The CGI is not bad, people like talk shit about them because they are not used to watch bad CGI and overall dislikes CGI. The CGI for bubuki is not perfect, but it's pretty fine.

I want to like this in spite of the cgi, but it feels so tedious. The 'bad' guys coddling our useless group of heroes was old before it started.

Everything from scene composition to that awful 10s monologues given while 'fighting' just screams KLK to me. Also, let's not forget THE RAINBOWS OF SHIT JUST GOT REAL (tm) in every character introduction scene.

Problem is the main case that's only made of retarded kids who's sole motivation is "muh bubuki ban" or "muh treasure island". They're probably so accustomed to the buranki being asleep up in the island that they don't really perceive the danger. MC's particular trust that his mother's simply stranded there fighting them off is particularly infuriating. Have some sense of urgency for fuck's sake.
