"Seriously, fuck this thing."

The Bobbit Worm is known for being up to 10 feet long and it's horrible, painful bites are known to cause permanent nerve damage. This is less of a problem for its prey though, as they are dragged underground to be eaten alive.

The guinea worm

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dracunculus_medinensis

This is a parasitic worm that almost exclusively infects apes and humans in Africa. Thankfully due to foreign aid education programs and modern medicine, less and less reported cases of infection occur each year, with only 25 cases in 3 different countries in 2016.

Rarely do we actually try to exterminate an entire species deliberately, but in this case we may be getting very close and for what it's worth it's probably a good thing.

I have not found a single source saying they are venomous. There is NOTHING on scholar, not a single reference. I'd say by far: jigger flea

at least ticks stay on top of your skin. Jiggers burrow into your flesh. Unlike botflies and mangoworms, they don't come out. These fleas swell to the size of a pea with eggs and squirt them out to spread their numbers, then they die and decompose inside your flesh, causing septic infection and necrosis with godawful stench. They also hurt like a motherfucker.

No pharmaceutical or chemical strategy to date has worked. The only way is to cut each jigger out of the flesh with a knife, one by one. This leaves a network of massive holes which are nightmares for trypophobes

Fungi in general creep me the fuck out. They're the largest organisms for starters, dwarfing even the tallest trees. They're underground so you can't even see them being fucking everywhere and massive. They do a major amount of decomposing, turning organic matter into inorganic matter, like some sort of Death ferrying souls into the afterlife. They live inside the organic matter they're decomposing, it doesn't even have to be dead organic matter. They specialize in whatever they're digesting, meaning it's not too unrealistic for them to specialize in digesting humans. They dig through the organic matter with long thin tiny mycellium spewing enzymes to dissolve and then absorb their food. Their chitin composure is more resillient to medication compared to many other parasites to top it all off. I've literally had nightmares of fungi forcing their way through my innards dissolving me alive slowly and painfully and then emerging from my skin. I know fungi are incredibly useful for life in general especially on land but fuck me do they have the potential to be nightmare fuel.

These guys are friend-tier despite looking freaky. Tailless Whip Scorpions almost never attack humans and don't have any notable venom against us.

Centipedes, namely large scolopendra species, are the most terrifying creatures. They can kill reptiles, mammals, tarantulas, scorpions, and can give a hideous bite. Scolopendra Gigantea can get up to a foot long and frequently kill snakes. Their face is composed of modified claws that deliver a venomous bite.

Dear Members of this thread

I live in Canada. My whole life the most dangerous thing I have met is a jaguar in the woods. Beware, some crazy person has let loose his jaguar in the Canadian wilderness.

Please pass this on as Canada has really lax lawson exotic animals, I fear I May not survive another encounter.

Actually, jaguars are native to all of the Americas. Same way mountain lions are. They simply disappeared in North America due to loss of natural habitat and heavy hunting/poaching. But now they are making a comeback.

There was even a documentary I watched on TV the other night about jaguars living in the lower states.

So it isn't that surprising that the rare individual might have wound up all the way in Canada.

>Dermatobia fly eggs have been shown to be vectored by over 40 species of mosquitoes and muscoid flies, as well as one species of tick;[2] the female captures the mosquito and attaches its eggs to its body, then releases it. Either the eggs hatch while the mosquito is feeding and the larvae use the mosquito bite area as the entry point, or the eggs simply drop off the muscoid fly when it lands on the skin. The larvae develop inside the subcutaneous layers, and after approximately eight weeks, they drop out to pupate for at least a week, typically in the soil.

They don't. They survive off of whatever fat/energy reserves they built up as grubs living under ground. As adults they have one purpose, and one purpose only : find a cicada of the opposite sex and make babies. After that, they die. Sort of like mayflies; only cicadas get more time to do the deed.
