So,what do you think of this season? Is good or not?
didn't find myself waiting for the next episode of the current airing ones unlike some seasons ago, or probably just getting burned out
this season is good for my dick
I'm really pissed that AoKana is going to flop. Imagine: it doesn't even have a thread up right now even though a new episode is going to air in about thirty minutes.
I'm liking Koukaku no pandora all the way through this season and gate, nothing else feels worth watching. I lost interest in Dagashi, probably because it being made to relate to Japs.
Feels like another boring season desu..
>Dimension W could've been okay if kept with the manga
The manga is pretty shit, especially the current arc. The anime is just worse for rushing shit but don't mean the manga is significantly better.
2- Kono subarashi
Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu is thoroughly great. Erased seems to be getting bad but I hope it picks back up. Grimgar has a lot of problems, but I'm able to see past them pretty easily. Haikyuu!! and Osomatsu-san are pretty consistent. I liked the first episode of Precure. Everything else I either dropped or didn't try.
Way too early to say, especially off of that last episode. Completely abandoned subtlety.
I'm also following around 15 shows, but I certainly wouldn't call all of them good. Maybe a handful.
But there's usually something I like about them (good concept but awkward execution, character design/style, it's only 5 minutes, etc)
Sure,if i include stuff like JK meshi i'm easily over 15 shows too. But i'm not gong to pretend they're good.
Sure, why not?
Like I said, some are leftovers, and I like the less than 10 minute anime, so the number is inflated.
I would really only call Erased, Dimension W, KonoSuba,
and Teekyugood (and I haven't read source material on any of these, so they could all be inferior, dunno), and Lupin is alright.
But stuff like Pandora and Phantom World are enjoyable at least. I don't know why I'm still watching HaruChika.
I haven't tried them, but I have seen plenty of Grimgar threads.
I heard good things about Rakugo's first episode, but not the others. No reason not to try it though. I also haven't watched Active Raid, but I haven't seen any mention of it in this thread.
I'm still playing catch up on this season, since I was gone for most of January. I'll give those a shot.
absolutely nothing stands out. the one thing I can say is that it almost completely met my expectations; i went into the season expecting nothing and got nothing.
KonoSuba is the only fun show I've seen so far.
I'm watching 11 shows but one is a leftover, 3 are shorts, 3 I'm about to drop and none get me particularly psyched about watching a newly released episode. Pretty weak season overall, sasuga winter.
Yeah I exaggerate a little bit, was thinking in pick up Bubuki and Ajin but I just can't stand cgi shit.
Boku Dake (AOTS?)
Sekko Boys (AOTS?)
And i'm loving every single one, except for Dagashi, waiting patiently for the doujins.
whats with the sudden surge of this meme? Seems like every franchise has their own version of it lately.
GATE is probably my new most hated adaptation becasue of all the CG bs, especially the dragon. That and the horrible redesigns, and cutting out big plot moments and some of the political stuff.
Terrible. There's nothing but Konosuba and Teekyuu worth looking at.
-Reina and Friends
-Do Gynoids Dream of Electric Yuri
It's not a great season, but there's a lot of okayish shows.
Even if you don't like it talking about "using interns to reduce the budget" is like the most nonsense thing I've heard all year. It's trashy cause it's supposed to be. Take it or leave it.
You should really give Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu a chance if you have not already. It's not ''fujoshit'' at all if you're not looking to label it as such.
>"using interns to reduce the budget" is like the most nonsense thing I've heard all year
It was an exaggeration. But as an accountant, I can tell you that you would be surprised the amount of shitty companies that do that.
nope, just using my eyeballs
Not that guy, but Phantom World is trashy without being funny or particularly sexy. Konosuba is stupid as hell but that's to comedic ends. Stealing panties and waving them around cackling like a madman is hilarious. Phantom World is just eye-rollingly boring. It's not ecchi enough and it's not funny enough and it's not interesting enough to be worth my time. It looks nice, but there are better looking shows this season.
Well, It's snowed only once and the snow disappeared immediately and the temperature only barely dropped below zero, so no ice and no skating.
1/10 winter, I've rarely seen worse.
Taroumaru Gurashi was like 2 seasons ago
It's not like the ''flashback'' part isn't interesting.
This season is great for shorts. Full time anime, not so much.
This has been a really fun season to watch.
Great shows that I'm excited for every week:
Shows that I was excited for at first but ended up dropping:
The season's been nice so far. Rakugo is my favorite out of all the airing shows. Still have to catch up with Boku Dake, not sure if I want to catch up with Dagashi. Next season's looking pretty good too.
Actually,this pic is the truth.
I mean:do you really think that Musaigen or Luck and logic is good?Really? There are fucking garbage, like Haruchika or Divine Gate. Also,Gate is really pretty good but the manga is more better, and i prefer the manga character designe.Ajin is only fucking cgi but the story is really good.Erased and dimension w are absolutely fantastic, like Shouwa.Sekkou boys aots is probably a troll, but i think is a pretty short.if I wanted to take a pic like that, I would put it in nice
There's literally one good show and it's in its 7th season. The rest is decent at best, nothing that will be remembered even a year from now when faggots are arguing about 2016 AOTY.
>its the best show they've made in over a decade
>Ojisan to Marshmallow is nowhere
>Dagashi is higher than Marshmallow
shit taste is going to get
explodedwithin 4 days
This season is pretty shit overall. There aren't any shows I'm genuinely interested in or watching seriously. And the ones that I am watching are just to get my seasonal ecchi anime fix in.
Template edits are fun. Like that old Eddy one.
Dimension W is consistently impressing me, but the best show by far this season is Rakugo, and there's no contest.
Also, honorable mention goes to black marks for stubbornly insisting on not being shit, surpassing my wildest expectations. Hell, it might even be good. On the other hand, I have absolutely no idea about BokuDake, I have no idea why anyone is even remotely interested in it, there's little at all that stands out about it. I mean, if you've never seen a murder mystery before, but still it makes no sense why anyone even cares about it.
Should definitely give Dimension W a watch if you're liking Active Raid. A little more on the serious side but both are fun, slightly episodic series with some humour and cute girls on the side.
I tend to pick up as much as I can every season. Reikenzan would be green if there were actual subs when it started airing but I put it off and forgot about it. Might watch it in between seasons.
I actually like the literal translation better as a title. "Erased" sounds kinda awkward and almost like some kind of Hollywood blockbuster movie. But the title means something like "The city I left behind" which matches the show's tone and theme better. In addition to being something Kayo-chan says in her essay.
I'm liking it so far. I think what happened was a combination of people being overly dramatic about stories that focus on more than one male character and too many people screaming about how 'gay' it was. That, and /a/ naturally has less threads about series that are mainly about character drama. There's less to talk about.
Schoolgirl Kinoa a best. Fuck black dude for ruining her innocence.
"My mom died and now i am in the past trying to prevent it while also trying to save my crush"
Why not call it something that descriptive?
Cause you're a faggot and cant understand anything
Muv-luv spinoff with characters that aren't from anything that's translated. I'm having fun with it, though I wish there was a little more action. The character drama isn't anything to write home about.
Any news on the future of PP? I heard we might be getting a third season because the movie did quite well. As long as Urobutcher's actually on the team this time I'll be really happy to see another season
>any VN shit
All VNs should be burned to ashes and all its authors should be tortured to death, and anyone that ever talked about them again should get their tongues cutted off.
Mai and Hotaru are the perfect fapbait, which it would be enough to nominate them as girl of the season. But Galko is an actually good and well written character with great traits and more than two dimensions. Once you know her you end up falling for her personality and not only her body, and she's getting better and better each episode. She is also in a good and funny show with content, in this case you could argue that Phantom have some kind of content too, but Galko-chan is more fun.
This season in a nutshell:
Active read is annoying shit
Ajin good story but the cgi is shit
akagami pretty good story for girls
Assassination classroom a good sequel
ao na kanata is shit
Boku dake ga inai machi is a very good story.Probably aots
bubuki buranki same thing of ajin
dagashi kashi is a pretty anime with beatyfull girls.Hotaru is so beutifull
divine gahahahahahahahahahah is so stupid and trash
durarara x2 good arc
Grimgar is overrated shit
haruchika is trash
Kono subarashii sekai shitty anime and absolutely not funny
koukaku no pandora nice
luck e logic shit
Mahoutsukai precure is good
musaigen no phantom world is the same kyoani shit for kyoani faggots of shit
nurse chan r seriusly?
phantasy star 2 shit
prince of stride shit for fujoshi
shoujo tachi wa pretty
shouwa genroku is really fantastic proably aots
Dimension w is really interesting probably aots
Musaigen is Kyoani doing another shitty property they already own
Fuck I get that they just want to make money but why not adapt good things that they already have the rights to at the very least
pretty good. Pandora is surprising in its quality of moeshit. Dagashi is just crap that is totally dependent on character designs to maintain any interest whatsoever. Rakugo is good despite being fujoshit.
>Active read is annoying shit
>haruchika is trash
nice shit taste there, senpai
>No one there that talk of the leftovers like Osomatsu san
the perfect mix, you got me
keep up the good work anon
I'll never understand all this obsession over AOTS and frankly who cares tier bullshit. Why can't people just watch what they like, comment on it and maybe compare shows if they're actually kind of similar. It's such a bullshit nonsense term and distinction at this point to be some random asshole or forum communities "AOTS"
>no sekkou boys
I haven't watched anything this season
What's worth watching? I like moe shit and big breasts
>Kono subarashii sekai shitty anime and absolutely not funny
Die in a fiery explosion
Osomatsu-san remains the best anime, I'm assuming no one's mentioning it because they all know it's redundant to to mention something everyone loves as the thing they like the most
Let him, don't ask him to shit on this show any more.
fair enough, do not throw pearls before swine
Dimension W is that case where the manga is infinitely better, but you watch it anyway for the girl getting animated (it helps that MIra is cute as fuck).
But really, Dimension W is below-average Sci-Fi. I thought the whole thing would be more grounded in high-tech, even Pandora managed to present its sci-fi world better than Dimension W.
It's a shitload of propaganda, Japan being the best at everything. best fighters, most skilled, most kind, selfless and forgiving.
It gets a bit much at time to time but whatever, it's worth watching if you just ignore those things.
Erased and KonoSuba are the only new ones that I'm watching, haven't bothered checking anything else out, except for the first episode of Rakugo which was good. Osomatsu is my only leftover. Anything else that's essential for this season or am I all set?
I must agree that this season of RWBY turned out really nice.
And despite the entry level animatioons the chracters faces show more emotioon than the ones from mainstream anime that use cgi.
Hell I just marathoned Sidooonia and when Tanikaze was sad or raged it was barely any different froom his normal face.
>Best at everything
Against a few fire teams unprepared for a berserker, and people centuries behind Japan.
I'm trying to find legit WW2 style nationalism and political spite, but there's jackshit.
If you want Outbreak Company where pre-industry blacksmithing shits over FUCKING HELICOPTERS, be my guest.
Saying there's jack shit is really pushing it. A few japs take on US, Chinese and Russian special forces teams at the same time and beat the shit out of them before they're forced to back off. The americans were saying that Force Recon has never sustained casualties like that before in that scene, they don't manage to kill a single SDF soldier.
Also the japanese soldiers kick everyones asses even without shooting using bayonet or hand to hand.
Every single time they cook something in the other world they go apeshit about how amazing japanese food is, they bring over some jewels, pottery, swords etc and the otherworlders cream their pants about how amazing japanese craftsmen are.
There's a lot of that going on, but it's not worse than any other anime i guess.
>A disadvantageous fight where only the US troops actually collide in an extended battle.
Nigga, I'd be the first one for Japan to get its ass kicked in open field combat, but that wasn't it.
The US had more than a 1000 to 1 death ratio in the Middle East as is, why would Romans who would be considered manlets to even the Japanese get a on-screen kill?
>they go apeshit about how amazing japanese food is, they bring over some jewels, pottery, swords etc and the otherworlders cream their pants about how amazing japanese craftsmen are.
What part of centuries ahead do you not understand? Even Eastern Europe would be an absolute mindfuck for them.
Mahou Shoujo Nante Mou
Lots of decent stuff, only a couple genuinely good ones. It's better than last season, at least.
