Knocking is just the art of paralyzing creatures by hitting nerves with darts/needles/fingers/poison/etc. Jirou is the undisputed master of knocking, and he restricts his own overwhelming power by applying knocking on himself. That's how he can be super buff in one scene, then turn into a frail old man the next. Mansam also restricts his power much the same way.

It's been hinted at in all sorts of various ways, humans as ingredients, and another making your cells able to identify and digest things people normally don't eat like termites with wood and shit. Neo being a living being must be a type of food to something, most living beings are host to bacteria that are rather symbiotic or some such.

I was hoping there would be something sealed in that already, like a cutie gourmet demon that could infest Komatsu.

Neo has only eaten despair, the loneliness of being shunned, and he has been taught that the most delicious prey exist in despair.
He has never tasted love, friendship and compassion.
Komatsu will prepare for him the ultimate meal made from pure joy as they all sit together and experience the warmth of eating a meal with friends.
NEO cries as he realizes this is what he has always wanted deep inside, true happiness and freedom.
He then starts glowing as the despair and joy mix inside him releasing all that he has ever eaten as he dies being satisfied.

Are there even rules for that? I sort of lost track of how the whole Nitro/Monster Troll/Appetite Devil/Food Spirit connection worked out.

I understand that Food Spirits are the ghosts of creatures who died with unsatisfied appetites, and Appetite Devils are Food Spirits that are bonded to a living creature in a specific way. But how do the Nitro and the Monster Trolls fit into the equation? I think that the Monster Trolls were these Food Spirits who occasionally popped up to eat everything in sight, then died and waited for everything to regrow before coming back to life... so are the Nitro a species that they like to use as hosts? Are they just a preferred form that the Monster Trolls settled on? Are they something else? We know that non-Monster Troll creatures can leave ghosts, so...

As for how Neo fused with Acacia, I don't know, we can suppose gourmet demons go to sleep into the back channel when they "die" then when the cells that remain in the world find a suitable host they revive inside them. So maybe there were Neo cells among thsoe Acacia was injected/born with.

Honestly think it will end up like a version of Galactus.


One version of Galactus lives until the end of time where the rest of the has universe decayed. He then blows up and expels all the life energy he had been eating from planets triggering a new Big Bang. So none of the Gourmet Energy is really being erased it's just being contained inside Neo and not going back to the real afterlife or soul world. Komatsu feeds Neo to pacify it then Neo lets them eat it like Another and Billion bird. Final land then opens up and I guess Acacia ends up real big bad after all
