There always complains about the time the devs int /stg/ take to come up with an update and even if i agree on the most parts, most the projects are one man projects.

If you want to see something funny, you should see the HHS+ development forum, it look like 10 devs running in circle with their engine trying to improve random things or rebuilding from ashes an entire system in the code and then they have to correct every events and all the shit to works with the new systems or the edit and it take them months.

And while they are doing so there is nobody to write news scenes or events or new gameplay mechanics or improvments and so everyyears they release a update of their game and it's the same game with differents mechanisms in the code but no visible reals changes for the players and everything crashs because somes parts of the games haven't been updated and shit and there is no new events or contents.

And there is at least 20 to 30 peoples postings on their forum and no one do news contents, they are just focused on rebuilding parts of the existing game and doing damage controls on the bugs generated in the process, and it take them months.

It's development hell and it's beautiful to watch.

I actually work in audio media, and I know for a fact getting amateur/entry level female VO artists is extremely tough. In fact getting just one would be a challenge, getting 5 unique ones for Home Invasion, or getting 2 VOs that can do multiple voices, would be extremely hard.

"Yeah, I did VO work for a low level porn game aimed at anonymous incestuous perverts" is not something people breaking in want on their resumes. It's not something they can hand to a radio station or TV people or what have you and impress them. The only way you'll get them to do is for decent pay and have them do it uncredited, or under pseudonyms. This is EXACTLY what happened for HuniePop. Despite their success, they had to keep the in game stuff fairly innocent, pay the Actresses well, and almost all of them did it under different names because they didn't want HuniePop coming up when you googled them. Hard cash is your only incentive.

So I, personally, think it's mistake both on a financial level, and on a use of time level, to pursue Voice Actresses for Home Invasion. But it's not my business and the guy is going to do with his business what he wants.

I'm not hiring amateurs, I'm hiring professionals. You'll see when you listen to it. I'm not doing this because it's "popular", I'm doing this because I'm trying to make a proper game and ALL the Japanese games have voicework. I'm also trying to give fans less gaps between releases. Day three's release might take a month or two longer but you'll end up with with more frequent releases. Some of my voice actresses worked on Yandere Sim and Huniepop, for instance, which is about as much experience with adult game voicework you're gonna see anywhere since there isn't a real adult industry yet. Not counting their SFW records which are pretty impressive. These are not just random tendie-eating chicks I picked up on /r9k/ to moan into a mic. They're professional voice actresses, just as well trained and professional as my artists.

You may love the voices or hate them but they aren't going to significantly slow down development and you'll be able to turn both them and the music off. Art needs awhile no matter what and the character CG needs replaced with the real deal anyway. I might as well do it now; the game is significantly worsened (IMO) as a result of continuing to use placeholder art. Once it's done it'll have all the character CG for all five days, significantly shortening later release periods. The truth is the voices and music aren't slowing a damn thing down; art is and will be the most time consuming thing on the game, period.

And that's about the first and only explanation I have an interest in giving.

Any artists here want to work on a game? I got some developers already, but I need another artist to assist me in making art assets. The team has a bare bones prototype already and I've been doing most of the graphics plus level design.

The style I'm going for is pixel art. You won't be working from scratch as I have made a couple sprites already and tilesets. Also being decent at drawing and animation is a huge plus, but please know some art foundations (anatomy, composition, etc.)

Also the team is in the process of starting a patreon, but so far we've been developing this game on our spare time.

Reporting so far: We've been doing good, we are doing the most boring part of the game, the filling texts, aka: descriptions for skills, items, equip, etc. So really nothing interesting to report, the base code is pretty much done and once I finish this drawing i will probably test add her stats and test the combat system with something more substancial than placeholders.
