mother of god i loved zoo tycoon holy shit
okami is like my all time favorite game for barkan and feedan animal friends
Rumor has it that they're planning a sequel, I'd love to play a new Tokyo Jungle.
>You will never play a decent sequel of Zoo Tycoon 2
>You will never feel the joy of getting ZT mods through steam workshop and not having to search in all corners of the Internet to get even a good reskin.
Feels bad man
Take a real time shit and see the tactical smoke signal waft off of it.
It's the best Zelda game.
Anyone remember these bug-eyed freaks?
I loved these games
ugh, yes. played the shit out of catz
you can download all sorts of crazy mods to make them into anything you want
Do these count as animals?
I liked the breeding and raising of them
>Rumor has it that they're planning a sequel, I'd love to play a new Tokyo Jungle.
YES! I'd love a new Tokyo Jungle! It would be perfect if the maps were randomly generated... They should make humans that can reproduce, and no limit on the number of generations (remove the 100 years limit.) I could play that game forever...
First half of this masterpiece
What kind of horrible abomination of nature did you make?
Maybe it's more /out/ but I love theHunter
I was so hyped for the release, knew everything that got cut, and I still liked the game. It's easy to have big dreams, but honestly computers in general were weaker when it came out 8 years ago, and it would have been a nightmare if the game were any bigger than it already was.
The only thing I missed a lot were the underwater phase, between being a cell and walking on land, and having a "sandbox" form of each level (like, I could play as a cell consuming other cells for hours and hours, I hate that it literally forces you to move on to the next stage)
Also, the DRM on the physical discs was the worst DRM ever ever ever and I hate it so much wow. I installed it the max amount of times and now I have to call customer service or some shit to get the disc to work again
theres an indie game some people are working on called Thrive which is trying to be what spore should have been.
Their progress is predictable extremely slow, but they are progressing. Think they only have playable cell stage alpha so far.
>video games with real life animals and ones which exist only in the game
>animals that exist in real life are called 'animals'
>animals that don't exist in real life are called 'monsters'
I don't know why, but this always annoyed me.
Combine two animals to form a new creature and build an army to combat other assholes in an RT-strategy game.
This one is for all my fellow filthy casuals who were not allowed to own any dogs.
I rented this game over ten years ago and I still have the files on my memory card in hopes of buying it. I honestly can't even remember what I liked about it
spent so much of my childhood on this
theres a few zoo games on steam
Zoo Park, which looks like a budget bin zoo tycoon
World of Zoo, which seems to be a very cartoony zoo tycoon 2
Wildlife Park, which looks to be te most zoo tycoon like of them, even has extinct animal expansions n shit
Wildlife park 2, which looks the most like zoo tycoon 2 of anything on there, same thing with the dinosaur and marine expansions n shit
and there's also wildlife park 3, which you should avoid unless you love bad camera controls and micromanagement/excessive realism.
Read that you have to keep trees and plants alive, too. and animals will get spooked by jeep tours and shit.
>World of Zoo, which seems to be a very cartoony zoo tycoon 2
World of Zoo is made by the same company, but it's a very different game. It's more like a "Pokemon Channel" type game where you look into an exhibit and slightly interact with the animals therein. There's a few different animals and you can have a bunch of the kind you choose, and you can customize them colorwise, but there's not that much actual gameplay.
I've literally tried my whole life to be this cool
I remember trying really hard to create a narrative for Space Age.
>Warrior empire declares war on mine
>Kill them, but I was fed up with Zealots and Warriors attacking me
>Enact secret master plan
>Start trade relations with every homeworld within X Parsecs of mine.
>As soon as I can purchase the homeworld I do, then immediately attack the empire
>Pretty soon, wipe out every empire within X Parsecs
>Create doglike race in editor
>Seed them on planets bordering my empire
>Uplift with monolith
>Ally when they achieve space-age
>Now bordered by loyal guard dogs who fend off all attacks on core worlds
>there will never be a new zoo or roller coaster tycoon game that isn't consolized dlc trash
I was in middle school when this came out and didn't know anything about the cut content. played the fuck out of Spore. it's one of the primary reasons I am studying evolutionary biology, no doubt about it. what a fuckin comfy game.
I was mostly disappointed that I could enslave an enemy race, mindrape them back to primate-level beasts, and exhibit them in zoos.
Also that I couldn't create Halo-tier superweapons and spacestations to utterly wreck the opposition.
And direct strategic sieges of enemy planets, bypassing orbital defense and overwhelming strategic locations and population centers instead of just dropping down with my one ship and raping them from orbit.
I'm kind of surprised no one posted about the Shelter series yet. I really enjoyed those games.
Played so much of Zoo Tycoon and this game as a kid
Ghost Trick isn't specifically about animals but some of the main characters are animals. It's pretty gud and rather underrated
I remember the jaguars and leopards in the original zoo tycoon were fucking impossible to please. I eventually gave up on completing the challenge campaign because those writhe bitches would never be satisfied even when their exhibit was perfect.
Can't remember anything after dinosaur era...maybe I didn't get that far
I still play it occasionally and own the disc and case from 99. I don't get why there aren't more games like this.
I remember getting this game from the library as a kid. Surprised my pieces of shit computer could run the fuvkin thing. I went on to really like tycoon games, it wonder if this had something to do withbit
I'd rather not disclose my username. At the best of times the Zoo tycoon fandom was cringy as fuck, there wasn't 5 minutes where there wasn't fucking e-drama and teenage angst or mods infighting over petty shit like weather the furry was really an animal or not. It was a hotbed of autism and faggotry I'd rather disassociate myself from.
What I will say is I know some of my zt shit was hosted on zoo tek phoenix and one or two of my zt2 animals were hosted on zoo tycoon volcano.
the spergs at ztv hated me for distributing the cretaceous calamity expansion pack despite the fact I worked on it
Fucking up creatures 10x your size as an adorable cat with your cat bros. it's pretty good.
Why the fuck have they not released an updated version?
It was so fucking cool.
Nothing was more satisfying than researching/cloning one of your first dinosaurs, and watching it emerge into its new habitat while the jurassic park theme fucking expertly started up. Amazing contextual music, that game.
I remember that this game had a pretty rich marine fauna, as well as the ability to take photographs of them.
>tfw this was the only way I could have a corgi when I was a child.
Now I have my second Corgi.
>doing sick-ass fatalities when you play as the scorpion
GOTY all year erry year.
the newest grindiest dino dino game
Anyone play Zoo Vet? I played and re-played it when I was younger, to the point that I memorized the cases and didn't even have to think about it
Fuck that british cunt, though
Oh my god I remember these, I even considered making some myself back in the day but never had any good recording equipment. It's weird that there were so many. Weren't there some other ones in JPOG about zombie dinosaurs?
More interactive encyclopedias but I spent a very long time when I was young messing around with Microsoft Dangerous Creatures and 3D Dinosaur Adventure.
>playing GTA V
>lost in the hills north of los santos
>think to myself "Thank fuck there are no cougars in this ga..."
>Surprise cougar out of nowhere
I've got scars that will never heal from a 9lb house cat. I don't want to fuck with a feline that outweighs me.
The carnivores series scarred the shit outta me when i was younger.
