Kazuma raids the imperial palace and Mitsurugi is one of the ones who tries to stop him. Kazuma wrecks Mitsurugi in literally like two seconds. He starts with a low level ice spell that Mitsurugi tanked like a retard, then didn't realize it froze his sword to his sheathe. Then Kazuma ran into CQC and covered Mitsurgui's face with his hand and used a water spell and started drowning him (since his mouth and nose were covered by Kazuma's hand). I believe his cheat was to just be really talented at creating stuff, or something like that. He was responsible for a lot of the magical weapons the party encounter in their adventures. The Destroyer was just his creation that he technically didn't even create.

As for the items Aqua give, it's usually not the items themselves but the people using them. Aegis for example is a suit of armor that can't be damaged, and automatically heals his owners wounds in battle. But that guy died naturally from an illness. Because in a medieval fantasy world that's actually pretty damn likely.

Plus the demon king's bosses are pretty over powered in of themselves. The only reason why Kazuma's party can handle them most of the time is, funnily enough, because of Aqua. An idiot she may be, but she really is the most OP "item" Kazuma could have brought to fight the demon king.

They tend to wreck pretty much everyone else apparently. Though normal adventurers like Wiz (back when she wasn't a Lich) went hunting for them too.
