Scarlet Nova Dragon was made by Jack sealing an ancient Demon into a blank card and infusing it with the power of his Ace. 4kids entirely removed the guns and people looked like chuuni retards threatening people with their fingers. Pegasus was also having his hand randomly in the hair instead of holding a glass of wine. Not sure how that scene turned out to be.

And 'space energy' refers to the waves of gentle darkness, the power that - in the beginning - clashed with the light of destruction, overcame it, and formed the universe & all life. Kaiba sends Judai's designs for the neo-spacian cards into space, which come into contact with the waves of gentle darkness and are given life (become real cards). On the other hand, the Yubel card comes into contact with the light of destruction, twisting her mind, and giving us the undisputed best yugioh antagonist.
