The only reason magic looks so cool in this series is because Kamachi made literally almost every single esper besides a handful of them completely useless so now everybody only cares about magic characters but it's a catch 22 because all the magic characters have almost no character development and are fully addicted to Kamijou's cock for no other reason other than the plot calls for it and all anybody really wants to see is somebody like Saten or Uiharu get actual power and kick butt.

If you like kuroko you should read the novels because her original characterization was butchered by the railgun manga, index anime, and by extension the railgun anime.

The index anime cut out over 90 pages over her just messing around with mikoto, including a wrestling match in the shower (which didn't include kuroko getting electrocuted), the underwear shopping but with way more dialogue that was cut out (also without any of kuroko getting electrocuted), and a significantly different attitute towards kuroko from mikoto (they actually acted like friends for some reason instead of kuroko trying to molest her and mikoto looking at her like walking trash 24/7).
