The style is interesting but that novelty could wear off real fast after an episode or three. For the most part honestly, it feels like a westernized version of Ninja Slayer except without Trigger's ironic janky animation. And by Ninja Slayer I mean how it was a story about how a westerner sees Japanese culture written by Japanese men pretending to be Western authors --- except in reverse and by Stan Lee.

My thoughts pretty much exactly. It has potential, but this episode wasn't cohesive at all. I like the aesthetic and it had some cool shot framing, but the pacing's off, and that sluggish CAL Arts-student-tier animation is pretty unforgivable.

Fingers crossed for it to improve; I'm not ready to write it off yet.

I think Nagahama really only works well for atmospheric slow-paced shit like Mushishi and to a lesser extent Aku no Potato and even then that show pushed it hard with the long-droning walks. When I first saw this I expected some really hyperactive animation with the comicbook style not whatever this was.

I really like the aesthetics and the scene direction.
The silent moments and lingering scenes were really good to my taste.
I loved the news report too, the communication difficulties made it feel authentic.

The ending clip was creative too imo. Using real actors/dancers for the silhouette was kinda cool. Also suggests that the four girls from the start will be important layer on.

Did Marvel ever do crossover stuff with Stan Lee's anime projects like Ultimo or Heroman? Some fun stuff could have maybe come out of it? I rather liked the first episode of this show, can't wait to see more. Animation was a bit slow and awkward at times, but it didn't ruin the show for me or anything.

I can't watch this show, the art style is a neat concept but the animation/character design/literally everything else makes it painful to watch
