That doesn't even make sense since nobody knew Cranberry was doing her tests the way she was at the time that she was doing them (other than Melville I think?). Daisy being a known Child of Cranberry could've only occurred after Cranberry's death at the end of Unmarked. I believe there's one year between Unmarked and Restart and I don't think there's any evidence to suggest that these events are occurring within that time period.

Firstly, you have to consider the randomised nature of the powers of the MGs. Daisy lucked out. Others were less lucky and others are just tragic. What this means is, they already are giving their best. It's just that they can't match what Daisy does because they don't have her ability.

Secondly, envy is very dangerous. Some talented people have been destroyed because they were ignorant of the envy they aroused within others. You're a member of society, living in reality. Your actions have consequences. What's the point in giving your very best if after five years or so, the envy becomes unbearable and the people you're meant to be working with "carelessly" allow you to befall an "unfortunate accident"? Envy is something which the talented have to manage. It's a PR skill.

Well alright. The impression I've had this whole time is that Mages were at the bottom of the hierarchy. Yes, Mages can learn any power but they're also very weak. So the hierarchy would be Sages > MGs > Mages. After reading Breakdown's first chapter however (which I assume has a reliable translation as it wasn't done by TL-kun), it seems the Mages do have some kind of aristocracy amongst themselves so perhaps that had at least some accuracy.

In general, the Mages are weaker than MGs when it comes to their bodies, but they have a huge body of knowledge and much more resources to draw on. They made all the magic tech the MGs use, for instance, and really powerful Mages (like Lagi from Breakdown 1) can do things like scry into alternate dimensions and so on. Even someone like Mana can go toe to toe with a buffed Pukin for a few seconds when doped up on magical steroids.

MGs are strong individuals, but Mages are an entire society. And the first thing anyone in power does is make sure they continue being in power.

Except that's not true. In real life, talents are generally guided by genetics. The single biggest predictor of IQ is genetics. For Queens Chapter 10, I already saw tons of mistakes in the first paragraph, I can elaborate more of course but they kind of butchered the first few paragraphs and turned a character into an object. Last time I pointed out the whole "dimension" mistake they made, got a paragraph justifying how it meant "dimension" instead of what it actually made. There were other mistranslations in both the Snow White fight[/spoiler] scene and the scene where Pfle reaches the device room all the way to her death scene, there were two-three made up lines in the epilogue.

In comparison to that, Plat's Chapter 10 was actually more accurate. The reason I didn't mention it again is because after I did last time, I was greeted with both aggression and a paragraph trying to justify it. I skimmed through a bit of their Breakdown Chapter 1 and I saw some mistakes in Margarite's scene, but I haven't fully read through it yet.

The Non-Plat Chapter 10's errors are worse than either Chinkanon or Plat's v2s. They're almost on the level with Plat's old v1s. I'm actually surprised no one's brought them up, there's a big one easily spottable by any JP reader in the first 2-3 paragraphs. There's even made-up sentences that I spotted in the epilogue. I'm willing to give examples if anyone asks for more of that, the reason I didn't bring it up before is because of the whole paragraph justification reply thing. I'm normally willing to accept mistakes as mistakes and point it out to people, but if someone reacts to pointing out a mistake with angry ranting, I pretty much give up on trying, I'd rather talk about magical girls.

Cockle is not an object, it's a name, specifically it's the name of an MG, whose magic is literally "entering any gap." 「隙間に入り込む」. In fact, "That girl's magic had entered the gap" makes no sense, as the sentence is 「隙間に入り込む彼女の魔法」, which would better translate as "The girl's gap entering magic".

The start of a long series of mistakes here, because this one mistranslation managed to mess up Pfle's entire mood and intention in later scenes, 「追い詰め」seems easy enough to translate as a "Chase" but after reading what happens later, they completely missed the context of that. Because what it really means is to be "compromised" or "cornered". You'll see what I mean here.
