Is 2016 the year Hunter x Hunter returns?
>being gone for 60% of your manga
Togashi should have the name officially changed to Hiatus x Hiatus, since it's quite literally more hiatus than anything else.
Only a couple of weeks and it'll be the second longest hiatus yet
Gon will get it back. You cannot just emit zero nen if you redo training and take some in yourself
Humans are alive, they will naturally release aura and therefore will be able to learn nen under the right training
Gon's the main character and it's common sense he will get it back one way or another
I don't care if his retard father says he cannot do it
>Pika would be the "main" character wouldn't he?
He's ONE of the main characters.
Jesus christ I thought even animefags read the 9 DC chapters.
what is this page supposed to mean, it fucking tells you right there that he could feel his son's aura
Gon just has to get past that mental block he set himself when he made the hulk pledge
nice comeback faggot, why don't you actually prove that Gon wont get his nen back?
The debate is open to either possibility but we wont know any time soon because the author will never finish Dark Continent.
I wouldn't put it past him, and then you would all play mental gymnastics to yourselves and find reasons why that does not betray the pledge/nen system he created
So much potential in HxH universe. it'd be nice to have a time skip so Gon gets a pass to the new continent.
>then he can learn nen
>manga states that he can't
>manga also states several times that never being able to use nen again is one of the conditions
>but no he will learn it again i know it because of my headcanon
You should go back to reading bleach
Wow what a convincing argument, you sure proved me wrong there anon.
I believe his father said he was a normal person again, the implication was not that he should just go home and retire.
Him flushing it all down the toilet was pre- nanika, she created a miracle, for her Brother.
She can do things that break the rules.
He was going to fucking die no matter what before she intervened.
>his father said he was a normal person again
He just said his aura was coming out fine and that he couldn't use it anymore, not that he was "normal" again.
>the implication was not that he should just go home and retire
It literally was, he said that he should consider himself lucky to be alive at all and shouldn't ask for more.
>I wouldn't put it past him, and then you would all play mental gymnastics to yourselves and find reasons why that does not betray the pledge/nen system he created
You sound awfully upset to me anon, did someone claim HxH was better than your favorite shonen or something? That'd explain you being so bent on hoping Gon gets his nen back.
you know what else was stated, Alluka having negative feedback to her wishes which was broken by Killua who can make any requests he wants with no drawbacks as long as he treats her right and doesn't exploit her
manga states so much shit which can be countered easily at Togashi's discretion if he fucking feels like it. And the world of nen is fucking flexible, Kite was reincarnated into a fucking ant. Gon's the main character and I woudn't put it past Togashi to give him some sort of powers back.
also reintroducing Alluka into the picture, we can have her remove the effects of the pledge. Like you are all so convinced that Gon wont be able to get his powers back because you all think Togashi is the best writers who would never resort to that
>being this mad
Kite being reincarnated has nothing to do with nen you fucking retard, ants having human memories have been a thing since Colt.
Also Killua and Gon have cut bridges, and as you stated above Killua can't just abuse Nanika.
There's nothing even suggesting Gon wants his nen back. Take your butthurt somewhere else.
>not that he was "normal" again.
Not him, but here, have Viz translations. He literally says twice that he's gone back to normal.
>It literally was, he said that he should consider himself lucky to be alive at all and shouldn't ask for more.
He's just saying that having gone back to normal is plenty after nearly dying, if he actually wants to get his Nen back he's going to have to work for it. Also he doesn't tell him to retire, just to take a break and think about this things he can and wants to do. (Next page)
>Kite being reincarnated has nothing to do with nen you fucking retard
Except Kaito's brain was never fed to the Queen as far as we know, and Ging himself stated Kaito has an ability that allows him to surpass death.
everyone is just hell bent on the rules of the manga being so strict and wont allow any freedom of speculation on a manga that's already flexible
Kaito coming back not cause of the queen eating his brain, but because it was the power of his weapon
Alluka having no backlash if Killua makes a wish
Alluka even being a thing to bring back Gon when even a nen exorcist couldn't exorsies the pledge
These are just one of the many things, you will all find a reason to excuse. I'm not saying it's bad
I'm not even butthurt, I just acknowledge that's it's shonen manga that is susceptible to a few minor aspulls as long as it gets the story going and introduces as a plot device for other arcs (Alluka and the Dark Continent and other possible Zoldyck arcs))
>Kite being reincarnated has nothing to do with nen you fucking retard
It's like you missed the part where Gon's dad said it was one of his abilities. This is just an example I mean by mental gymnastics. You only believe what you want to believe and don't allow yourself to think outside the box, surprising that you missed such a big detail like the controversy of Kaito's reincarnation.
>hence why i put main character in quotations.
Those chapters have been out for nearly a year and a half already, fuck off.
>HxH was always gon story.
>Kaito coming back not cause of the queen eating his brain, but because it was the power of his weapon
Again, see above. Pitou had literally no reason to not feed his brain to the Queen and Ging stated that what he said wasn't entirely reliable.
>Alluka having no backlash if Killua makes a wish
This was something you could have figured out from the start just like Illumi did. Alluka also was just introduced so this wasn't breaking any established rules.
>Alluka even being a thing to bring back Gon when even a nen exorcist couldn't exorsies the pledge
If anything this is a good thing as Togashi could just as easily have written the exorcist to be able to heal Gon, the fact that he went out of his way to show it wasn't possible shows the whole thing was a way to introduce Nanika.
you don't think gon is the main character of the manga? follows him and his story the most. then killua, then pika, then a distant last leorio. with the DC arc coming clearly pika will be the "main" character of that arc.
with whats currently happening with Gon I'm curious if he'd ever return again. yeah he can show up and do fun stuff with the characters but i doubt he'll be fighting again.
>There's nothing even suggesting Gon wants his nen back.
It's in his character to be a hunter and pursue nen to make him stronger so he could explore the world more efficiently
Both translations imply that's he's back to normal anyways. His dad's just being a prick telling his son to drop the towel and enjoy life nenless
>with the DC arc coming clearly pika will be the "main" character of that arc.
I think him and Leorio will be central, mostly Kurapika because of the eyes but Leorio is getting hands on training with dog lady president to become a better doctor which is what his dream's all about anyways so it ties in perfectly in a continent where the survival rate is extremely low.
>wanting killua as main
I'd rather watch Ging
both those reasons are speculating and it will never be explicitly stated because it doesn't fucking matter anymore since both reasons end with the same result. One reason is just more bullshit than the other
Killua has one of the worst personalities of the series and isn't half as good of a character as Gon. Leorio also could use some development so it's a good thing he's central now.
Why? The reason YYH had such a shit ending is because Togashi couldn't do what he wanted with the series so he just wanted to get it over with. The situation with HxH is pretty much the opposite.
>I don't think you have a good grasp on his character because he never showed much interest in any of those things.
>wanting to catch up to Hisoka in Heaven's Arena so he pursuded strength
>wanting to beat the game of Greed Island so we go through another training arc with Biscuit
Even if power is not his incentive like Netero, training and nen were always his ways to achieve the goals he wanted
you have to have power in the world of Hunter x Hunter to survive, and be cunning enough to not get taken advantage of
And are you fucking blind, I just gave two main examples. I never said power was Gon's main reason, but he needs it if he wants to pursue adventuring as a Hunter without getting killed.
I rather see him being a nenless Hunter that survives on wit like the very beginning of the series and it would add so much development to it but I don't feel like it would end up being that way
I'll eat all my words if Togashi decides to make Gon a nenless wild card survivalist for the rest of the manga
>hxh is the only shonen i know without any plot conveniences
when pika going to kill all the phantom troupe members?
The problem is that Gon does not seek power in itself, power is just the means to achieve his goals as you said. Whether Gon will try to regain his Nen or not will depend on what he wants to do now that he's back to normal.
If he says he's had enough with finding his dad, he'll stay in Whale Island and live a normal life.
If he finds something else to do in the outside world,
like his promised fight with Hisoka, he'll need strength to follow that path.
The only way Naruto could be good is if Togashi wrote it himself.
found the page
Both reasons are plausible
Did he really promise that to Hisoka? I'm not even sure Hisoka said that aloud.
I'm more concerned with Gyro, if he's just a regular soldier ant then it makes sense for Gon not to have his powers when he meets him to be an interesting antagonist.
>Did he really promise that to Hisoka?
Not explicitly, but Hisoka did say tell him this and Gon obviously sees him as future goal.
True about Gyro. A Nen-less Gon interacting with a Nen-less Gyro could possibly be something great. If we look at Pariston and learn from that, he trolled everyone in the Election and we still haven't seen a bit of his abilities, proving an antagonist doesn't even need to use Nen to be interesting.
Unless you're willing to argue that she went in through his nose, his brain obviously wasn't removed.
Could have been from the nose, the back of the head, somehow through one of those scars, could also have been an oversight but Pitou would have no reason not to feed it to the queen especially since at this point she was pretty close to giving birth to the king.
Even if we go with Meruem's words, it's still unclear.
This one rare prey could be either Pokkle or Kaito, if it's Kaito then we have to assume Pokkle wasn't even that good of a meal, almost equal to a normal human.
>Killuafags finally accepting that Kurapika is superior in every way
I hope when the DC arc comes around pariston takes pika out for suit shopping.
here are the runes if you or someone wants to decipher it
I'm looking forward to their interactions
This thread is retarded on both sides, why would Gon NOT get his nen back eventually? The loss of nen is a new point of conflict that needs to be resolved. That doesn't mean it will be a story ruining asspull that shits all over the nen system, it just means Togashi will have to write a good storyline for it. Fuckups are meant to be fixed in an ongoing story, and without nen Gon would have no place in the series by the end.
>"On", being another side of the coin of Nen,
Gon won't go to the DC. The main characters will be Kurapika, Leorio and Ging.
>doesn't want pika or leorio as lead
The curbstomb, why the hell would Killua feel afraid of the dumb rabbit if he had to power to just OHK him? The whole point of the needle was to protect Killua from potential THREATS. Not to mention they even built up the ridiculous overpowered nature of even the normal antmen infused with nen (the phantom troupe even has a bit of trouble with a couple of them.) I don't care if Killua won the fight, that's a given, but making it a one shot kill was just lazy especially since he'd even spent time building up Rammot's potential power.
That's fine for an occasional arc but it would make the story too unbalanced to change the MC after so long. Togashi takes risks but not to that extent, it would make the start of the series feel pointless.
would togashi ever make a fun crossover manga series where HxH and YYH meet each other and have a tournament or something?
Right, even though Kurapika was the main protagonist of Yorkshin City Arc. But no one watched that shit amirite?
But soldier ants always were shit and Killua could easily have dispatched him, the fact that he was doing it to prove to himself that he wouldn't abandon Gon down the line is what made him unable to move at first.
Maybe as an extra chapter or something.
why does the clown want to molest gon?
Which version of him hit you so hard?
99, start 2011 at greed island
I really hate this Knuckles and Shoot part I'm at.
Why are we watching them train again to kill some fucking nobodies, God damn it was getting so good with the cat slut being born.
>hating anything with knuckles in it
Knuckle's fights with Gon are some of the best in the series though
Leorio invested his money in a diamond ring so it seems that he's pretty optimistic on this score.
Maybe he's already betrothed with some boring normalfag girl.
>80% mastery in transmutation
>now add emperor time
She'll meet the devil in the dark continent, who ends her misery
love emperor time
> Not filtering Lelouch
I understand that but i can't deal with Lelouch's shit taste and slow pace. We started watching this show at the same time and he still hasn't finished it, also he never replies to people, he's not interested in havinga conversation with us, he just posts his shit and leaves like an asshole. Fuck him and fuck you for feeding him and his ego.
I'm not even betting on his last chain to be some ultimate secret weapon. He'll find ways to fuck every member up regardless
yes cause people have to cut hair off for a scalping,he was already dead so that precautionary measure of shaving his head wasnt necessary.
all one needs do is hold it up when doing this, and we couldnt see if there were scars cause of the long ass hair
Why fucking bother holding his hair up? The contrived shit you autists spout to defend your dumb headcanons continuously amazes me.
HxH has tons of YYH (and occasional Sailor Moon) Easter eggs. YFW the dark continent is revealed to just be demon world. Togashi is so lazy he'd just end HxH exactly the same way he ended YYH
...yyh didn't end bad. if HxH got a happy end like YYH i'd be satisfied. means Pika will finally come to terms with his past like Kurama, Killua will learn to be the loving brother Hiei wasn't, Leorio will be Kuwabara and not show up, and Gon will fight for everyone losing but winning in the long run after we find out Ging married a demon and gon gets demon powers to make him relevant in the fighting of HxH
I didn't say YYH ended bad. I'm saying Togashi could take the easy way out and just end it all with a tournament to wrap up all the loose ends in a single arc rather than dragging this out for another decade.
Didn't Togashi say that Kuroro is his favorite hxh character? I have a feeling that following his sympathies, he could not allow Kurapika to succeed in revenge. Or even retcon the whole Ryodan's participation in massacre.
>hxh is the only shonen i know without any plot conveniences
