Not in the least - but when all else fails, try new tactics! For instance: if you haven't made friends in class and in your dorm, try joining a college society or learning a new skill. Get into woodwork, and you'll pick up valuable knowledge of carpentry while also expanding your social circles.

Not OP, but in a similar situation. The thing is I don't dorm and I go part time while working most days. Not sure if that's useful info, but figured I'd put it out there.
