I'm getting mad for people shitting on Selesia while praising the garbage, as if she could've done better.

Here's a tip from the Newtype magazine. When asked who's his favorite character, he said it would be difficult to pick, but he opted for Altair who he said the one who carried the story. The 2nd in place is that garbage due to her motherly nature.
I'm also confused when Hiroe said the first three characters he created was Souta, Meteora, and the villain Altair. Yes, Hiroe said Altair is the villain. Other characters were added later. Looks like he forgot he drew Selesia with the garbage and one character with the headphone.

From what I see right now, Hiroe/Aoki needed a scapegoat to lose in the battles to show how weak the good guys are. Hiroe can not use the garbage as it would not make sense for someone like the garbage to have a big mouth after got beaten in battles over and over.

If this were an actual game or she were the only character in the story she would probably have a more detailed skillsets.
It's a limitation of the author's capacity to juggle details for so many characters from different systems. If they fleshed out the characters more they would have to invent such details for each character.

Dunno why you would assume that they're male-only in any RPG setting. Even in medieval times there were jobs occupied by women. They were legally subordinate to either the husband or the owner, but that does not categorically exclude them from jobs.
