Try expending your excess energy with a craft-based hobby. Tire yourself out and achieve fulfilment in your home carpentry workshop, and you'll soon find you're on the same page as your boyfriend in the bedroom.

As someone with a very similar problem, focus on sports. I play squash and volleyball every week and it really helps.
