Less than 10 hours until HAPPENING
Seems like it yeah.
Going by this, I imagine the next two episodes will be the lab. Haku regaining his memories and explanation by emperor, declare war on tuskuru and probably hit tuskuru shores around 18/19
Why is Kuon so hateful of Oshutoru? I thought they were cool.
Bullshit, she talks on and on about how important her friends are and how they are her first. Haku is a very small part of Kuon's overall life.
Haku should rip off their clothes and have his way with their supple bodies. The best semen demons this season.
She was under emotional duress.
She didn't even pack anything, she just wandered off. Cut her some slack, her husband died.
As if dissecting godzilla's wife wasn't enough. Next they spend 500 years stealing his powers and adding it to their genetically engineered servant race.
Looks like we're getting this next week, they're changing the events again.
Are these psychics or something that saw the archers?
How strong fucking are they?
Why do they even need soldiers with guys like these?
Why did he attack Haku? Is he just really dumb or something?
So is it getting rushed now or what?
TOGETHER WE WILL GO OUR WAY
TOGETHER WE WILL LEAVE SOMEDAY
Did he just cut a fucking mountain?
Though in hindsight, light beams. I guess that is his mask's secondary power.
So he decides the best place for his daughter is the front of a battlefield?
They have the updated version:
"To be unconquerable lies within you. To be conquerable lies within your enemy. Unless either of you have super Godzilla people in your camp, then shit goes bananas."
It really doesn't so much like a war so much as 6 people vs. thousands.
I feel like the first one did war a lot better.
>Multiple multiple angle shots
This turns out to be a comedic end result for the episode.
Its because they overdid the mask powers. In the game Munechika still needed her soldiers. She just made a barrier and her spear infantry then just advanced behind it and, well, poked everything dead.
Only Burai is shown strong enough to kill thousands without soldier backup.
There is. He told the generals, before going to war, that the prisoners are no longer people of Yamato since they are supposed to be invincible.
If he gets to a town which got occupied, he simply declares it unworthy and every person in it, thus needing to be cleansed
Because they didnt have godzillas at their beck and call.
Frankly, the Uzurussia war is also really quick in the game and simply serves to illustrate what Yamato has going into war with tuskuru.
It'll be interesting in the next game
because we have Haku as an inexperienced mask person, vurai is gone, Munechika might be captured by tuskuru.
So the only dependable Aruturuka they have going into the war with tuskuru is Mikazuchi. But while he shares the same principles as Oshutoru,
he is still Raikou's younger brother and might get influenced by him if they find Haku is impersonating Oshutoru.
So Yamato is pretty handicapped going into next game.
>will Emperor die or not ?
He does. However we arent given a body and Haku never sees it. It's been said that he's been poisoned and someone framed Oshutoru as doing it on shitty circumstantial evidence. Theories on who did it vary, it could even be that the emperor poisoned himself with medicine to make him seem dead. He doesnt know about the Hakutoru thing because he's dead and/or it only happened in the last seconds of the game.
That was pretty stylish fighting.
So what the fuck is the point of all this Barbarian shit when we know that the superpowered Generals will just go in and rekt the shit out of them?
Could Hakuoro have beaten these generals? They seem OP as fuck, even as far as mask fighters go.
That's the official Aquaplus character designer/artist.
Hakuoro? Probably not since he's just a wish godzilla.
But the bird people can probably seal them, and there are a good number of bird people.
And all of them wont even be facing tuskuru >>136211729
Sure. He just does his usual strategy:
- Let them invade by retreating smartly
- After the enemy is lead to the right position, isolated and too widely spread to support each other, kill one of them with your waifu task force
Though, 8 of them is quite a lot.
is to show how overpowered the yamato generals are. and build a sense of foreboding for the players of the first game since yamato plans to conquer Tsukuru next.
And of course uta1 fans
can rejoice because Tsukuru defeated the first wave of Yamato invaders
Was it rape?
It is funny how her brother can be so well informed and calm, while still being on all of her stupid ideas. He truly is a master troll, on the same level as the troll emperor in season 1.
Dude is literally a ditch digger and odd jobs man who got told by a bunch of assholes lead a daring rescue mission in an enemy compound to save a bunch of people you don't know in the middle of a war thats none of your damn business.
This one is still 8000 yen buyout and is the limited version with tapestry
It seems like that's a good price, considering it was 6500 originally.
The art book by itself went for 3500 though, in case you don't want the tapestry, however I don't see people selling it for anywhere near that low.
Anyway, the buyee fee is around 1000 yen and that doesn't include international shipping.
Well, you can look at the seller's feedback. His seems fine. I actually bought from the same guy last week, but I'm still waiting for it to arrive at the proxy.
I think buyee is fine since they're a part of tenso. They say they'll inspect what's received to make sure it's the correct item from the auction.
The soldiers of Yamato are far more competent than in other series with overpowered generals.
Then again, if you mess up, you'll probably be incinerated along with the ramble.
Its fully voiced besides Hakus inner monologues.
Even if your nip isnt strong enough to read, if you can understand animu without subtitles
you can understand False Masks.
The only thing I didnt fully understand was the huge infodump when the emperor tells haku about literally everything at once.
>you will never be daddy's little girl
Benawi beats her next arc with tactics and strategy.
destoryed her army's supplies made her go on the offensive out of desperation and created a situation where she can not abuse her mask power without friendly firing on her own troops, Vurai wouldn't have cared but Hammertits care about her soldiers.
These threads always have the same posters, out of the 80 or so posters that frequent these thread I would guess that less than 15 actually know moon and the rest are parroting what they read in spoilers making the number seem larger.
Do I even have to say it?
>Vurai fucking annihilates an entire city just to get rid of a few Uzuurussha stragglers
Either Yamato is really, really well off that they can afford to lose a city of that size and not hurt their economy, or Vurai is going to be chewed out back at the capital.
Pretty good episode. Seeing the generals in action was great. Don't know why they did the triple take so many times. Like they couldn't decide what they wanted to emphasize in the episode and just over did it. Triple take is fine if you use it to emphasize one particular scene, but using it 3 times just waters it down. Should have saved it for Vurai exterminating the city.
The entire soundtrack is great but they should've made the music during his appearance more dramatic to add to the "Oh shit it's Gojira"
Instead we got "There goes that Gojira. Destroying the Tokyo tower again."
The problem is it was done so poorly it failed to immedately register as a replay. These things are usually accompanied by a sound or visual effect to make it more impactful. Here they had nothing at all, like it was just a normal continuation of the scene.
I wonder if they changed sound directors. Most of the glaring issues have been audio related.
the capital is much more bigger heck it has that Aztec pyramid that can be seen for miles.
not too mention the emperor literally gives no fucks because he is sitting on a treasure trove of old earth technology he has collected for the past 500 years.
The bio dome beneath the palace the emperor resides in is a full blown research lab with all manners of the old world technology , gizmos and the command center for the kill sats which is probably one of the big reasons the emperor is not really too worried about being invaded by mongols or other plebs ,one of the more interesting technology possessed by the emperor is the ability to enter fold space/warp and one can navigate this crack between the dimensions as long as there is a beacon for the user to reference in their location ala Wh40k astromonicon. this phenomenon is already shown in the anime. in ep8 when haku met the empeor he went from the streets of yamato into the "fog" with the twins into a cave and then somehow right into the empeor's garden in mere minutes. The twins have the ability to open a gate into this subspace for quick travel and act as a nav beacon, their mother can do the same; which is what normally happens every time haku goes to see the emperor- twins open a gateway while their mother acts as the beacon while next to the emperor allowing the twins to bring haku to him in minutes. The twins can take people with them into the subspace but should the individuals they take stray too far from the twin's vicinity they will get stranded/lost forever in not!warp.
i m not even making this shit up, the sudden radical techs they introduce in uta 2 is just as bad as when they brought in nano machines in Uta1
>Most of the glaring issues have been audio related.
Maybe they did. The OP fade in was a bit jarring and sudden. I thought they were just going to skip the OP as it started without it. They really should've in hindsight
I never had a problem with the mechs or kill sats in the first season, I'm actually kinda hyped to see more tech appear. Also curious to see how the Emperor connects to Hakuoro. I already know from spoilers that he's
He has no connection to him, he was just another guy in another lab, the lab where Hakuoro was is top secret, he only got the data about him because Haku's hacked their database.
the more interesting technology possessed by the emperor is the ability to enter fold space/warp and one can navigate this crack between the dimensions
Well that explains how he's lived for centuries.
So what exactly have they changed so far in the anime? I get the character interactions were largely different in the game, but are there any important scenes?
From what you guys are saying the Haku running out scene was original
Why send the generals when he could have kill-sated the nomads? I mean, it would have ended up the same as sending Vurai.
He also could kill-sat the nomads every few years to remind them of their place.
Gives the generals something to do and also keeps the kill sats in reserve. No point in overplaying your hand. The amount of autonomy he gives his generals makes a lot of sense now that I know about the warp thing, cause he probably warps ahead a years at a time so his underlings would have to be able to run the empire without him there at all times.
>cause he probably warps ahead a years at a time so his underlings would have to be able to run the empire without him there at all times.
>The Emperor just fucks around in the fabrics of time while he has other people do his job
you know, if you were an emperor and you had access to time-warping, I'd probably fuck around too
>They see your penis
It was original.
Interactions, nothing much has changed. Lulutie was changed a bit more in the anime. She was much more subdued and quiet over the fujoshi stuff.
so people can have a job really, besides he believes in the escalation of force, the barbarian invasion barely warranted him sending out his best army. the kill sat he tells haku are his trump card and he has only ever had to use it once.
He's already figured out what is probably the most optimal use for that tech in his situation. Travel over long distances is useful strategically, but using it to prolong his life is ingenious.
Hakuoro was a very easygoing person. He had some existential angst early on and took his responsibilities very seriously, but he was a very approachable and kind person. Always felt awkward about people calling him emperor and preferred an informal setting that let him meet with people on equal standing.

Waiting warmly for summer.
Both Haku and Hakuoro are pretty easy-going, the only difference is that Hakuoro had to become involved much more deeply due to the incompetence and belligerence of the local ruler.
Whereas Haku has assertive Kuon and finds himself in a relatively well-run empire that is mostly friendly to him. There's no need for him to change immediately, unlike with Hakuoro whom is fighting for his life at the start.
i don't know about the time wrap thing, the game made it seems more like it just dramatically shortened the distance between point A and B. The emperor tells haku that his long life span comes from the genome mod he gave to himself and haku before the world wide jellofication. He has tweaked and further experiment on himself through out the ages with various degreee of success though he tells haku that the latest perfected revision on the human genome package can be applied to haku whenever he is ready or wants it and that it can make haku live far longer than even the emperor himself. His plan is basically for haku to succeed him as the emperor and even if haku does not want to rule he is ok with haku helping anju and her descendants for the foreseeable centuries since haku will now be in charge of all the old earth tech possessed by yamato .
Vurai is as sharp as a potato.
They probably just wanted to show that the girls have power to stop the 8 pillars. It sets up things that happen later.
Whole town scene is anime original.
She may be a baka, but she's my favorite girl in this series (Kuon nonwithstanding). I want to bully and then spoil her
the same idiots who thought they could cheat him.
orginally 500 years ago before he became the emperor he only wanted to be the kind benevolent benefactors uplifting the local populations and using them to excavated old earth ruins for lost tech. then a faction arose that thought they could cheat him by stealing and destroying priceless technology(because they don;'t know what they are doing) in their simple attempts at becoming his equal. The emperor was really only pissed about the destroying priceless technology part and decided to YOLO it and nuked them from orbit, gathered a bunch of faithful and loyal followers and conquered the surrounding regions becoming the yamato today.
Probably has a big dick
Even if he takes his place, how do you cover the strength gap between those two? Not talking about the masked form, but given what he could do without it compared to Haku's skills in combat are a bit of a gap.
i suppose thats up to him.
one of the sol scens the anime skipped was haku meeting the emperor a couple days after being gifted the twins, one of the first things the empeor asked him was
"how were the twins in bed? have you not tried them?"
haku of course goes WTF in shock but honoka immediately gets worried and wonders if her daughters have displeased him in someway and if so she is going have to teach them a lesson since haku's sexual needs are very important.
So any case my suspicion is that the twins are meant for perpetuating his genes>.<
Hope we get good fanservice of them next game during SOL segments.
super human genome package (lifespan and immunity to various poison and disease is confirmed), physical enhancement from from wearing ukon's knockoff god mask. aslo yakuwaruto is 100% loyal to haku and if he reveals his secret to yakuwaruto he will probably get sword lessons to reinforce his Oshutorru identity.
Vurai's a pussy
I've been playing the game sporadically over the past day and they changed a lot of stuff I wish they hadn't.
>Creepy computer waking scene
>Haku waking up on Kuon's lap
>No tail attacks until they reach the village
>Haku doing Kuon's homework for her
>Haku fixes the mowing machine and pretends he's still using it while Kuon is around
>Haku goes even further and makes it 3 times faster, and ends up panting like crazy trying to keep up and fool Kuon
>Kuon making him trip, and Haku gets the first tail whip for being so distrusting of her
>Haku being generally surprised with how weak he is and how strong everyone else is
>The medicine Kuon applied on Haku not being something to scream over
>Kuon singing Haku a song while he falls asleep
>Kuon talking a bit about where she came and where she's going, also sea monsters
>Ukon suspecting Kuon of being someone important, Kuon suspecting the same of Ukon, and an awkward silence
>Kuon's drugs making people drunk
>Haku and Ukon throwing glances at each other to confirm they aren't crazy and Kuon's drugs are really... dangerous
And this is just a summary of what they cut out of the first episode and the first 5 minutes of the second.
the twins are walking
anti mask weapons. they and their mother are the emperor insurance against the masks users if they either betray him or they encounter an enemy mask user.
every second she is on screen is the best moment of that episode
He overused the light power I believe didnt he?
Did they explain what his secondary power is? This latest episode seems to imply sword beams which I guess makes sense.
It took me to play the game to realize that Kuon looks better in the game.
This fucking smile, man.
if you read the scene oshutorrou got killed by his own mask as said so by himself. other wise the godzillas have retarded and contardictaory regen ablitites, arms and head can be grown back so who knows beside falling off a cliff is terribly cliche.
So dooes Ukon's facial hair ever get an explanation? I feel like its paint or something to disguise his face, but it looks to much like hair to be just some quick fix. Its not like a bald cap, though that in and of itself is ridiculous for how much hair it hides.
the twin's anti Godzilla spell only works when a mask user evokes their mask power so it does nothing against anyone else and it does not even affect the mask generals unless they use its powers.
they use this spell against vurai when he is using his mask powers near the end, and Kuon is feeling the effects of the spell almost as strongly as mask activated Vurai. thats pretty telling on kuon's ancestry and her powers.
You have to hold territory and they can't be everywhere at once. Enemy army could just split up and send out units of ten guys with swords and run around killing things in 1000 little groups while the generals had to chase them around.
>Annihilating your own people with extreme prejudice
How has yamato not fallen yet due to revolt?
Does Vurai get into any shit for slaughtering the village?
I mean okay I get not being able to show mercy to the soldiers on the field. But this hardly struck as a situation that required such drastic godzilla like resolution.
Dude seems like he went out of the way to murder everyone
damn, godzilla was worst part of S1, now it's godzilla's everywhere.
also the dynasty warrior style OP generals was kind of anti climatic
at least the episode looked nice
vurai is straight up from WH40k with his loyalty to the emprah and death to the weak and herectic. his solution is EXTERMINATUS for every scenario.
Besides the other 3 mask general have good publicity to balance out vurai space marine.
Genetically engineered for magic and sex.
I guess. But it was also a enemy controlled city/he didnt destroy all of it/colonial time America was not the best place to live in. But it's anime original anyway.
He just takes out groups of enemy soldiers in game.
in the game they are walking artillery, and in lore they are teleporting anti godzilla weapons. >>136219566
you think the feudal age people of the country want revolt over a destroyed city they themselves barely care about, remember they worship their emperor as a real god and the mask generals are basically demigods in their view. Not to mention the majority of the country is living peaceful and prosperous life in their own cities and could give less a fuck as long as the war never gets to their own city.
you only have successful revolts when the majority of the state/city is displeased with the ruling government.
the survivors if any of the destroyed city might disagree but the rest of country probably won't even know what happened there that day,no social media and no internet for the black op wins.
>godzilla was worst part of S1
I really wonder if Haku transforming with the masks will yield the same Godzillas as animal people or some weird mix since he is some sort of weird human/hakuoro hybrid.
He and the emperor are probably more Hakuoro-like then everyone else.
she displayed all the powers right down to the black mist that surrounds hakuoro before he transforms, just not the actual transformation unless you count her shadow transforming into godzilla and her ability to cause fear at the genetic level.
No it was because Hakuoro made specific reference of Mikoto, so then the professor guy says "oh, you mean that test subject, she was valuable so I had her dissected"
Never mentions the child. Just Mikoto.
He's remarking on the post's writing style, with the emoji face and whatnot. Typically those are things that are made fun of for and despised on this board, part of the whole self-moderation and elitism thing.
It's whatever, this thread is good so I don't particularly care but apparently that anon did.
this fucking guy
>who cares about quality
This thread is great. I see no downplay in quality to the posting. In fact, the post you quoted was helpful to the thread.
It's you, who are shitposting in response to my post, that is bringing down the quality of this thread.
But I know you're just shitposting. I guess for attention or whatever it may be.
First, I am not the guy that did it. And second, a retarded scum should always be pointed fingers at or it will think its behaviour is acceptable. But please, make another reply about how I am just shitposting, like the scum you are yourself. You will only bring down the quality of the thread even more, by your own stupid definition.
Neither side is good or evil, but they're both acting like diplomats, and hiding their real intentions from each other, with "False masks" you could figuratively say.
Yamato has good reasons for shit, Tuskur has good reasons for shit, so fuck it, they decide to war.
Emperor still wants to save his family, who are currently made of jelly, and he has to watch them being all jelly all the time.
Its been some thousands of years, he's tired, he wants to help them already. Its kind of Hakuro's fault anyway.
Just beat godzilla up enough until he agrees to uncurse them.
His usual tactic of granting wishes and curses might not work as well if he doesn't know what you are, since he tried to curse all humans, but ended up missing a few since they were no longer quite human anymore. He can't comprehend their existence, so as long as they don't directly make a wish, he can't use that power to fuck them over. Also his power won't work as well against something that has the same power as himself, like the false godzillas.
All together they might be able to stop his reign of terror.
Although maybe they didn't count on him being not such a bad guy, and maybe just agreeing to uncurse them.
They prepare all these supplies and shit, and in the end it turns out that he might just agree that he was kind of a dickbag in that moment, and that humans have suffered enough.
Cue him uncursing every human, and them all instantly dying due to not adapting to the environment.
End of story.
How old is Kuon? I get the impression she's mid-20's like Haku, but if its some stupid bullshit like she's actually 16 I'll be mildly annoyed.
Then again animal people age slow as fuck so she could be 40 for all I know
I'm not really impressed by this show.
The first half of the original Utawarerumono was actually pretty good, the second half was still above average. But this show seems rather mediocre at best. Which is a shame because the girls are all great.
Too badly paced, too much fujoshi fagservice and fagservice characters in general, not enough focus on a believable military aspect, which played a big role at the beginning of the first Utawarerumono (and was sadly abandoned later), ...
It's not just that. What I've seen of the battles and the portrayal of warfare in general thus far hasn't been impressive either. The animations were ugly too in comparison, even though they admittedly reused them a lot in the first one.
When it comes to "pandering to waifufags" I don't see the issue, since the first one did that too - except that they managed to tell a story in-between - so that's hardly the issue of concern here.
>all this shitty war
>low budget action and bad direction (hurr repeat the same cut 3 times 4 emphasis)
>baron von edgelord destroying the whole city because hurr
If it wasn't for the promise of more baths in the preview I'd be seriously tempted to drop this show now.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PH7tZ4JjH9o that sure is a very different opening. Kuon even asks him about a mask doesn't she? Hope this eventually gets an english translation. I only get bits and pieces.
In the game, he thinks to himself that Kuon looks younger than him, and that she's a beauty. Which also makes him wonder why such a young girl is travelling all by herself.
So she's definitely younger than Haku.
You're telling me I got a hard-on for a boy?
This is a boy? I don't believe it.
>That a pretty big fucking city for one near the border of japanese feudal past future society.
Cities were actually really huge at times in feudal societies, because they tended to expand horizontally, not vertically.
whats this i hear about haku dying. they keep saying he died but implying he didnt. did his personality change or some mind control shit? or did he disappear into god knows where. spoil me /a/
Shit happens in yamato,
civil war soon to ensue. oshuttorou dies, but haku takes his place and fakes his own death because the country would fall apart without the common people rallying around oshuttoru. He becomes a very convincing oshuttoru and successfully fool every single person friend and foe into thinking that haku is dead.
