Check out the movie. It's not one of the best, but the three shorter ones are cute and the pumpkin/doll ones were pretty good. The All Stars for Go Princess was actually kind of nice as well, at least being a bit different from most of the rest.

I'd recommend Heartcatch if you are looking for another Precure season and enjoyed Go Princess.

Generally? Heartcatch. But everyone has their favorite, and being the mainstream leader means it draws a lot of fire.

I personally think GoPri is a much better example of what Precure is about, though. And there are seasons that are more that, and others that do something quite different, for better or for worse.

The best season?

That's open to a whole lot of debate, even if you ignore the frequent shitposting. I'd say Heartcatch because I'm all about those character development arcs, and while Go Princess was more consistent with showing development for everyone, I still have to say that I like Tsubomi's story even despite the problems that series did have. Heartcatch giving the background characters some personality also made the whole think more likeable. (Go Princess did this to an extent as well.)

Other people have recommended Smile, mainly due to the wacky silliness of the series that doesn't even try to excuse it. I've seen people recommending DokiDoki, and I'd guess that they enjoyed the Mana/Regina relationship drama for that one. Fresh never left a good impression with me, but someone people seem to champion that one as well. I'll let them give a reason for that, though.

I can say that Futari Wa Pretty Cure, and Splash Star, at least stand out as their own thing (most later series have a distinct Sailor Moon and generic magical girl themes) and so they're worth at least watching for that.

But few years ago, Heartcatch was considered the best one, but mostly because it was the first one for many. I recently watched it and I wouldn't call it the best, but it is the one of the most solid seasons alongside GoPri and Smile.
Personally, I like Fresh the most, but it has a lot of QUALITY.

Gelato>Custard>Chocolate>Whip=Macaron.
Gelato is best one by far, one of the best ones we have seen on the whole franchise.
Custard is high tier, very good animation and creativity.
Chocolate is a mixed bag. The concept is great and it should look amazing, but it ends up looking unsettling because of the animation. It still is high tier and looks great though, just unpolished. Also, those moves at the end are fantastic.
Not much to say about Whip and Macaron, both have decent animation but they are too static all around. There is not much movement around.

Aw, that's nice. It's true, I don't use pretty fonts for the titles, I've personally never liked the way it clutters the title card backgrounds, so I think of it as subtitling the reading rather than translating the title like a sign.

That's a good match for the font, though. I think you could argue for putting in a shadow so that it matches even closer. I think you'd need to double up to get the thin shadow on the lettering as well as the fat, larger shadow though. There's also a weird white shine on the pink. Is there a way to do that in Aegisub?

Whip's is cute, even if the storyboard is a little weird at times. It's vanilla, but gets the job done like most Pink's transformations. I like when she lands on the cake.

I like Custard's a lot. It's fluid and formulaic, almost as if she's following instructions from a manual and does the best job of "making" her outfit from the sweet thingie inside of the pact. It's probably why it feels so formulaic.

Gelato's is objectively the best animated and flashy but it does the worst job of incorporating the sweets pact so I honestly don't like it that much because of that. Hers is basically the opposite of Custard's.

Macaron's is okay, I don't dislike it, it just feels like there wasn't much going on and never really peaks.

Chocolat's has a lot of ambition and concept-wise it's my favorite but the animation is awkward sometimes. My favorite until Parfait inevitably shows up everyone's transformation.

Suite movie is pretty good.
It fits very well with the rest of the series and is full of good Mephisto moments.
I really like the idea of Ako's mom being corrupted right after her dad was purified.
Overall, it was second best expirience I had with /pc/ movie, but I guess watching it right after "Muse joins the team" episode really helped.
