Does anyone else have this problem? I've been doing it for a few years now and I can't stop. I pick my fingers, lips, pimples, scabs. It gets annoying when the scars are visible and others ask about it. I mostly do it when I'm nervous. Sometimes I don't even realize I'm doing it.

I have the same problem. It got so bad that (combined with my terrible hs acne) I now have two symmetrical scars on my face that facial hair won't grow on and are very noticeable. Now I don't have acne anymore but I still occasionally bite the skin around my nails and my lips/inside of cheek when bored.
Sadly I don't have any help for you except to try and conciously be aware of what you're doing and stop it. Helped me mostly quit biting my fingers and my lips and inner cheek (at least for a while for those last two, then it came back during winter)

I read this as I was picking at my fingers actually.
It's extremely annoying when people ask about the scars. One person even asked me if I got my fingers caught in a blender once. just great.
I wish I could help you to stop but I haven't even stopped myself. I know that there's some nail polish stuff that makes your fingers taste nasty, haven't tried it yet though. Might work for you if you want to stop! If you're girl then I know having fake nails helped me for a bit, was harder to pick at my arms and fingers, but at the same time it costs money.
I honestly though I was the only one with it for a while, everyone used to look at me weird back during school for doing it. I feel for you OP.

-Wear gloves whenever possible
-Keep nails as short as you can
-Avoid looking in mirrors
-Be patient and forgiving with yourself
