Come on /a/. You know you liked it than any other anime when it aired, and you are still enjoying the LN's.
This. Charlotte was great with how everything came together for the end. /a/ couldn't appreciate the ending as much because they were too focused on just one episode and not the series as a whole.
I haven't enjoyed anything ever since I realized 10 years ago in an epiphany how childish enjoyment is. I am a mature adult now. I have left enjoyment behind me along with so many other things that are below a rational man.
I didn't expect aztec batman mystery from the first episode but looking back it really is quite the fun show.
When it was airing nearly every thread was very negative and threads the were positive were saying
>rokka no sales
I liked it enough(after Overlord got me into LNs)to read through all the translated parts.
The feeling is a lot like Bantorra with less characters. I like it.
That's not Gatchaman, that's not Ushio to Tora, that's not Shirayukihime, that's not Overlord, that's not Non Non Biyori, that's not Symphogay, that's not Working
But yeah whatever AOTS amirite
>I didn't expect aztec batman mystery
What were you expecting Anon? Science vs Saints?
Bunny just made me angry after the reveal. I thought she was attractive but her personality just got worse and it only gets even worse as the novels continue. I wanted her to die so bad.
Her relationship with Goldof is pretty hilarious though after you understand the full extent of what both of them think of each other.
I didn't know shit at that point I was expecting a slightly off center demon king generic adventure plot. I don't think until episode three did I realize something was off, and I didn't know it was by the bantorra guy until the season was over.
Anon, Nashetania was made for the sole purpose of cucking Goldof and to get you somebody to hate next to up tight Mora.
She has noble intentions though.
The mystery, it was just not interesting or good. They spent far too long time on far too little and kept going for another 3~ episodes even after any not-braindead viewer should have figured the mystery out.
the 'mystery' was impossible to solve in the first place
it only gets worse as the story goes on
basically no one knows how the fuck things work so they are all trying to kill each other very quickly because everything makes everyone very suspicious then no one gets cleared but since no one dies their fucking stuck
It was obvious as fuck that the fake had to be the bunny as it didn't make sense for it to be anyone else. When they were finally about to do the reveal i was expecting it to not be bunny because there was NO way they had spent this long on something that painfully obvious and then they revealed it and i just realized that either the author himself or the person directing the anime is a fucking retard writing mysteries for people who don't care about mysteries but just want waifubait to fap to.
> not also including bland characters interactions
> dumbass logic due to pride or some shit
> obvious faults in setting and world building
> pacing issues
> focusing on some shitty side characters we don't give a fuck about and how they have very little influence in the story.
Please anons. Pic related.
I really liked watching this with everyone. Hans best boy.
The manga's awesome, you should read it. Definitely outshines the show, but both are good.
> 6 episodes in and I'm thinking, "I swear if I see that dog one more time..."
> gritty atmosphere that was to be present in the manga ruined by the fucking dog.
I dropped it early on. Bunny and the Saint of Mounds weren't enough to keep my interest.
If Hans were female, her and Adlet would have fucked by the end of book 2.
And it would have been great. Except maybe for all the scratches across Ad-kun's back.
>detailed character interactions and development
>closed room mystery
>threads with anons were the best
AOTY easily last year.
Not that anon but Bunny legitimately tried to kill Adlet in episode 2 and just laughed it off. Was then left alone to fight a hord which she had been playing incompetent and just manages to kill all of them with no effort
The reveal did nothing and was just a waste of 8 episodes
>Kills sister made me sad
>Mc starts to go on a downwards spiral
>Almost to the breaking point and heroine stops mc from ruining life with drugs
>Mc starts working on getting better and does
>Anime proceeds to shit on the last few episodes and your emotional investment into the series by deus ex machina time travel bullshit.
>Only one episode
It sold like complete crap if that's what you mean, both at home and abroad.
The author should've stuck with Aztec adventure in stopping aztec demon god and removed mystery. Still have betrayal.
Or just made it an Overlord or One Punch Man with Adlet. Rokka All Sales
>Legend says, when the Evil God awakens from the deepest of darkness, the god of fate will summon Six Braves and grant them with the power to save the world.
>Adlet, who claims to be the strongest on the face of this earth, is chosen as one of the “Brave Six Flowers,” and sets out on a battle to prevent the resurrection of the Evil God. However, it turns out that there are Seven Braves who gathered at the promised land...
>The Seven Braves notice there must be one enemy among themselves, and feelings of suspicion toward each other spreads throughout the group, with Adlet being the one who gets suspected first and foremost.
>Thus begins an overwhelming fantasy adventure that brings upon mystery after mystery!
Just because you were too stupid to read the synopsis before watching doesn't make it a bait and switch. Hell, the LN literally shows Nashetania trying to kill Adlet in the fucking prologue.
Its a shame it sold like shit, I quite enjoyed it so probably we wont get a 2nd season
I respect him for what he's trying to do. I love that we've got so many different angles tearing at the assumptions of video game plots, poking at what made them so engaging to us in the first place, between this and the trapped-in-an-MMO genre and things like Maoyuu and Yuushibu.
Bunny is still best girl. Though that's not saying much considering her competition.
I really should finish Charlotte. Stopped after the whole "stabbing people and being the ultimate edgelord and shit is cool but if you snort that coke you can no longer be human" episode.
>Bantorra got 26 episodes
2009 is like another planet.
From what I heard they keep getting into new mysteries and the Demon King is like a month, a day away from coming back to life.
I want to impregnate the Evil Bunny.
Phlegmy a shit
There are 3 picture dramas with short stories written by the author:
1. Nashetania - the day she had to flee the castle because her father wanted to execute her
2. Fremy - When she arrives in a village (where she later met Adlet) and meets a girl that was left behind as bait for Kyouma.
3. Adlet - something about him kidnapping some girl so he could fight a strong guy for his training.
>flee the castle
Heretic dozzu scum
I'd love to see it, but if you've read the untranslated volumes can you answer some questions?
I've seen a rough summary for it somewhere, but a part of it was unclear:
Adlet is the seventh so what's the deal with his seal and how did Tgurneu create it? Apparently Tgurneu's other ability is the 'Power of Love' thing, how exactly does it work and how or when did he make Adlet fall in love with Fremy? Do the novels ever give more information on the Majin, Flower Saint and the seals after volume 4? I know Bunny and Doge were using that info as bargaining chips, but did they reveal anything else?
I think I have an idea, ok.
Basically the seventh crest is a system that already existed, Tgurneu just took advantage of that. It isn't yet known what is the purpose of that except something vague I'll get to later.
Hmm, I don't remember the fine details all that well, but it went something like this.
Tgurneu stalked boy Adlet during his training in a sneaky Kyouma form and started affecting him (I'm pretty sure it was a long process). Basically he not only made Adlet fall in love but also gave him the concept of "love" itself, because during that time he was a revenge focused brat and Atro's worst student. I think he made him dream about Fremy or something like that and got that image stuck in his brain along with "love". Like that he could understand Atro's lessons and fight to protect instead of fight to destroy.
Bunny and doge didn't reveal anything else IIRC, but we did get some small info on the Flower Saint and Majin. First they're affectionate of each other, and basically the Majin claims the seventh crest was made for her sake and that it would somehow "save" her. It's a part of the epilogue, I'll post it again in a minute.
One more thing:
Were there any more cases of Tgurneu using his 'Power of Love' or was it just with Adlet? Also if you have a brief summary or translation for the part where he falls out of love after Tgurneu is defeated and how that changes his relationship with Fremy that'd be splendid.
Adlet & the Maijin die. Mora returns home along with Chamot. Hans gets his gold and continue service as a traveling assassin. Bunny lives in regret as an idiot and Goldof is forever cuck'd still. Fremmy is traveling the land and Cowtits is just being cowtits.
Did people really enjoy this? I enjoy my close door mysteries, but only when I don't know from the 2nd episode who the culprit is and the characters aren't just retarded, prevent the plot from progressing. Sure it creates tension, when everybody suspects the other. But all characters felt way to 1 dimensional to really care about. And the ending returning to status quo is not what I'd call a good pay off.
Honestly really disappointed with recent mystery animes like perfect insider or sakurako. All have like 1 fun character and the rest is a mix of bad writing and annoying characters.
> 1 dimensional
ok here's the problem. We didn't get much of a perspective since the anime adapted one volume. But I will tell you that they are not one note my friend. Also it wasn't exactly obvious since there were clues but extremely difficult to solve. Process of elimination and things do progress in actuality as we find out more and more secrets that have an impact later on.
>And the ending returning to status quo is not what I'd call a good pay off.
Pretty much. I actually was enjoying the show quite a lot. As said, it was a nice little twist to take what seemed like a standard fantasy adventure and instead made it a fantasy mystery.
But then the last episode ends with yet ANOTHER ROUND of 'wait, why's there an extra person' that rather than make me curios enough to read the LN, it just made me feel like a waste of time.
Hmm okay fair enough. Maybe I should get into the source material, but the Anime really wasn't complicated for me to figure out, since I expected these kinds of character arcs. Calling them 1 dimensional was wrong. But they certainly didn't made them to exciting in the Anime. The royal body guard with his 2 lines of exposition as an example.
>start this expecting fun fantasy adventure
>shit starts out good
>qt princess and shit
>few episodes in
>who dunit mystery starts
>mfw 5 episodes later they are still at the fucking pyramid
...so should I just quit watching this shit now?
>The royal body guard with his 2 lines of exposition as an example.
Having read the LN part that features him it really is two lines. They go into great detail but basically murder mckill had a desire to protect one day and he's still following that feeling.
He's just ridiculous in a lot of way during that volume. Bunny is outright trying to kill him along with demons and whatnot and he doesn't even waver in thinking he's still going to protect her after she outright stated she's against him.
It gets even weirder when she reveals to everyone the truth about Dozzu and her and he's still 'nope still gonna protect you' and she takes that as 'well you'll help me in my mission right?' and he's just 'nah your mission sucks I like the protecting you part though'
Yes, but I don't recall we got any details. Dozzu talks about people Tgurneu controlled in the part of vol 5 already translated.
So, I went for some of Tgurneu's backstory.
Unfortunately I don't have time right now so I skipped a lot (especially the second skip since I really wanted to fit in the last lines)
Adlet should have fucked Hans anyway.
Out of all the roles Aoi had last year, Fremy is easily my favorite.
My guess is that it's not specifically about Adlet but the possessor of the seventh crest, basically Tgurneu accidently gave Adlet another role or something like that.
There were definitely misunderstandings about the history though.
Personally I thought it was a nice surprise after going in knowing nothing. I'd take mystery and intrigue over generic fantasy heroes fighting interchangeable monsters any day.
Her Clementine was pretty damn spot on too.
You know, this is kind of random, but I absolutely love how many people never realized that her bunny ears were a headband to this day.
I mean in her very first appearance she didn't bother wearing them; did they think she was hiding it away in her hair or something?
Oh, and also for any novel readers out there. I haven't read it in a long time, but does Adlet still have a massive hate boner for her?
I always thought they may be able to reconcile, but some after reading spoilers for some of the later stuff that doesn't seem like it'll actually happen.
Before she tried to kill him again.
Fremy is my best girl of 2015,
I wish S2 would happen because the story gets better just after S1.
Shitty paint OC coming through.
