I wasn't harming anyone by pursuing a hobby that I enjoy. I wasn't doing anything remotely disruptive, I just took a long time to choose my words. If you literally can't have fun doing your own thing with a shy player in the group, that makes you the ass here, and the only reason I had to leave was because I was outnumbered and the alternative was letting the GM's work go to waste. He knows I'm not a bad guy.

Eh, that's debatable. In the Adventure universe, any digimon with a digivice appears to reincarnate with memories intact, making them the same person they were when they died. It happened in Savers too, and even in Tamers it was implied some part of Leomon was backed up.
If you consider the current Patamon a copy, that opens a massive philosophical can of worms, and the possibility that humans "die" several times. At best, we become copies when our cells are replaced. At worst, we become copies whenever they sleep. Digimon being made of data makes this even less of an issue, since the "same atoms" division doesn't apply.

While the Apocalymon shit was pretty rushed, I did like the idea of "they never needed the crests, it was in their hearts all along" thing. It's really cheesy but it totally works for something like Digimon.

Tabletop RPGs are all about having characters communicate with each other though. You need to be able to empathise with different kinds of personalities, and imagine how they would act in different situations. That needs to come naturally to a degree.

What I did when I was much more socially awkward than today (my communication skills improved a lot with practise, when I started going outside and making contacts more): I created characters who were similar to me (so I could understand how they would feel) in some way, but I emphasised certain aspects of their personality so they weren't mere self-inserts. One character might be more disciplined and cold-hearted than me for example, another one grumpier and more impulsive than me.

Nowadays I can write all sorts of characters in RPs (I still couldn't write a dialogue in a novel though); but back then, I basically took what I knew about myself, and extrapolated some aspect of me (and muted others) so that it approached an extreme.

If you can't manage that, P&P RPGs might simply not be for you (unless you get a chance to play a really simple character; for example a mute skeleton that's mostly the party's comic relief and helps out during battle), I'm afraid.

Is this accurate?
Someone's idea that piercing attacks are strong against Digimon in Adventure and for non-MC seems to be a one-shot kill while MC ones often get reverted from getting pierced to earlier form

I think it's got more to do with how piercing, well, pierces your body and organs, and is overall a lot worse than a slashing wound.

From what I read the other members seem like dicks. Like I understand people don't have to wait and the autistic player might have been someone who should have been kicked, but from what I read it seems like they handled it in a shitty way.

They gather a group and play a game for 7 months, but aren't happy with a player. Rather than directly ask him to improve, they just give him indirect suggestions on how to improve, that the autistic player couldn't do/didn't understand because lol autistic, but continued on the assumption things were okay (I mean what could have changed over the period of 7 months)

Rather than just directly tell him, 'hey you need to improve, we're not enjoying the game anymore because you're holding us back' which would be the fair way of handling the situation they just up and kick him without talking to him about it after 7 apparent months of roleplaying and then they come in and try to act morally superior as if they were being fair to him and his position in the first place.

Like imagine if you went to work regularly and your coworkers told you to draw a picture every time you went to work, you say you don't really want to do that since you suck at drawing, and everyone seems fine for that, like your boss clearly didn't give a fuck. Five month later, you get fired for not doing that from coworker complaints, despite it being presented that it didn't really matter that you didn't do it. That's fucked up.
