I don't really think Big Mom and Kaidou are going to be fought separately in the same vein as the warlords, where we're just going down a checklist.
I have a feeling the Strawhats conflicts with the two will be an ongoing story throughout most of the new world, with the two subplots overlapping here and there.

Even if the Straw Hats do head to the wedding and Law splits up with them for a bit it doesn't mean Kaidou's stuff will be sidelined. His crew is also looking for Caesar so they can salvage their SMILE production.

My expectations fur Burgess were way higher to be honest senpai.

Diamante was hyped though, considering he was introduced holding the mera mera and the one chosen for the coliseum. The more I think about it, Diamante suffered from having a good fight simply because of the huge amount of other side characters and mini stories within the Dressrosa arc, one or two more chapters dedicated to his skills would have been fight and he wouldn't be portrayed as weak.

For example, Oda handled Trebol well with him sniping the fly, chasing Robin fast and throwing a ship into the tower, that shows the reader you shouldn't fuck with him. That didn't really happen with Diamante other than his powerful sword slashes and wacky devil fruit. Though later Trebol seemed to be way much weaker against Luffy and Law so that was also a bit inconsistent.

He shot him the leg and made him fall over, grazed him a few times with his blade, parried and blocked a bunch of his attacks since most of the fight was off panel, and rained a shower of iron balls on him. It was a tough fight for Kyros, he was bleeding all over, exhausted and couldn't fight anyone else (he was helpless when Pica when he suddenly showed up, when Doflamingo he shot Bullet String at Law and Robin) even though he wanted to.

Actually when Kyros showed up he sliced Diamante, made him bleed and fall on the field. Overall it was a two-shot at best., but this is usually how sword combat goes. Most of Zoro's opponents (Mr. 1, Ohm and Ryuuma) fall to the first sword strike that connects with their flesh body.
