Hunter x Hunter and Trust and Betrayal are masterpieces. Been meaning to watch Chevalier as well, apparently heavily inspired by Rose of Versailles? Certainly not my favourite director but he's made some classics for sure.

My favourite is Space Dandy by far but yeah I love Watanabe. Wasn't too hot on Terror though.

I love Rie Matsumoto. Her frenetic energizing directing style brings so much life to the worlds she presents. Though she's only done two series so far (Kekkai Sensen, Kyousou Giga) but they are superb efforts. Also her use of quick cuts is something i see very few directors these days doing. This technique is especially effective for comedic scenes, which is why i tend to find the comedic scenes hilarious in her series.

I'm liking Thunderbolt so far but I wouldn't really say I can compare it to Unicorn. The first "Episode" of Unicorn alone is almost as long as Thunderbolt will be once completed.
