You are in charge of making an adaptation of Oyasumi Punpun.
Or is it perfect the way it is?
SAYONARA WA EMOTION
Studio: A-1 Pictures or Madhouse
Preferably A-1 (Boku dake it's being done onthe right way)
Op: Hachi - Mad Head Love (or something like that)
Opcional:
Show the Punpun fucking face at the end
High budget HBO surrealistic live-action with animation (main characters are not actors) mixing in real shots and manga pages. Old Hideaki Anno plus some god tier director in this genre. OST for THAT scene https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDFFHaz9GsY
Voiceless OP with only creepy violins playing as the background gets darker.
Studio doesn't matter to me, but Satoshi must direct.
The op would be some good ol western shoegaze. Not really sure who though
Since it's going to be an adaptation of a finished manga series you are supposed to be consistent or at least try as a publisher/production. Not like any one is interested in doing Pun pun in the first place, so it's just my opinion based of recent adaptations productions.
No studio could match the style, they'd definitely fuck it up like gif related
Wait could PUNPUN work as 3dPd?
Studio: Brains Base
I'm >>137528986 and I didn't actually see >>137528384 before posting my suggestion.
NMH was literally the first thing that came to mind and I've never been on /mu/ and haven't listened to them in years.
They just fit Punpun.
SHAFT on steroids with outsourced talent. Directed by Tatsuya Oishi. No hard suggestion for the OP, but I feel the first episodes with kid PunPun should have a slightly buoyant opening theme, by a children choir maybe, slowly transitioning into a melancholic song.
As much as I would love an anime Asano deliberately designed Punpun in a way so that it could never be adapted through any other medium, and as of 2014 hasn't been approached by anyone. He seemed to be quite pleased when he reported that.
This song is beautiful.
A lot of good OP/ED choices being posted.
Punpun and his family looking different is a must, and I really like that idea. Not so much the 3DPD element though, a semi-realistic design for the rest of the show without resorting to live action or rotoscoping would be great.
Might be my shit taste at play but I actually preferred Aku's anime. Not so much the rotoscoping, that looked dire, but the atmosphere was fantastic.
I suppose with a more realistic style I'm thinking of how characters looked in Lain/Paranoia Agent. It would be cool to have a really cartoonish Punpun solo'd by Yuasa or someone similar be shown alongside them.
This should unironically be first OP, with young punpun
