Whats even the end game for the series? Whats even the point of half the cast like the choco-man loli?

I just don't see where we are even going anymore, like is the series going to end with Kudelia arriving at earth and giving a speech about not exploiting colonies and Mars for the rich to the rich? Is the entire point of the series that Gallahorn are dicks? I would assume the other militaries are just as corrupt and shitty.
