Is this the greatest attack to appear in a Mecha show?
Cheesy as hell but none the less awesome for it.
>watch this scene on Youtube (or any scene of this attack in a video game)
>lol its the burger king!!!!!
Not so much anymore but it used to get a lot of shit for being a super robot Anime and not really having anything to do with Gundam besides the name. Now people can appreciate for the dumb fun that it is and there are a lot of worse AU shows now.
the greatest attacks in a mecha show are when kyoshin gorg snapped that crab things leg off and clubbed it to death with it
every time he picked something up he beat the fuck out of everything it was hilarious
>Normal people think G Gundam is great.
And G fans are ignoramuses blinded by nostalgia or their own idiocy. See that? Cut that shit out.
I found the show mediocre, which still makes it better than most Gundam entries.
You can just say Giant. Even in the show is uses Giant in text
>one of the most unpopular Gundam series
>ever getting a BD
0083 and 0080 will be the next and last ones to get the treatment.
G is fairly popular these days. Sunrise loves to reference it stuff, and even Tomino did in Turn A.
But Victory? Shit no one liked Victory. Late UC in general seems to be devoid of popularity in Japan.
Still I agree, 0083 SHOULD get the BD treatment next with how good the animation was to begin with.
>tfw you'll never have a girl to do the Love Love Tenkyoken with
>DBZ with robots
>worth anything at all
>G is fairly popular these days
No it isn't
>Sunrise loves to reference it stuff
The thing that referenced it most of all (both spiritually and visually) was Try. And look how popular that was.
Except DBZ was poorly directed and lacked any impact. G Gundam might have poor animation/pacing but it was on point where it counted and knew exactly what it was. The final fight with master Asia was way more hype than anything from DBZ.
Erupting Brning Shuffle Alliance Attack was pretty good, you have Domon's little speech about the planet being the highest form of life and then the way the music kicks in when everyone does the Erupting burning Finger and there's an animation that quickly cycles through all them embers of the alliance.
But alas, power of love > power of friendship.
The episodic stories were pretty nice, anything about the Devil Gundam, Domon and Rain was a gigantic mess of asspulls that only serve to milk drama and slow everything down to a drag.
That's about right. The characters were certainly memorable.
Actually he genuinely does dislike Victory and tried more than once to sabotage the show, and for a very good reason
Sunrise seemed determined to fuck over his creative control of the show at every turn, which is why we got stuff like episode 4 airing before episode 1, because "you can't have the Gundam not appear for 3 episodes". The late 80s-early 90s marked the beginning of directors becoming little more than the guy who brings to life the executive producer's vision.
I love G Gundam, but come on dude
Start with 0079. Then watch the rest of UC and then the AU series.
