Know any games being developed? Have a game yourself? This is the general for you.
Western Games in Development:
Western RPG Maker Games
Full Games / Old Games
Here are both the latest Incest Story and the latest Super Creep. I still think these games are insane, but here you go:
Are all of the Overwhored scenes going to be so short? I'm only at the desert city so far but every single scene has been at most like 25 seconds long. I can't fap to 20-30 minutes of repetitive combat and 20 seconds of lewd content desu.
Why would you even want that?
And who would title a thread /weg/ if it contained porn modules for Star Wars P&P? WEG only published the old version back in the 90s. Also says right behind the acronym in the title what it stands for.
Come because there is porn in it, stay because the game is actually good.
I am well aware, but never ran into that bug (or any other actually noteworthy bug, guess I am just lucky).
To me Overwhored is mostly about the actual story, writing and characters, which makes it a good game to play. You are simply playing the wrong game if you want a "dick in hand" kind of thing.
And I do hope CypressZeta manages to fix those last bugs as well.
Quit asking the same shit every damn thread (sometimes multiple times in one) and check the archive.
Unless you are looking for something more specific, your question has been answered so many times already. Simple answer is Twine.
Judging by how often this question gets asked, I'd say add a sentence about it to the OP.
I have already fixed most of them, I just have to force myself to play through the game to make sure it's working well before I put out a release that fixes it.
I love the game, I'm proud of it and I'm glad I worked on it, but by god am I sick of playing it. Five years of constantly playing the same game will do that to you.
I can definitely see that happening.
Also didn't really encounter any noteworthy bugs back in 0.95, btw.
Hoping you get this done soon. 5 years is one hell of a long time to work on a project solo. All the best, man.
Did you also develop it? If so I'm sorry about how BioWare turned out. At this point playing it is like trying to fuck sandpaper. Yes, you're fucking, but on the other hand AAAAGHGHAGHADFALKF FUUUUUCK-!
Look, here's the honest truth. I don't ever throw people under the bus publicly and I won't name names, but I hired some people to do some work for me. They fucked up EVERYTHING and I didn't realize it until after I updated my backups. They were supposed to just update some maps. I fired them and did my best to work with what I had. But just about everything - including the infamous "weather_bug" is their fault. I took so long finishing this fucking thing up because of how much they fucked everything up and I've been trying to get it all working since.
In the future I think I'll keep two backups and have the second one be at least a month old.
At least my practice of keeping a backup has saved me from some heartache. Just not enough.
>Did you also develop it? If so I'm sorry about how BioWare turned out.
Your waifus Imoen, Viconia, and all their friends are getting it in every copyright owned orifice. Forever.
Read the BG Novelization. She's in for worse soon. MICROTRANSACTIONS.
I've heard. Must really suck to work on a game for so long just to have other people come in and fuck it up like that so you have to fix their shit.
You seem to handle this pretty professionally though, which also showed when you were talking about how to deal with artists.
I like your attitude towards all of this and how you handle things publicly. Just started working on a project of my own recently and I think I learned a thing or two, so thanks.
You seem like the kind of person one can actually work with.
I want to do more than just make a game. The honest truth is that I would really like to make a company that's the Alicesoft or Lilith of the west. That's part of why I act like a professional - I take this seriously.
Unfortunately sale of adult games still doesn't work here. Patreon is all I've got, so I'll stick to the "free with bonuses for donating" model until it is. I can't make games and set up something like Kimochi at the same time. Even if I did I'd probably fall to the same pitfalls that they did.
As it stands I'll build bigger stuff as I get more dosh. I just can't seem to break $1600 though, and that's THIN when trying to pay a team even if I don't take anything for myself, which I didn't last year. It was $1650 when I released the final beta and now it's down to $1473. Guess people really hated the bugs. Seems to go back to $1400 or $1500 at the start of every month. Hopefully enthusiasm will pick up again when I start on Home Invasion or the expansion for Overwhored after it. Or perhaps I need to think up better Patreon bonuses.
Right now I'm stuck herding goats. Yes, actually herding goats. I can't build the next Alicesoft yet but I will happily sell you some goat milk. Also the goats, because fuck them. They're only cute on the internet.
Yeah, kinda dreaming of something like that as well, but I think chances of me managing to actually make it are slim.
You've got a pretty good start there, so I'll just hope that you make it. Getting good, professionally executed, western porn games on a regular basis would be great.
Grew up in a rural part of my country. Goats are assholes. Only sheep are worse.
Yes and no. I got more close to the promised amount but a number of patrons drop their pledges at the start of a new month. Patreon has updated so you see what you're actually likely to get now. Over the course of the month it'll gradually build back up to a similar amount from new patrons.
Basically it looks like I've hit a cap doing business as normal. I'm going to have to start... *shudder* advertising. Or hire someone to do it, because fuck doing it myself. I have no life or free time as it is.
Chickens are by far the worst to raise. I hate the smell of them, I hate how stupid they are and how they kill themselves in panic over nothing.
Cows are the best to raise. Cows are easy and nice. Expensive as fuck though.
Actually I take it back. I am a proud Idahoan, potatoes are best to raise. I've never had to tackledive a potato that got out of its patch and ran into the road in front of a car - unlike goats.
>Look, here's the honest truth. I don't ever throw people under the bus publicly and I won't name names, but I hired some people to do some work for me. They fucked up EVERYTHING and I didn't realize it until after I updated my backups.
Ahhh, so that didn't work out? I was kind of happy you'd get some help in the RPGMaker department after I decided to simply fade out of my volunteering leaving nothing but promises behind (sorry).
That's strange, they seemed competent enough.
Did they fuck up scripting?
Anyways, I'm happy you've finally got that project done and behind. Truth be told, I always had the suspicion you're not going to pull through with it.
You're a good writer. Probably my favorite western H-game dev too.
Ah hey. I think I know who you are. I hired a few people. Most worked out, one team didn't. There's a person that I have on call now that's a fucking rock-star, did the flashback maps. She's great.
Honestly there was no question as to whether I'd finish it once money entered the equation. I may have been thoroughly sick of plowing through the game on my own but by god it was going to get finished. People gave me their cash, I wasn't going to fuck them over! I'd honestly, truthfully rather die than piss all over my word like that. I was fully prepared to draw all the scenes myself and do the final maps myself if I had to. It would have been shit, but I would have done it.
You never had an obligation because you never got paid. You joined before Patreon. You added a hell of a lot to the game and I appreciate it. I don't hold it against you that you dropped off. Anyone would get sick of it after remaking the whole damn thing in a new system. I know I got sick as fuck of it at that point. Thanks for your help man.
Never had a problem with chickens. They just run around and shit up the place. The panic thing is true though.
Guineafowls are weird. You think you know them because they are almost like chickens, but they are just worse.
Cows are nice, they just make a huge mess to clean up (although that's still okay to do with modern byres).
Any idea of how much it actually cost to finish the game? As in how much money was poured into the project by yourself and through Patreon?
I can understand if you can't or don't want to answer. Just curious what I got myself into here.
Depends. I made about $10k total from Overwhored last year and spent almost all of it on the game. I reserved a bit for a flight, some to give to my sister (about $200/mo) and a bit for medical stuff.
If I actually TOOK money from the funds I was given $10k wouldn't have gone far at all. It wouldn't have even have paid for the time I put into it. I intend to do so this year because I'm tired of farming and it's time to move. I have military injuries and Washington has certain medication I can't get here that's far better than the Opiates the VA tries to stuff me full of to deal with it.
A game costs what you put into it. If you work full time on it for no pay and do everything yourself it costs nothing except your sanity and personal living standards. If you're running a team like a real game studio it can cost a lot or a little depending on how ambitious you are. I wanted good art and spent a lot on it. That said mapping cost a small fortune and so did programming. It makes me really wish I weren't complete shit at mapping and could do the programming myself.
If you made a game like an actual studio and paid yourself you could make one for $40-$50k, maybe? That's really lowballing it. The Avernum guys put out their budget, I think it's $120k for their games and they're as low budget as it gets.
My next game is waaaaay cheaper to make. I designed it to be short, simple, and sweet. I'm hoping to pull about half the patreon money for myself this year, though I still have to pay about $750 in taxes every three months.
Also the neighbors have guineahens. Every day I wish they would die. They never shut up. Ever.
My nickname kind of gave away these imageboards as my natural habitat, eh?
Anyways, I kind of felt I was forcing a sort of pressure on you with my contributing. You had your own pace, and I meant to hasten it by aiding you in the most tedious part of RPGMaker - mapmaking. But I felt that didn't kind of match your own idea of the game - the maps were too large, or too impractical, or too ambitious. Also some miscommunication between us with talking through a .txt file through Dropbox.
Speaking of Dropbox, I downloaded it just now (new PC since those years ago) and I still have access to the raw game files. Hue.
I wish you the best if you really wanna ascend the western H-game scene to match the Japanese one. It won't be easy.
My advice would be to focus more on an initial plan when starting your next project. That change to VX Ace was painful. Painful because I actually advised you to do it... but BEFORE I re-did all the maps in VX already with its non-custom tilesets.
Again though, great job on FINISHING a project. A lot of japanese or eastern developers can't even boast about that. I know I couldn't - I basically ditched you with no goodbye; even if I theoretically had no formal responsibility in a first place, it still somewhat tugged at my conscience for a while.
I do think I have pretty high standards, so it won't be cheap. I am a professional programmer though, so I can do that myself and while I hate mapping I am still okay at it. Might just pay someone to overhaul the maps later.
Also learned to draw, but I am never happy with my own stuff, so I am thinking of paying an artist, although I could do it myself. Really wanted to be able to finish this on my own before I even start, just in case.
Seems like I'll eventually have to get some funding though. Was hoping I could do without, but I can either get a job making enough money to fund the game myself or have the time to work on it, not both sadly.
That's part of what I was talking about. A lot like chickens, just worse in almost every way. Annoying fucks.
I'm just gonna publicly say that the jungle maps are your fault, anon. Blame anon for it, not me! (I was just way too cheap to get them remade and every aspect of the finished game is really my responsibility. They were a fuckload of work and I still appreciate it.)
The shit I hear about those jungles...
The best stuff you did was behind the scenes, and in truth you really were very helpful. But yeah, we had some major disagreements on how big the maps should be. I liked small and tight, you liked big and detailed. Your style still ended up in most of the game, so cheers!
Also as far as I know the only people to finish a western h-game are Gabe and I. She made Legend of Queen Opala, and I made Overwhored.
Mappers can cost hundreds of dollars to make maps, however ludicrous that might sound to you. Art can cost about $50 to $100 a pic and that's with me being a cheap bastard. Programmers cost about $20 an hour. If I weren't ludicrously tight fisted and cheap that could have been gone in a day.
>Depends. I made about $10k total from Overwhored last year and spent almost all of it on the game.
Oh shit, yeah, the art! I had completely forgotten about it. No, yeah, that makes sense.
I hate it, but it's the most convenient software out there.
All the classics were made in them too - Vitamin Quest, Violated Heroine.
Renpy is decent, but only for VN's.
What else is there with actual gameplay- however shit it may be in its basic function?
There's nothing comprehensive. You've got gamemaker and unity but you need some actual programming chops to do that.
The thing is that almost no one is a kind of "game all-rounder". Programmers are often shit at writing, writers (like me) are often unable to program, nobody can draw except the artists and they can't motivate themselves to do shit and certainly can't write, etc.
Making a real game either requires a full autist-level of dedication over several years or a team. Teams don't work in this "industry" because you can't sell games so nobody makes money so people bail when they get bored or have a disagreement. I won't use free labor anymore because I learned that the hard way with a few people. Those teams that do manage to hit it big on places like Patreon may have no central management and are unable to actually finish shit. They may put out games that have less features every build because they aren't focused on finishing a game and moving onto a new project. They're constantly redesigning it because there's no central plan. Groups like that WILL crash and burn eventually. You need someone to call the shots, hire and fire people and actually give an overall direction to a project.
Honestly if you want my bet as to who will finish a game in the future it's Hentaiwriter, the guy that makes Future Fragments. He had someone make a system for him and it works damn well, plus he has his act together.
No aspect of game development is that hard individually. Even learning to draw isn't as hard as people think. Writing, music, programming - people can take on aspects of it. But all of it at once? That's hard as all fuck. You're better off specializing in something, doing what you can muddle through with your own skills and then hiring people to cover your weaknesses.
>Actually I take it back. I am a proud Idahoan, potatoes are best to raise.
Weird. I'm also from Idaho (Coeur d'Alene) and I've never even seen a potato farm. Guess it's just a thing down south.
Ah yes, snowland. I love that city, lived there for many years. It's beautiful during the one month of summer you get.
Farming is definitely a southern Idaho thing, we're basically different states. This is a desert with farms along the snake river, that is a mountain forest area that produces college students.
And none of us should like Eastern Idaho because that place looks like the surface of the moon and is wall to wall Mormons. Ski-Resorts aside.
Noxian Nights is only a month or three out from completion, so I don't think they're going to trip at the finish line. The Last Sovereign has been in production longer and still is less than halfway done, but should be finishing up the current chapter this month.
On the subject of bugs, I had one where beating the arena at the bandit hideout and then exiting the arena popped me out in the middle of the soldier barracks which I hadn't unlocked yet. I wandered out and continued with the plotline, but I hope I didn't screw anything up.
I know about it and it's one of the bugs that's getting fixed in the 1.1 release. It was an easy fix because it was a dumb mistake. Rather than redo the pathing for the old desert arena map (which would have been a bother and a half) I just cloned the barracks arena map and changed everything so it'd work there. I missed changing the exit so it still dumped you out in the barracks.
I'm not too bothered by those bugs. The ones I don't want to hear about are weird shit in the village. I hate that village more than I've ever hated anything before. If it doesn't break the game I'm not touching that place again. Ever.
And damn it all to hell but the name error bug isn't something I can fix. I wish I could and that's the main thing that doesn't let saves transfer. I'd need a programmer to fix it and mine is AWOL. At this point I don't want to fuck with it again anyway.
Care to give me a description of the bug and a guess as to what might cause it, if you have one?
I haven't worked much with Ruby, but I am a professional developer and would love to help if I can.
Basically there's a script I added to the game a while back that I don't want to remove. The tower defense battle doesn't work without it.
I believe the actual bug is this one:
"Script 'Idle Party Events' line 93: NoMethodError occurred. undefined method id is nil: NilClass."
Basically the game looks for some info that isn't there (because it only started existing after that script was added) and the game crashes. I had a fix written up; unfortunately fix didn't work for old saves and I decided it was more trouble than it was worth to fix (considering the cost of programmers) since it only broke saves from old versions of the game. Much to my chagrin it seems to randomly break saves from more recent versions of the game and I don't know why. At this point I'm VERY leery of touching any scripts - every time I have done so in the past or hired someone to do so it turned into a big headache and I'm ready to fold up the game and be done with it. There won't be a need for old saves after the final bugfix version of Overwhored is out anyway.
It sucks because I'm well aware my second biggest fanbase after the US is in Germany. I don't have a choice though. What else CAN I do? I'd love to accommodate you Krauts but I don't know how I could.
That said you can't pay directly with paypal but you don't get rejected if you use a paypal credit card. It's weird.
Your backers wouldn't be a fan of it, but you could see if MangaGamer would be willing to work with you to sell one of your games. They're a relatively large Western company that sells eroge. They don't do any content creation, though, so their profit margins are probably massive.
If you'd copy that line and paste it here, I could see if there is a way to fix it on that alone or whether you actually need to see the full script.
Your error isn't uncommon and usually some variable simply stores nil when it shouldn't.
Usually because it references something in the database that got deleted. If that's the case there is a very simple solution for it that would fix the error in this place (but may cause it at some other place if it is referenced again).
Also German btw. and like your game. Would be cool if I could back it somehow.
It wouldn't make sense to put out a game for free in one place and sell it in another.
Tried it, Paypal damn near shut everything down.
I'd post it, but I get the feeling 4chan is gonna mark this as spam and ban me. So I'll link you to the script instead.
The simple fix was this:
class Game_Party < Game_Unit
return 1 if @id.nil?
Keep in mind I'm a writer, I barely understand how any of this shit works. I'm understandably afraid of messing with anything.
Thanks though, I appreciate your offer. The German community has been a pillar throughout development for reasons I've never quite understood. I guess you all don't hate RPG Maker as much as the English speakers do.
I had a neat little chat with a German fan a while back, actually. Very fun.
I don't know how to accommodate German fans, but I'll think of something. You all deserve it. Plus I do like money.
Ah, well I'd like to do that someday if it becomes viable. Right now if it didn't work out it'd be a disaster and I couldn't fund the development without Patreon.
Now I shall head off to bed. Nice talking with you all.
Since Overwhored is quite old, when did you implement the script? There was an update at Jan 3rd 2015, maybe something there fixed it?
>Tried it, Paypal damn near shut everything down.
Sucks... Would like to support development, but im not going to get a credit card just so i can support pron on the internet :x
Provided I am right with what the error actually is, I'd actually suggest using an if statement in that line to check if id is nil and only executing the line when it isn't.
That'd be a simple fix.
But RPG Maker saves mess up when scripts are changed frequently, even if the fix is in theory entirely compatible to a save.
The fix would look like this:
"line 93's code" if @id
The code you linked has no numbering to its lines, so it's a hassle to figure out which line it actually is, otherwise I could post the entire line fixed.
I don't see a point in hating on an engine if people can make good games with it and some people definitely managed to do just that. But I can also value games with the main focus on story, so I don't need to have fancy mechanics.
I also like the old school battle system it has, although I like to tweak it a bit to make it a little more interesting while still retaining the charm of older games.
RPG Maker stuff really reminds me of some older Japanese RPGs I used to play.
I also like Pier Solar. Really plays like the old SNES RPGs but with a few added features and it got a HD makeover. Just wish the characters would fit that HD environment too.
Question is if you can call that "realistic", which is what it has to be for underage stuff to be illegal.
The courts define this very, very broadly, so I wouldn't want to have to defend them over this.
Another illegal thing is violent porn, f.e. stuff depicting rape.
Doesn't matter. They could still get you for uploading it. Even possession is illegal, so hosting it in the Netherlands does shit to protect you, it only prevents it from being taken down.
Note that Global Rule #3 is in effect! This means NO images with anthropomorphic ("furry"), grotesque ("guro"), or underage ("loli/shota") characters. Images depicting bestiality or scat are not to be uploaded. If you want to post this kind of material, go to /b/. For the purpose of defining what is anthropomorphic ("furry"), do not post images of characters with muzzles, snouts, or any other major non-human characteristics. Minor features like cat ears are fine.
You'd literally only have to google what the program does to find out the name.
But most links google gives me for it are dead, so take this from /hgg2D/:
said it before Ill say it again
the queen Opala games need more Opala
Release of 1.1 should be done tonight (somewhere before 6AM tomorrow, in other words), and I've been thinking.
If there's one respect in which I failed with Overwhored it was not having a certain type of character - a type of character that I could use in all kinds of lewd art and throughout the game and as a foil to the main character. I'm going to have to put this in Overwhored 2.
Overwhored was heavily inspired by the Lunar series. This character type is one you see in Lunar 2.
I'm speaking of course of Borgan. It'll work particularly well with a female main character in Overwhored 2. A fat ugly gonk with artificially created Overmind like powers that lets you play as a bad guy and feel good because you've got someone worse like him about. While he wouldn't be the main villain - I already know who that would be in two - he'd make a great "disc one" antagonist.
Absolutely agree, but also for the sort of game Gabe clearly is actually interested in making it'd frankly probably be best to have it star and you play as Osira, for all the monster-fucking scenes Gabe could ever want.
A game about Osira's rise to power after the failed coup before the first game could actually be kind of fun, and would lend itself to the sort of scenes Gabe actually wants to include.
I was having horrifying flash backs to his boss fight on the Sega CD version.
>for the sort of game Gabe clearly is actually interested in making it'd frankly probably be best to have it star and you play as Osira, for all the monster-fucking scenes Gabe could ever want.
That's as sad as it is correct.
For that matter while I certainly appreciate Gabe's efforts to make the games as big as possible but she really needs to learn a thing or two about pacing.
I don't mean to be a prick but no one plays RPG maker games for the "fun combat" and a lot of her zones are at lest two screens larger then they should be.
and for crying out loud add a dash button and a save anywhere function. Ive played with RPG maker they're standard features. It's more work to turn them off
Thanks senpai, also i have a question. Do you know where do find the pin-ups?
There was a album and it had most of them and there was a nice anon like you, then the site reset happend and to my misfortune i didn't saved any pic.
Slight aside, but is it possible to use rgssdecrypter to pull and implement a locked sprite for the game? I'm speaking specifically of the mature farah costume in Opala Origins.
Maybe it's above my head, but I'm just curious. Thanks!
>Shitty RPG Maker games, with free Daz 3d assets, get more money on Patreon, than games, where creators actually put effort into a game.
Probably trying to shill his own stuff in a way not blatantly obvious.
I already lowered my expectations for western games after the ones I played, but I still don't like that one. I can even ignore the art style not being my taste, but gameplay was bad with little reward.
Sad thing is it seems believable that people actually hold that opinion on /aco/ just judging by all those shitstorms in these generals with people arguing forever about some utterly stupid shit.
Incest Story's dev also shilled for his game fucking everywhere.
Tropic is a shitposter that only posts here.
Are you really surprised that the one who advertises is doing better than the one who doesn't?
I know, but still it's kind of sad to watch
Here is something that you know if it had funding could be something actually great
and then here is something else that you know no amount of money that you throw at it could ever fix
It's really really sad
Again all the things that are needed for a game is there
Someone who can write
A person who knows about game systems
Like all of those things would only be improved if it had funding to do so
That's just my opinon though
Speaking as someone who does make money through Patreon it's part of the package. You have to be able to advertise just as much as you need someone who can write or program to make the game itself. If you don't it's a failure just as much as it is if you had a game-breaking bug in the game.
I'm admittedly shit at it and some people are fucking amazing at it, just like some people are good at coding or writing or art. I'm going to hire some people to help before long, most likely.
You have to look at it this way: Advertising is a fundamental part of game design. You have to learn to do it or get someone else to. If you don't do it it doesn't matter how good your game is.
Speaking of, would you like to give me your shekels, my friend?
In a perfect society, maybe. But my point is more or less that advertising is a form of merit. Communication is a skill as much as coding or writing or art.
That said you can't control the actions of anyone else. All you can do is vote with YOUR dollar. You'll end up with a lot less stress in life when you realize you aren't going to change everyone else into sensible creatures and just focus on getting your own actions right. Everyone is an idiot sometimes including you and including me; you're never going to eliminate stupidity and you're often blind to your own. At best your job could be something focusing on communication where you convince other people to come around to your point of view - for a little while, to an extent. Maybe just long enough to provide a bit of power to your cause in the form of some kind of representational form, like say monetary currency.
Most weight agree that Walmart isn't the best store available, yet they're still fucking massive. Why? Because they're everywhere. They make sure that everyone knows about their brand. It's the whole "I don't care what you write about me as long as you spell my name correctly" thing.
Well shilling is a skill, and hiring/being a talented shillmaster to run the shillparade is just as valuable a trait as having an artist do the art shit, and a coder do the code shit.
Since ideally the shillmaster helps keep everyone in a job in their own way.
Since we are here, do you know if it's possible to meet Lucy at the gym? There's a quest telling me to meet her there, but once there there's no way to find her. Do you think it's another incomplete quest?
Talk to everyone in the gym. Check out the changing room. Be sure you have a pill.
It is buggy though, the dialogue suggests the scene is for far later on in the story, but you can complete the quest before even going to the hotel.
>Talk to everyone in the gym. Check out the changing room. Be sure you have a pill.
That's what I did, but it doesn't work. It tells me I should have taken a pill but it doesn't let me do it.
I just saw a group of guys from my windows walking on the street going to a bar o whatever while i'm in my place playing porn games and downloading 2 more, i came so close to killing myself, but i'm okay now, just needed a little joint
Can someone upload this in mediafire or megaupload? Uploaded kind sucks.
One day,cow free of degeneracy will be sought by the cum...
I'm stuck in Incest Story 0.5
From the start:
I got the newspaper
Got thrown into sewers, got out
Delivered newspaper, peeked mom in bathroom
Got luggage for sister, fucked her
Went to aunt, payed her bills,
Made a picture of her, blackmailed her
Went with Tom to his dad company and got sleeping pills
Got stopped by a police woman
And that's it, I can't find anything else to do.
I can also fuck prostitute but it doesn't lead anywhere. I decrypted gallery and thereare shitloads more pics so I guess I'm missing something.
Okay, I've finished my playthrough, got everything working right.
The game isn't perfect but what is? I'm gonna make a few tweaks like removing the regen power on the Cherub and adding a few expressions. Once that's done I'll upload it and 1.1 will be good to go.
If you think that'll stop anything you're nuts.
It's uploading now. Still has a few little things that are basically just typos with skills and items but at this point I'm not gonna spend hours and hours looking for typos. It is fine to hate me for this.
No, that would be Zone. I'm just a derpy cat that randomly whacked at a keyboard for five years to make one mildly decent game with a lot of help from others.
You said it, shitpost-anon! Time to take my shekels and leave!
I can't even think of any big japanease games that are done. Most are janky flash games or generic rpg maker stuff. Though not being able to speak moonrunes I haven't really looked that much
Off the trop of my head theres the monster girl quest series, and that rpg maker sequel that is slowly getting translated, the Rance series, Kamidori Alchemy Meister its sequels. I'm sure there is more but that's all I can think of
I want to be like the Lilithsoft or Alicesoft of the west, so one should hope I could at least finish something. If I made as much as Legend of Queen Opala or Incest Story I'm confident I could do it, too.
That said I appreciate the sentiment.
There's plenty, you're just not thinking of the right category. Most are never translated. Japan has a kind of AAA h-game industry that doesn't get taken to the US. There are plenty of games there. The Alicesoft Rance series, VN's like Bishop's games or the Taiminin Asagi games, and games like Kangoku Senkan/Prison Battleship (one of my favorite games for its mind control themes, a few gross scenes at the end aside).
Most of them are visual novels. A few are "real" games. Alicesoft especially is good at RPG's. Unfortunately just like the rest of you I cannot read moonrunes. There's a few games I'd love to play if I could. The Soushinjutsu games, the game I can't remember the name of that's something like Saimin Gakuen that's about brainwashing a highschool, Saimin Yuuri, etc.
I really like mind control in case you couldn't tell.
Part of the reason I want to build an industry here is because so many Japanese studios - fucking Lilith especially - are extremely aggressive in preventing Americans from playing their games. We can't buy them so we pirate them, and we can't translate them because they'll take down translations. We deserve awesome h-games just as much as the Japanese do. And then we can hold the awesome games above the heads of Japanese Otaku, crying at not having OUR superior waifus, folded one mirrion times!
Alright, here it is like I said this morning. Overwhored version 1.1. There were some bugs that slipped through the beta tests, I've played through myself and fixed up just about all of them. There will still be a few typos in the items but otherwise this should be good to go. Version 1.1 has nothing new, just bugfixes. If you completed version 1.0 without issue then you won't need this. If you hit a game-stopping bug this should help!
you don't know the half of it
I share zeta's exact sentiment
but he's going about it all wrong
he can't do what we want to do with a lame-ass rpg maker game
you have to make it even easier for normies to get into
you have to compete with shit like pornhub
it's a shitload of work and writing essays on 4chan isn't exactly the sign of a winner now is it
No idea. If I knew I'd copy it. If you figure it out tell me.
Well that's why I'm experimenting with visual novels next. We'll see how it goes. Pic related is from the character design sketches where the older studious sister changes as she's brainwashed.
I hope so but I don't know.
Wait, who did you nuke? I'm normally a /tg/ poster, I didn't follow over from the /hgg2d/ threads on /vg/. My history knowledge here is rather lacking.
You might as well see levels 1 and 2 as well. This is how she starts. She's Kira, the older sister and a chemical engineer. Very studious and hardassed.
The basic plot is that he's snowed in with his family for a week. He's a perv that's not really loved by his mom or sisters; the game starts out with him peeping on his sporty twin sister in the shower. That's pic related.
He's a musician and prepares a kind of subliminal audio file that makes it easy for him to put them into trances and brainwash them. He plays it through speakers in the floor of his room in the attic in their bedrooms while they sleep. During the day he'll put them into trances and gradually brainwash them into his sex slaves. There will be five days; each day he can change them a little more.
So it's basic hypnosis but with some musical subliminals during sleep.
I fucking know, right? I originally came up with the idea for this when I was making Overwhored because Overwhored is purposefully vanilla and didn't hit my kinks very well. It's meant to be a gateway drug. This is more or less what interests me personally, being used as a test for a short visual novel. If this works out alright I'll make a horror-movie-monstergirl dating sim game after the expansion for Overwhored where the Overmind invades heaven.
She changes herself. Her arc is about turning her from a stressed-wreck into an exhibitionist. That said I might implement an option to choose their clothing. Depends how hard it is to implement.
Ah, that's what you were referring to. I thought you were referring to 4chan attacking Lilithsoft or something.
>He's a musician and prepares a kind of subliminal audio file that makes it easy for him to put them into trances and brainwash them.
All right, a solid classic. Do you have a sketch of the main character?
The dating sim sounds like a great idea.
I am on board with the exhibitionist thing, I just don't like level 5. Level 3 and 4 are still good, but my favourite is just level 2.
But hey, this is just about personal taste and I can't really expect every character in every game to cater to what I like.
I'm working on it. I've got a logo started for a company name. It's going to be called "Outbreak games". This is an incomplete sketch of it; in the final version roots will break out of the circle and spell, "Outbreak."
I will! Gimmie your shekels, anon!
Jokes aside I also want to show you all something cool - the backgrounds. They're at the ink stage. They change each day just like the characters do.
This is the living room. There's five pics, I'll post 'em all so you can see how they change over time.
This one is labeled 3 because there are no changes to this room on day two.
As the girls are brainwashed the environment will become progressively lewder. This isn't ordered and won't even be commented on in the game itself; it's just a background feature.
It has been a favorite of mine for a long time. These stories are a big inspiration for the game.
And of course Pan's Limits series.
Pan is working on this game with me as a co-writer. When I eventually put out the demo you'll see a lot of his influence on it.
Mindwipe is flat out the best person to work with on character designs on my team. He does amazing concept work and he's really creative.
>It has been a favorite of mine for a long time.
Personally I enjoy a less over the top, more contained style, both for the art and for the story, but it's still a good inspiration to follow.
A good way to put it is that I like it to be subtly over the top. The visual aspects are very up-front and obvious, but the changes to the characters themselves are very subtle, gradual, and logical. I like it when you have difficulty telling when things transitioned from normal to lewd to sex wonderland.
Well, it looks like you have a pretty firm grasp on what you are going to do, which is nice. I can't wait to play the game.
Will you release it all at once when it's finished, or put it out piece by piece like Overwhored?
>Ah, that's what you were referring to. I thought you were referring to 4chan attacking Lilithsoft or something.
No, I figured that the death of several hundred thousand civilians would be worse than anything that 4chan could manage.
>Some reporter slept with a game dev or something and /v/ overreacted?
It would be better explained in 1000 pages but yes, a game dev whore herself out for a few good reviews and /v/ took it as proof that gaming journalism is corrupted and that all women are whores.
They had some good ones at one point, now they don't finish them. Little Slave Lost, Bodywerks, Rough Landing 2, Slave Project: DS etc.
Games are a lot of work though, and doing big projects (even using RAGS and manipped photos) for no pay is not easy. Few people finish a game even with pay because it's hard work. Hell, even major studios can fold because games go into development hell. Duke Nukem Forever, anyone?
What movie? If you want mind control porn I suggest the classic, "She Did What He Wanted". Old but still really hot. Unfortunately the final reel is lost to time but the first 2/3rds of it is great.
I'll release a demo in a month or two once I have enough color assets. I have a proof of concept demo for $20 donors. I keep it at that level because it's just sketch-tier and five minutes long; I don't want a bunch of people to see that and judge the game by it. People that donate that much are more likely to have a little faith.
Also I had no idea what to offer people at the $20 level.
Once the demo is out I'll release a version every time a day's worth of content is completed.
I dunno anon, the internet is serious business. Think of all the Chinese gold farmers that go hungry every day!
Please, for the love of the Overmind don't start it.
>Why would that even matter? Maybe it's because I'm from /a/ so I don't understand, but over there, anime reviewers are literally the least respected people in the community. Why would /v/ care?
I don't know, I guess they once trusted them and then got angry after they realized they were selling revies.
shit, don't remember, I think I just googled the error the game was throwing at me and got the link pretty quick
also have "rpg maker xp" and "rpg maker xp ace "installed so that may also be of help
I also experienced this bug but I can't seem to unlcok the barracks anymore. I just beat Ilmatar but there's still a blank sign and the way to the barracks is blocked off. Is there some sort of missable/avoidable person I need to talk to to unlock them or is it just a bug?
No it makes them cucks
See because a german citizen can be a furry in his own private life and no one would know
But the fact that this general and the people in it saw that people were posting stuff about a furry game and no one reported or said anything means that this general allows furry and as such you are all partly responsible for it
If you saw a person getting killed and you did nothing to help are you innocent of the crime?
>If you saw a person getting killed and you did nothing to help are you innocent of the crime?
Yes. The person who committed the crime is guilty.
Did everyone in New York cause 9/11 just because they saw it happen?
You're getting this wrong
It's about "cause"
If someone who was there on 9/11 saw a fellow man in need of help then he would help the fellow man if he did not can you say he was innocent?
Whoever does not render assistance during accidents or common danger or need, although it is required and can be expected of him under the circumstances and, especially, is possible without substantial danger to himself and without violation of other important duties, shall be punished with imprisonment for not more than one year or a fine.
You're shifting goalposts. Your original question was if other one person saw another person being killed by an undisclosed third party. That third party holds 100% of the guilt, not the witness.
You're going to have to provide a citation for that. Either way, there is no "accident or common danger or need" occurring in this thread.
You want me to say no
It really depends on the picture
If he has a lizard dick then yes
If he has a human dick then no
And technically it would be scaly
BTW I said that to really trigger you
If tropic was actually a black midget I would be sooooo happy
You just made me imagine an unironic thread condemning the use of the word "faggot" and most of /pol/ agreeing.
I'm not seeing one on either his HentaiFoundry or Tumblr. And he didn't even do a separate promo image for it on HentaiFoundry like he did before it's just in the description of http://www.hentai-foundry.com/pictures/user/SunsetRiders7/410148/Rogue-Lust-Powerslave-Page-14
In the western video game industry, reviewers have a substantial amount of control over what gets successful, meaning they have control over devs. This is waning now, and part of the gamergate fiasco was how the journalists refused to acknowledge that something shady was done and went full damage control as their authority was slipping away from them.
I haven't gotten very far into this version, but the Vault is in the game now, so you can rewatch scenes, that's the main thing I've found, also some bug fixes for things that used to lock it up
Reviewers don't have that much control on an individual level. Really it's the other way around, since developers decide which reviewers get early access to their games, and that early access is necessary to drive views. Now in aggregate, high review scores do drive sales, but one or two bad reviews aren't likely to do much, and if a reviewer does give an unusually negative review they might get blacklisted for future games.
How do you trigger the Joker heist to get Harley again? I skipped through all dialogue since I've played the game before and have unlocked pretty much everything (except for Zatanna, Vixen and Stargirl, when I choose a villain to capture them the game freezes) but Joker hasn't shown up to unlock the STAR Labs heist.
I've visited the Legion Headquarters plenty of times, but only the initial scene with Joker and Harley was shown.
You need to make her Dance for you until you unlock the Massage option. The handjob is a few massages in. After you've received a handjob, you unlock the ability to remove Roulette's costume.
I don't know what's necessary to unlock the Dance option, but I fully upgraded Glamor Slam, gave her 30k several times, and used her Talk option until the "Nothing here yet" prompt.
The game autosaves after every scene. Hitting ESC to bring up the menu works for me.
Never mind, started a new save and unlocked Harley. I think I upgraded Legion Headquarters before Joker was supposed to give me the STAR Labs heist, and that's what caused it to never trigger.
