Anyone still watching this? I saw that it got a lot of shit and criticism but I think it's pretty entertaining andfun.
The LN isn't half bad either, I'm on volume 7 and my favorite so far is 5.
>>137290552
I picked it up yesterday, it's pretty fun.
>>137290552
As every episode gets a pretty big thread I'd say yes, there are people still watching it.
Everyone is waiting on next ep anon.
>you can die while masturbating
W-why did Quenser say that?
>>137290552
I binge watched the first eleven episodes, but then didn't feel like waiting for episode twelve, so I forgot about it. Once it wraps up I'll probably watch the rest
I couldn't get passed the stupid premise of the "heavy object" after 2eps and moved it into my backlog to probably never finish.
Does it get better/more interesting?
>>137290552
>The LN isn't half bad either, I'm on volume 7 and my favorite so far is 5.
No one gives a fuck about the LN.
If you ain't talking anime/manga, i don't wanna hear you talk.
What is this?
>>137290552
Still watching it, not sure why, it's pretty repetetive, 3 episodes per little story, then onto something completely different.
>>137290880
It stays about the same, but at some point the characters in the show start to realize that the premise is stupid.
Yes, obviously there are going to be special forces and combat engineers being used against objects.
Great characters and dialogue stuck in a horrendous plot.
Balances out nicely.
The main duo is great.
>>137290552
Yes. I only really watch for the Quenther, Havia and Floorladyia though.
>>137291215
>no one gives a fuck about the LN
Kamachi does, and I wonder if he's going to be bitter about how the anime is doing. Also the best charactertop gun loliis only in the LN, so there's that.
>>137290552
>I saw that it got a lot of shit and criticism
Not here.
first cour was meh but the second is great so far.
Westie best girl.
>>137294392
>Westie
Myonri is the cutest though.
>>137295399
U-I-HA-RU
It's not very good and the humor is very bad, but it's still not the worst show in the world
>>137290552
Top-tier show for me.
It's exactly the right strand of "stupid and it knows it" to be entertaining, while also having some believable and awesome solutions RE: Qwenthur and Havia fucking up gigantic god-damned mechs.
I like going into the show knowing that the idiot cop duo of Q-man and H-boy are going to wreck shit, but also knowing that the how and why are going to be entertaining.
As a duo of protagonists Qwenthur and Havia work so well because they're ultimately noble when they need to be, but also because they're equally flawed and gifted in ways which make them not just "generic" protagonists.
As protagonists, they make me want to buy into the suspension of disbelief required to enter their fictional world, and I appreciate that.
>>137295437
>trading her flower headpiece for an ahoge and a rifle
Guess she got tired of academy city.
>>137290880
Essentially it falls into a three-act arc, irregardless of whether the given arc is three episodes:
>Shit goes down
>Havia and Qwenthur have to make shit stop going down
>They stop shit going down, optionally with Hime and Froy helping
The interesting bits are the how and why of acts two and three of the three act play. It's worth watching 'til episode 5 if you want to say you've given it a fair shake: By then, the series has told you what it offers, what it'll be, and you're informed.
If you don't like the first five, you won't like the rest. If you do, you will.
I'm still convinced the whole show is about the dehumanizations of war due to new technologies.
And also Princesses and COs pole dancing.
Loli ohoho needed more screen time.
I only watch it for the idiot duo.
I like that the actions of Havia and Qwenthur are showing people that Objects can be defeated by people and that that could be a bad thing for a lot of people, it's an interesting take on the "heroes overcoming impossible odds" trope. I wish they'd focus more on that side of things.
>>137290552
I'm actually liking it a lot. Mostly for the MCs.
Seems like they have a lot of plot armor, but fuck, they're entertaining enough that I don't really care. I like watching them succeed.
>>137295896
I'll be honest: If they toned down the fanservice almost entirely and made it about the two idiots, I'd like the series even more.
>>137296198
It wouldn't sell though, and the fanservice doesn't feel out of place with the whole tongue in cheek feeling it has.
Unless they wen't with the fujoshi route, which I'm glad they didn't.
>>137290552
>Past volume 6
>favorite isn't 6
Do you even Unicorn?
>>137296731
Unicorn was pretty good, I respect people who would go to those lengths to protect a smile.
But I have fallen in love with top gun loli.
>>137296338
>yfw these two cameos at the end of the series
>yfw Heavy Object was D-movie animu series all along in the Raildex world
>>137297367
>yfw JC Staff intentionally gave it no budget so it would look like a D-movie animu
>>137296338
Wasn't Kinuhata the one who liked it?
>>137297367
It actually is a movie in the raildex world, I think it was NT1 where hamazura watched it.
>>137297701
I don't remember, I just made it for fun. I'll switch it around if that's the case.
>>137297488
I like HO but they better be using that money towards index 3.
>>137296803
Ice Girl is fun and all, but she's not as based as Burning Alpha.
>>137295799
The series basically repeats the same trick for all the arcs, but that trick is really fun and has enough variations that you want to stay to see how our duo will pull it off.
>>137298683
Haven't gotten to that part yet, but I'm ready for the banter.
Kamachi seems to like writing that stuff, if the air battle from index WW3 arc was any indicator. I like how he added those ideas to heavy object.
>>137298790
I like that filename you got there.
>>137295852
>>137295852
yey yey
>>137296338
>>137296198
For me it wasn't so much the fanservice itself so much as the constant dialogue related to fanservice.
>>137295896
I read it for the science. Particle accelerator Object was some cool shit.
>>137290676
>you can die while masturbating
The risk is real
Hime a cute.
>>137301315
Her smile was meant to be protected, but she's pretty obsessed.
>>137301315
You're the only one I live, BabyMagnum.
>>137301518
>incredibly dense towards hime's feelings
>literally tells the object designer that they should fuck not even a minute after meeting her
>>137295852
>>137299078
>reading the LN
>she pops in unexpectedly during some hime scenes, drops her 'Ohohoho!!!" and starts the banter
I smile every time I see it.
>>137290552
> My favourite is volume 5
I just started reading it recently too (volume 10 now), and even though I really do love the duo of Heivia and Quenser, volume 5 is also my favourite. Mariydi is great and it was really refreshing to see the world from another perspective for a whole volume. It's too bad she doesn't get anything outside her volume except that short snippet in her battle against Burning Alpha which seeing her angry was really cute and all. Hoping she'll interact with the two idiots some time in the future as that will be interesting. Volume 11 also just came out today so I'm looking forward to that too.
Princess is still definitely a really close 2nd though, especially after the parts I read in volume 10.
>>137301315
I want her to ride my Mega Magnum
>>137303360
>4ft 7in
>managing to cause all that mayhem and loss of life
What the fuck kind of childhoods do kamachi's lolis have? They're badass trained killers 90% of the time.
>>137301632
Half the time I think both Qwenthur and Havia are pulling a Captain Tylor.
I wonder when they're going to play the OP over the episode, that's my favorite shit.
They did it pretty early last time so I'm guessing it'll come this arc.
>>137303360
HO really needs a spin off about her or Ohoho.
>>137306767
>that loli butt
Ohoho is a miracle of the universe.
