>you will never fall for a eunuch's pity-party and completely overlook the fact that he almost murdered you and your family over promise you made him when you were 10
Thank based Bernkastel.

>Every night, I can feel Ange's legs... and her arms... even her fingers. The body she lost... the family I've lost... won't stop hurting... It's like they're all still there. You feel it, too, don't you?
>>137951125
>get to episode 5
>find out the endings suck
>stop right there
dodged a bullet

It's funny that every time I see this image I imagine someone picking the trick ending for episode 8.
I'm pretty sure magic was ryukishis way of telling us different interpretations of the world, you can go through life believing in good or you can over analyze realize it sucks and let yourself be mired in the fact it sucks.
It becomes blaring obvious when the final question is literally just a child's magic trick and its asking you if its really magic or a trick. If you accept that its magic, Ange maintains hope and has a better outlook on life and actually ends up happier for it. The flipside is the trick ending means she becomes mired in never believing in anything except herself and what can be proven as truth, forcing her to be alone.

I don't get it
Between 'It was Magic' and 'It was Yasu' I'll take Magic any day
>>137951125
Battler was angry toward Beato because of fictionnal murders and Angel's first death was because of Lambda and Bern. Not that anyone really ever dies in the meta, except the 4th bunny.
>>137951125
>/a/
>not /jp/
>>137951829
Fine.
>>137952686
Episode 7 is metal as fuck though.
Umineko is trash.
Magic exists.
The Yasu explanation is completely nonsensical and retarded.and I don't want Beato to be Yasu
Besides we're shown that Magic exists outside the gameboard and the metaworld too.
>>137951125
Well, Battler understood the world more and more.
And true his family died, but everytime they did, they just come back alive to die again.
Battler just became aware how fucking meta the world is with anger and sorrow amounting to nothing in the end.
I'd rather have it be magic than a crazy tranny with DID.
>>137954411
This. So much this.
I have no idea how people can go through so much magic spoon feeding and not realise this.
Every time I see the "I'd rather give up completely than believe a tranny did it" rationale I imagine whoever wrote that to be either someone who never read the whole thing or someone who watched the anime, then jumped into Chiru immediately as if that was even comparable to reading the first part VN. Or someone who went into the series already knowing everything from threads and read it only to be able to complain better about it.
I know there's tastes and all, but I can't imagine anyone going through all 8 books and feeling nothing for the characters, feeling nothing from the story, and not being swayed one inch by the climaxes of every chapter.

>I know there's tastes and all, but I can't imagine anyone going through all 8 books and feeling nothing for the characters, feeling nothing from the story, and not being swayed one inch by the climaxes of every chapter.
Of course I felt something for the characters. They were pretty much all horrible people as well as legitimate retards and they deserved to die.
>>137962008
>He didn't play episode 7
Fuck off
So I read somewhere this was supposed to end after episode 6, but fans were too retarded to understand the ending so he made 2 more. Is this true?
>>137962343
What kind of stupid site were you reading?
>>137961907
Fuck off, I was reading the VNs long before the anime even aired.
>>137962728
/a/
>>137962761
So you can read moonrunes?
>>137963217
Then it was probably some assblasted reader who got mad he couldn't understand the book, so he had to rationalize some reason to hate it.
>>137963423
Each chapter was translated only a few months after they came out in Japan.
>>137960258
>Besides we're shown that Magic exists outside the gameboard and the metaworld too.
That's just Ange's delusions bruh.
>>137960258
>Magic exist
That's just Ange and Tohya being a Chuuni.
>Erika will never bully you
;_;
>>137951125
Of course we will.
I want the hours of my life I spent reading Umineko.
>>137954411
>is forced to give up her inheritance to an evil bitch trying to kill her and lives the rest of her life in mediocrity and loneliness
>better than figuring out the truth, getting rid of her adversaries and enjoying the rest of her life as a detective travelling around the world
The magic end was depressing as fuck, while the trick end was hopeful and resolved Ange's story as it was presented in EP3-4 a lot better. Just compare the ending songs of the two.
So basically blind escapism vs cynical realism, what a shitty novel. Did Niso write it?
Did Battler died?
>>137969744
He stopped thinking after getting mind broken by Beatoriche's magical benis
>>137951125
Posting best Seacat.
>>137962343
Higurashi had 8 episodes, so it was pretty much a given from the start that umineko would too.
>>137961907
Fuck off, Bern, Erika, and truth-searching Ange are the best characters in the series and the only reasons to read Chiru.
Trick ending is the ending we deserved.
>>137972814
I didn't say that Chiru is bad, what I meant is that there's a bunch of people that watched the anime, then went on to read Chiru as if watching the anime could be a substitution for the VN.
They're the category that makes up most of the "Chiru is shit because it's not a mystery!" bunch.
Trick ending is more fitting of the series, true, but it kind of misses the point in my opinion. You spend Eight books reading about how relentlessly looking for the truth only leads to ruin, and then, in the final moment, when you're pretty much told "Look, this is a bad idea", you go and do exactly that?
I'm not saying it's "False", just that choosing it means you have learned nothing.
>>137951271
Technically she didn't do it, though. Only technically.
I remember after ep 6 people arguing pro and against Shkanontrice.
Good times.
>>137951628
I really hope you didn't do this from memory
Reminder that all the cool kids are in the Jay's thread.
>>137972814
>I didn't say that Chiru is bad,
You didn't but I did.
The trick ending is the one true way.
>>137973623
