Little white worms keep crawling out of my cat's butt. They aren't in his poop at all; we only see them coming out of his butt or find the dried ones around. They also come out most often when he is in the bathroom with us.

We give him tapeworm meds but they keep coming back even though he doesn't have fleas and is inside only. Wtf?

>inb4 take him to a vet, we are already on it

Sounds like pinworms.

I thought dogs and cats couldn't get pinworms?

He hasn't been vomiting, losing weight, bloating, or losing luster in his fur though.

The only symptom is worms out the butt but not in his poop for whatever reason

First, inside cats can still have fleas. You yourself carry in fleas every time you go outside. It's just easier to manage when they are inside cats.

Two, don't use flea collars-they don't work. Least, not for more than a couple days and they can make your cat sick on rare occasion, so just around not worth it. Just get a good flea med from the vet or some frontline.

Three, check out your local petstore, feedstore, or barnyard store for an all around de-wormer just to have on back up if it happens again, but the vet should be able to give you the right med for the right type of worms he has.

Good luck OP, hope your cat gets better.

My cat had worms, so we took him to the vet and now there's no worms. I advise you do the same so you won't waste money on meds you don't know will work

What kind of worms did your cat have? Also, how much did the vet charge for the meds?
