First outbreak is usually the worst, and they become more mild over time. Could still be different for you, but in general the second outbreak won't be as severe.

iirc about half of people who have a first herpes outbreak don't ever have any others, though some people obviously do and it keeps recurring at the same severity for the rest of their life
