The OC Discord's come up with weekly challenges (similar to the ones found in the old OC discussion threads). To those who don't use the Discord server, here are the challenges if you're interested try them.

That's not what I'm looking to do. I was totally for the OC drawthreads when they became a thing and still am, having made both requests and deliveries. Think of the challenges more as additional free form requests. Sure some of the challenges there are a bit circlejerky, but there's still no harm in letting drawfriends know about them. If a drawfriend doesn't have an OC or would like to draw someone elses character, it's as simple as ignoring the word "your". A drawfriend could choose an OC design they like from the thread and do a challenge with them.

The thread could use more characters in general I think, as there's a finite number of users in these threads and therefore a small pool of characters that get requested each thread. Until then challenges can work as an addition to vary the request pool. The core circlejerk of old still remains in the Discord.

At a second glance some of the challenges don't really fit the threads' smutty nature and are more about sfw world and character building or just about being silly. I'll give you that. Still I like the idea of challenges in these threads as it does offer more request variety. One idea could be for the OC drawthreads to have their own challenges or prompts each thread that are purely lewd. For example:
>Choose an OC from the thread
>A) Draw the OC in the sexiest lingerie you can imagine
>B) Draw the OC having sex in a public setting
>C) Draw the OC's sexy genderswap
And so on. Just a thought.
