We're all pretty
/ai/- Idle Activites.. Some of us are just better at hiding it, that's all.
I have a dream. A dream that one day this thread will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all girls are created
/ai/ - Idle Activities."
>Sophie's so great
I don't like these eyes, it's like the eyes Sophie and Shion had before joining Hibiki.
Okay, next time please check the image before posting. You should sort your folder between lewds and not!lewds.
I want Aikatsu to focus on other things besides dresses. I know that the anime is basically a commercial for the card game, which uses cards for dresses. But I want them to focus on dance, songs and music. I mean a performance isn't just what the idle is wearing.
Yeah, they should, PR pulled the part of the songs nicely.
Does any company make one where Ichigo hold an axe?
Sena's so short. I mean isn't Akari like 153 cm? And he's what? A head taller than her. That makes him 168 I think.
The background girls are pretty cute.
>Now I understand that no amount of hard work can defeat talent
That was pretty depressing.
You see them train their singing and dancing, but you can't train a dress. That's why they put the lessons in the background or just mention them, but for the one thing they can't do alone they need to justify it. Plus, the entire movie is about Ichigo's own song. Everyone else's apparently come from the magic music generator that creates songs perfectly suited to whatever's going on in their lives at the time.
And have you forgotten? To idols, cards are life itself.
Good luck, and don't let the job get you down.
Good job as always, Dorothy.
But really, this whole arc is still running strong. Especially with Hibiki being so forward with her goals and willing to meet and explain herself, there's no sense of a fruitless fight like with the Falulu debacle. This episode Kyupikon was Kyupikon, Mega-nee had a great live, and there was real, relatable despair. Mirei is such a good character and so interesting to watch.
And I totally forgot to say I like the new OP and ED as well. Especially since with the ED
they did the whole playing early lead-in thing. It works very well as a dramatic start that closes the episode in a great way. I always love when it happens.
It was great to see Mirei slowly breaking more and more in the episode, and at the end she had some kind of mental breakdown for the responsability about all that's happening, also Hibiki's so traumatized with Ajimi that when Mirei and Lala show up she began to panic.
I like the OP more, it has cute details like Hibiki being the only one without a mic in one of the first scenes.
>what were sunrise thinks of teaching to little girl
So after 44 was translated I prepared v0 encodes for DMF 44-51 and I've been watching them as they complete (for the most part DMF isn't that difficult to watch raw).
By the way, I'm putting the encodes up on Mega for fansubbing but people can watch them too (there's still some severe banding issues all around which will take ages to fix probably, but whatever).
Also 51 contains staff commentary for those that want to listen to it.
I had some stuff written up that didn't fit the character limit so I'll see if I can shorten that or split it up.
Juri what are you doing?
But I forgive you because you're hot and I love you.
Quiero comer tacos y hacer mestizos con Juri.
How to be the MC, whoever cuts down the tree gets to be the MC next time.
I want to fuck Lala.
Okay, I won't tell you.
I even downloaded the episode to take screenshots even though I'm behind.
I think the fever appeal is activated when the idle's aura expends then disappear. I don't know if you guys noticed but that's exactly what happened here with Sumire, and it also happened in Akari's stage in the latest episode.
It keeps giving me an error when I try to post the second one for some reason.
Congratulations, anon, you've received your PriTicket. Your little girl brain has finally been recognized by the higher powers as an authentic little girl. You proudly make your way into PriPara as little girls make way for you, not knowing what to do about some guy who looks to be almost 30 enters their sacred sanctum.
Once you go through the door you see her. The most beautiful woman you'll ever meet. The perfect lady. An unsullied miracle of modern technology, Meganee-san. She smiles at you and signals you to proceed to be scanned in order to be fit for proper PriPara clothing. After staring at her screen a few minutes, she whispers, "I think we'll find better clothes for you in the back room."
You follow her to the back room, where she proceeds to undress. You start undressing yourself, but she reaches her hand to yours and starts doing it herself. She rubs her warm body against yours, pushing you against a pile of fluffy cloth. She turns you around and starts slowly massaging your back.
Then you feel something penetrate you hard. You turn your head in time to see her face melting off into something else, something manlier. You try to resist, but it's futile. Your own skin is melting into the cloth you were laying on. He thrusts his cock back and forth as you feel your own balls and cock absorbed into your stomach. You start feeling smaller and less manly every minute. Meganee's body becomes stronger, more muscular, less curvy, she/he has stolen your very manhood.
You finally free yourself and look up at the newly born Meganii. "Welcome to PriPara, anon, please have a nice day."
You get out of the room, which seems way larger than it seemed before, but it's okay because you're in PriPara, you can fly here. Your newly shrunk, stumpy, androgynous body isn't that suitable for clothes or dancing, you realize. But it's okay, there's a place for you. You can still enjoy the show, in fact, you can still be part of the show.
You float as high as possible and cheerfully shout at the top of your lungs, "HELLO-anon! Anyone looking for a manager-anon?"
That's such a Sunrise like philosophy somehow. Even when it's idol anime everything is somehow still about guts and glory.
"I'll uncover the mystery behind disappearing idles!"
All idol anime is actually about courage and guts, it's just in the format of something girly and cute instead of battle shounen at least until Macross Delta comes out.
No pain no gain
Are we back to eyeless abominations?
I dunno, nothing ever feels like it's on the line or there are any high stakes in idol shows. In shounen they often literally fight to the death or for honor or redemption but in idol anime it's all "It doesn't matter who wins as long as we have fun and try our best!" Even in characters lose, nothing changes except for maybe a five minute crying scene but then it's all better the next episode.
You have to understand what high stakes are for in-universe, of course the meaning of "high stake" is gonna be different from a shonen with death battles to a cooking show for example, and when it comes to that, PR was pretty good at high stake stuff and what happens if you lose.
Before tackling any other things in your post, I'd like to ask if anything that isn't life or death matters to you, or if you just take issue with that specific comparison. Because most things in life are not do or die, but they still have a major affect on you personally.
But that's the thing: they don't have a major effect. In Aikatsu somebody loses a competition but their popularity never wavers and they're totally fine with it after the whole "it was kuyashii but" speech.
Otome was the first to run off and get a second Premium on her own, and that determination led to her becoming Queen.
Ran would have lived years miserably with Tristar, and that's from winning something.
Ichigo went to America.
Aoi, after losing the Queen Cup and giving up the competition against Seira, was one of the last to get her Constellation Dress.
Ichigo, and this was after winning, held a greater concert than Mizuki to take top idol.
Akari bettered herself when she lost to Sumire in the one day manager position.
Hinaki overcame her fears after losing to enter the Aikatsu8, which for that matter Aoi and Ran had done previously after S2.
The list goes on and on. You can't be depressed forever, but even when they face hardship and loss the girls try their best, so you have to really pay attention to catch the few times their weaknesses show through.
Because they don't stop. It's honestly difficult to pinpoint anyone who loses and quits besides, say, Ran's old roommate, because that isn't what the show's about. It's telling you that even if you lose, you can overcome it and come back stronger. Johnny even mentioned last episode that Akari was perhaps the weakest and most troubled idol for nearly half a year when she first came, and now look at her. That's because she never stopped, never gave up. You aren't going to see an idol who doesn't make that choice in Aikatsu.
And that's the thing, they have the opportunity to keep going. Nothing is ever do or die, make it or break it. Not that that's a bad thing, but that's what I mean by there being no high stakes.
I suppose one "issue" that neither of us can talk about are what lies in the girls' futures. We have exactly one (perhaps two) examples of Starlight graduates and what they do after. Mizuki besides being a successful current idol also has her own brand, knows how to run a school and training, and can raise new idols. Ran's senior, the previous Spicy Ageha muse, is still modeling. Other than them we've never seen anyone leave school yet. So what exactly is high stakes? Their futures? Without knowing what advantages or disadvantages come from winning or losing all their competitions we can't speculate about that. That's why what we consider high stakes in Aikatsu are their years in Starlight. They have exactly three chances to become Starlight Queen (for just one example). Become Queen, and you will be remembered forever. Fail and you'll have a harder chance being immortalized. Every single try counts when you've only got three strikes.
I like Akari's habit of kissing the cards for luck before a performance.
It shows her gratitude for being lucky enough to have a designer working for her.
>meganee finally gets to perform
>it's the inferior version
>Suzukawa goes to the beach and gets to see all these cuties in bikini
I'm jealous. ;_;
>Juri and Sumire's sister
I never knew I wanted this.
The Akari gen family members need to show up more. It seemed like they were around all the time near the start of the season.
She uses the exact same voice too.
>Hikami Residence, Sumire's room
>Sumire-chan's room smells nice... (I can't sleep)
>(Intentionally left space for someone else)
>Juri-chan, you're so warm
>Dio mio! (Dios mio = なんてこと)
>Disappointed I'm not Sumire? (Is that what you said?)
Muchas gracias, つまり thanks.
It would be nice to have more of the families. I really liked the episode where Juri stayed over at Akari's for new years. I was kind of hoping there might be something similar this year, like Akari going to Juri's and meeting her mom, but I guess not.
>twintails and megane akari
She just needs a bit of fluff on that hair to be perfect.
Screw the /ai/ suicide pact, I wanna die in Kii's hair.
Right, I had written some stuff that I won't post except for maybe this attempt to answer the question some anon posted like 2 years ago wondering whether Yun-su was autistic or not.
Spoilered because it might contain spoiler-like things I guess.
I remember to this day that I'd give my opinion on it after I had rewatched the show, but sadly it was over such an extended period of time that I haven't gotten a clear answer yet.
He certainly has aspects of it, but that's the same for everyone and it's generally only if you're really suffering from them that it's actually diagnosed.
I'll have to give it more thought as I watch more of DMF while maybe paying more attention to it.
If anything Shou might be more autistic in his inability to deal with his love for Aira and how he ends up hurting her and himself in the process, something I'm a bit more familiar with than I'd like.
Mirei is for unconditionally loving and becoming her house husband.
Risappe's pretty cute.
She will, and will have a performance like all living idles do.
>Mikuru appears in the OP
>confirmed to return
>Dreacas also appear in the OP
>no word about them until at most eight episodes left to the midseason finale
I suppose Mikuru takes precedence due to being a no-show in S3 outside the movie, but it still hurts.
What's wrong with no pants?
That song was fucking awesome.
Great, I don't have to wait that much.
Does Sena make dresses for other idles or does Akari pretty much hold her own monopoly on Dreamy Crown dresses?
I want Yurika-sama to suck my milk.
Jersey Sumire is fine too.
Yay Yurika-sama again.
Going by Akari's comment, he drew her as the model on every single page of his sketchbook. Make of that what you will.
I must be the only one that likes Yurika-sama more in this form.
What a huge forehead, I like it.
Tsubaki is so silly.
It didn't worked though.
It doesn't bother me at all, in fact, it's quite the honor to be admired by such a perfect lady.
I don't understand at all.
me too, mate.
What's this feeling?
I'm catching up on Pripara just to watch Meganee's performance. It better be worth it.
The same thing she's going to do with this fist.
I want to slap Otome's butt and mess up her writing.
How come there's billions of Meganees but there can't be more than one Meganii?
ONE TWO THREE FOUR FIVE SIX SEVEN EIGHT
THE STRONGEST IN THE WORLD
THE MIGHTIEST IN THE UNIVERSE
THE BRAVEST OF THE ALL THE IDLES
/ai/ idle activities
>giant castle amusement park
>everyone gets a personal meganee
I can't tell who the bad guy is anymore.
I wish they had made Hibiki just a little more reasonable, it would have made her a better antagonist.
The entire conflict is too one sided now, because Hibiki is clearly in the wrong with disallowing everyone under a certain rank to perform.
It's like the writers went out of their way to make Hibiki as stupid as possible right after celepara was established.
How is this even possible?
I thought Aikatsu was a fanservice-free show aimed at little girls not like Love Live and Idolmaster which sexualise little girls for the male gaze ™.
So I was finally listening to this week's episode of Kakuma AI Oonishi Saori Can Choume Can Banchi and in typically absurd fashion the weekly challenge corner was talking to a 5 year old. Their favourite anime? Pripara, Pokémon, and Aikatsu. Their favourite Pripara? Mirei.
Of course there is probably some inherent otaku bias in there by relation, but it's just the weirdest thing to suddenly be hearing.
>Their favourite Pripara? Mirei.
I wonder what she thought about yesterday's episode.
No no, Hibiki just doesn't want Lala and her team to perform, but you can always rank up in another country and then come back, of course is one sided anon, Hibiki was always in the right.
I want to steal Shion's puppets, dress them up like Meganee, and produce concerts for them so that the Kamiya family will finally have a provider.
>implying Shion has a family
I want to push Otome into a fountain full of skittles and tell her to feel the rainbow.
Haven't seen ranflakes in this thread yet, we need to try harder, people.
I'll post my lewdest non lewds.
Mikuru's miracles are a miracle of the universe.
If Mirei being mindbroken was the price we had to pay for a Meganee performance, I'm glad we paid it.
Mirei should've dropped the Puri slut act a long time ago. I expected her to go real Mirei idol on that episode, but that fucking subservient asshole had to screw it up. What's his problem, he can't deal with a strong independent Mirei?
I was gonna make the argument that PriPara already has enough cute girls acting annoyingly cute, but I realized most of the characters are pretty bad at being one dimensional girly girls. Reona is the only perfect cute girl with her only personality flaw being that she plays along with Doroshii's nonsense.
When will CHOCOLATE ON THE POTATO CHIP return
How popular is Spiderman in Japan? I've seen references and ripoffs of his abilities in all sorts of anime.
Would you accep it?
Anyone have more like these?
My shipment of little girl stuff came in today! I'm so excited.
Super shoujo style Johnny.
I'm not sure, I haven't bought one before. I've only ever bought Ciao and Pucchigumi because they have Aikatsu and Pripara stuff. I wanted to try to branch out to other fields of little girl study.
Johnny Beppu is so moe.
>All this Beautiful Blade bullshit
Her utter failure at Tristar proves she never had a strong persona and is nothing without muh AoiChigo
Kill it with IED
Everyone a cute in the manga. I wish my japanese was better that I could fully read these. Everything is so damn adorable.
Incidentally they were also talking about finally watching the NanaSis Live on Christmas Eve. Still beat me by a week and a bit... It was pretty amusing the effort they made to get them and Inori Minase beside each other in lineups.
A blade can cut nothing on its own.
She's the MC of one of the Aikatsu manga, and just a sidle in the anime. She showed up a few episodes ago.
>It's an extracurricular lesson in grape picking, yeah!!
>(Oops) Remember to be careful and not get hurt, honeys!
>You're professionals If you were to get injured and have to cancel a job
>your trust and reputation would suffer!
>So don't get too excited, yeah!
>Johnny-sensei, you're the most excited one here...
>Akari-chan, you look pretty excited yourself (especially that bag...)
Karaoke on the bus
>First singer, Hinaki!
>This is so awesome, doing karaoke with only idols!
>Caliente! In other words, hot!
>I can still keep it up
>Hinaki-chan, that's some nice Aikatsu even though we're on a bus
For a snack...
>I brought these newly released chocolates. What about you, Sumire-chan?
>Even though we're going grape picking?!
>When I went to buy snacks at the grocery store, they looked so good... (So I just...) (blush)
>You... can't buy those for under 500 yen, can you
>(Snacks are 500 yen or less!)
>That's the part you care about?!
Let's pick grapes
>Alright, let's get started picking grapes
>Be gentle and grab one bunch at a time...
>Vamos!! In other words, <let's go>!!
>She's riding the winds of flamenco while picking grapes...?!
>It looks like he forgot his lunche
>Johnny-sensei ordered them for all of us though...
>I'll share some of mine with you
>Thank you, honeys. I love y...
>[White rice paradise]
>I wish I had salt, at least
Are these your scans?
Yes, they're from Ciao and Aikatsu Fever Feb 2016.
Miyabi a cute.
The characters are weak. But I think the art is good (not the CG though), along with the songs. And S2 was fun enough.
I'll be watching the movie and Sunshine, but I wouldn't go out of my way to rewatch anything.
Kotori is the only good girl in Love Live. The rest are complete shit.
Assuming she exists on a low calorie diet of tomato juice and garlic ramen, I'd say not a lot.
I want Mirei to go full Gloria now.
Now I'm even more confused about how Comedy Mirei's hair works.
Nah, Nina calculates her stuff, like Mirei, Ajimi's just plain nuts.
I miss Serenon.
Can we trade Doujima Nina for Doujima Nanako? They're basically the same name, Nanako's cute and already has practice being an idol, and she's not a lying faker.
I would be surprised at this, if it wasn't by the fact I'm so used to it thanks to PP.
That's a pretty good idea anon.
Why would you want to trade our glorious rainbow goddess for that plain haired slut?
I should've known that filthy corpse was to blame for implying Nina isn't good enough for Aikatsu.
This oldman has good taste.
Wrong Yu anon, but now that you said it, they look kinda similar.
Spanish lesson with Nina.
That's an actually pretty good fate.
I wonder what would happen if KinPri becomes a show.
It would probably be wonderful and I would probably love it.
Also it won't happen unless maybe this first movie is enough of a success to fund the second one and that is also enough of a success for them to even begin considering a cour of gay prism idol shenanigans.
I want Nina to use me as a prop in a degrading and humiliating comedy routine.
I think I might be fine with maximum big friend pandering and silliness like Pripara even though I know how most PR fans feel. If it turns into a mini Love Live I'm getting the helium tank.
Well for what I have read the movie had some scenes with the PR girls, that it's enough to make me smile.
When you think about it, making KinPri a show it's actually a nice idea because in greentext mode
>Little girls and big friends like PR
>The younger girls and big friends watch PP
>The older girls and big friends watch KinPri
In that way T-T get's all the audiences, and of course there will be people that watch both shows.
