>animated by SHAFT
>directed by Akiyuki Shinobu
just what are they going to do to fuck this up /a/?
It's going to be yet another flop that gets forgotten in a few days like Vampire Bund, Mekaku, Sasami, DenpaOna, Graffiti, or pretty much anything they've made aside from Madoka, Bake, Hidamar and SZS
Shinbo is a meme director. He hasn't made anything good at all to be praised the way he is. Bake wasn't his, Madoka neither. He has literally made 0 noteworthy shows in his career.
I agree with this anon. Pre-Bake SHAFT shows, even if they were mostly flops, still were entertaining and had personality. Now they're mostly poorly animated, shallow necktilt-fests riddled with cheap CGI backgrounds.
They're going to fuck it up by giving it Monogatari direction, which doesn't fit it at all. Shaft can't make a normal adaptation even if their lives depended on it; they just have to ruin it by making it 'artsy' similar to how they fucked up Nisekoi.
>probably the biggest honey and clover fan of all time
>mfw shaft gets to animate it after waiting TEN fucking years for something from her to get animated
As much as I hate shaft, this is justified. When you zoom into an object far away, things don't seem to move towards or away from the camera unless they cover a lot of distance. It's obvious this is what they're doing here, because they actually show a zoomed out shot, and because the barrier and train also look so close to them when it's obvious that they're at running distance from it.
Wouldn't be the first time, or the second, or the third, or the tenth time it has happened.
It wouldn't appear like it since they did two of the most successful shows of all time, but usually SHAFT fucks everything up, before Bake they were considered DEEN tier, and even with Bake they've proved time and time again that they can't do anything that isn't called SZS, Hidamari, Bake or Madoka, right.
Well they are running at full sprint, albeit on little japanese girl legs, towards the camera so to speak. I think it looks strange considering how close the camera to them is.
Shaft is just one of the many Aniplex slave-houses, I doubt they even get to see all that Madoka/Bake bux. They're probably paid a flat fee per show like 99% of the industry.
>Everybody already forgot about Maria Holic
The first season was pretty good.
He is credited as assistant director unlike other Shaft shows where they credit another director alongside Shinbo or credit Shinbo as chief or series director. Zan SZS is one of those cases where Yukihiro Miyamoto is credited as director and Tatsuwa is still assistant director. His influence is there but, it isn't as cut and dry of a case of Shinbo not directing as modern Shaft shows are.
Why does this keep happening? Don't they understand that a linear romance is much better than this bullshit.
I don't think I could take that.
so middle girl is gonna end up with glasses mc? or he is getting cucked by the baseball player?
>end up with glasses mc
Unlikely. His foster-sister is undoubtedly going to come in.
Fuck all this SHAFT shitposting. I'd rather talk about the manga. New chapter is out. And it's just relaxing and a lot of eating desserts.
Yeah, just like VA`s are "serious" about constantly telling in interviews how they "love" specific charcters they voice and were "always" excited to be in adaptation of stuff they never read or care about.
I read the manga and thats an exact reason why seeing Shaft announcing to adapt it is the worst decision possibly. Because nothing of it will remain in Shinbo`s hands, just like other "adaptations".
It's the national pastime of Japan to jog in place in next to a moving train. She's bracing herself for the high school entrance exams in a way not unlike that of an Imperial Japanese infantryman readying himself for a suicidal Banzai charge against the invading gaijin pigs.
the only adaptation Shaft fucked up was Mekaku. They tend to improve upon the source material and often work closely with the author so I think they'll do a good job. I love the manga and I'm not worried
