Why are the strategic characters usually the best characters in the series?
>Why are characters whose actions are well though off instead of acting like apes doing actions at the heat of the moment better?
Jeez, I wonder, OP.
Tower of God is great, unlike your bait. Responding for the benefit of any lurkers who might mistake your shitpost for something similar to a legitimate opinion.
As for OP, Khun is the best character in the series. His recent showing where he totally embarrassed Rachel was one of my favorite moments of any battle series. So hype.
Strategic characters are usually the biggest mary sues after the protag from what I've noticed. The author can insert himself there to fix all the problems with a quick bullshit if he needs too.
I love how he's just been completely mentally reaming her ass this entire arc. First the during the sweetfish game and now pic related.
>I love how he's just been completely mentally reaming her ass this entire arc. First the during the sweetfish game and now pic related.
And in the end he'll get fucked in the ass.
I'm still baffled how people don't get this by now, 5 years into the story
YOU DON'T MESS WITH RACHEL. I mean the whole lot of bad things happen because faggots think they can outsmart her and they end up paying later. Mocking her won't bring Kun anything good.
Because bruteforce story is written too much and its the easiest to write about. Writing a story with strategic or rather intelligent character utilizing intelligence takes a lot of patience and calculations. With so many writers being hacks, the beautiful ones are the ones that try to bring out the intelligent character to the front.
At this point I'm only reading because the first season got me so invested. I don't look forward to it anymore. I used to stay up and read the raws as soon as they came out even thought I couldn't understand a lick of circle scrawl. All of that drive is gone now, but I'm still holding out, hoping to see the S1 cast (or Mazino) again.
Why do webtoons always have a habit of starting off strong and turning into shit after ~100 chapters?
It's not a meme. Everything after S1 has been a trainwreck. Author keeps throwing shitloads of characters into the pot, taking away time and character development from character's we've actually gotten attached to. The problem is that the author doesn't seem to have any idea how to advance plot WITHOUT adding new characters.
Well incompetent fools who break their way through strategies with sheer determination are also fun.
Do you read this shit or you just look at the colors and pretty lights they shoot from their hands?
I won't say ToG is 2D4U but the characters are not
I can barely think of a 1 dimensional character, and Rachel who SIU develops more than any other character Baam asides is definetely not 1 dimensional.
She pretended to be lame for years just to trick Khun into working for her, and then killed and maimed her "friends" when they figured it out. Also she attempted to kill Baam, her lifelong friend, out of pure selfishness. Maybe your idea of evil is different than mine philosophically speaking, but she is objectively a huge cunt.
But I have read it. I'm even sort-of following it, coming back to it every few months to read complete arcs without waiting for new chapters every week.
You just seem to want a "discussion" that's just circlejerking over how good the series is
When they get off the hell train are they gonna be on the 42nd floor where Enryu killed that Guardian?
Although I too really like the series, a lot of ToG fans have always had this weird superiority complex.
I thought it'd die down after the series lost popularity, but I guess not.
It's not my idea you retard, the whole story is filled with characters with their own ambitions and goals, Rachel is not "evil" by story standards, SIU has already said Rachel is not "evil" and if you've read the fucking thing you would've realize there's a reason she doesn't want Baam to go into the tower as she repeats every fucking time before acting like a cunt to clearly cover up the reason.
Honestly you sound like one of those LINE webtoon comment fags that don't look at the story at all and don't try to realize there's a huge plot point in Rachel finding Baam when he lived in that underground shit or whatever it was.
And Baam is a huge autistic Yandere that goes insane with the simple mention of Rachel.
I don't think you should judge ToG characters by RL standards, they're all weird as fuck. The world they live in is weird as fuck.
The most normal guy is Wangnan.
He sure makes friends easy for an autist. And I imagine you'd have some mixed feelings too if the only person you knew for the first decade or so of your life tried to kill you and some of your new friends. Other than that, Baam is nice to everyone he meets unless they threaten his friends.
Rachel, on the other hand, has shown us time and again that she cares only about herself and is so obsessed with some goal as vague as "see the stars" that she will kill or hurt anyone if she perceives that it will help her I that goal. How you can read ToG and not completely despise her is totally beyond me.
I always find it funny how Baam tries to change after everything but when it comes down he always goes back to the same guy he was before.
I guess it makes sense, after all he's forcing himself and growing bit by bit also Rachel means the world to him so even when he says
>I will stop her
He won't really harm her or anything in the end. It's an interesting dynamic, most authors always make MCs change their minds pretty quickly but Baam is pretty much obsessed(yes obsessed) and it's a part of the story and his character.
Hatsu will shine eventually
That giant guy is an Irregular?
>Rachel, on the other hand, has shown us time and again that she cares only about herself and is so obsessed with some goal as vague as "see the stars" that she will kill or hurt anyone if she perceives that it will help her I that goal. Are you even reading the things you're replying to?
He's been jobbing a fucking lot though. I'm still mad SIU uses him mostly for comedic relief and makes him stay as a Chibi all the time, it's cute but still kinda annoying at some moments.
>Tower of God is great, unlike your bait. Responding for the benefit of any lurkers who might mistake your shitpost for something similar to a legitimate opinion.
Regardless of its quality, it is neither anime nor manga.
I hate how ToG has a big spotlight on 1v1 fights and such, the first season had a big emphasis on teamwork, using abilities to your tactical advantage, and roles, Now every other fight is a fight between high power levels, while minor characters keep other minor characters "busy" with no regard to teamwork.
I am definitely reading them and nothing you've said has in any way been anything other than a shitty opinion of why a morally reprehensible character is somehow anything but that.
How big will Baam's party be when everyone joins up together?
Don't get me wrong, I love noblesse, but it really just boils down to characters jobbing until Rai and Frankenstein show up to save the day, and it's taking a long while this time around.
So you lacking reading comprehension makes me the one with a shitty opinion
Read the chapters they see each other again, Rachel looks at Baam and then she wavers and lowers her gaze, after a few seconds she suddenly interrupts him from trying to talk her out of what she's doing and starts acting like a cunt telling him to STOP going up the tower, she literally tells him he needs to stop following her up the tower and when he starts again talking she cuts his dialogue again and tries to hurt him with words to disencourage him.
Then he goes insane and says
>I don't want to accept that, it's unnacceptable
I'm done replying to you, you can't even into reading comprehension
>because mods allow/tolerate manhwa and manhua
And mod just deleted gook and chink thread some week ago
>I notice things others dont
>It's ok that she kills people because her mysterious eye movements prove that there is MORE TO HER
>Ignores the maniacal laughter and stated hatred/jealousy of Baam
Exis do not really belong in the story, they're gods that write their own story. Phantaminum is pretty much the only Exis in ToG and he's not a character nor does he really play a part in the setting asides from being it's creator(maybe).
There's confirmation majority of Axes are outside the tower though, they're part or creators of other stories. The whole thing is weird.
Everyone in the tower kills people.
Did you even pay attention to the whole Lurker thing?
Not saying that Rachel isn't an evil bitch, but if she's one, so is Androssi and Hwaryun.
Yeon seems to be pretty pure though.
Yeah I read a bit about it and how Phantaminum is the Top 5 ones.
Whole thing just seems nonsense to me though but I'm still curious as to why Phantaminum spared Jahad and Yuri while killing all the top rankers in the palace.
Shit. If it helps, I'd say it's more the progress through X place (in this case, the Tower) to find/achieve Y mcguffin at the end (or top) that is a bit interesting to me. Hopefully that makes sense. I can't explain it better nor think of any already-existing similar stories off the top of my head.
Probably because Jahad and Yuri are important to the story. Yuri has been involved with pretty much the whole story so far because she's too young for a lot of the events and is too old to be with the main cast. Phantaminum's thing happened ~1-500 years ago because Yuri is only that old. Therefore all the other irregulars entered only within a 500 year period.
Is pic related relevant again or just never ever?
I just want him and Seira together, fuck Rael's a huge retard.
It was a long time ago when TheCompany had them, so I can't pinpoint you. It was more of a setting post more so than a blog post, but it was on his secret blog that only invited users could get into. All it really mentions is that there's a rumor that Urek Mazino followed Phant into the tower.
Pretty sure Khun orchestrated the death or injury of one of his sisters for the sake of another. Rachel is pretty unforgivable but she's not the worst person in the series by a long shot, much less when you realize she's just being used by others and she's effectively useless on her own.
God people like you are the worst. I wish there was some way that enough readers could indicate that they disapproved of your message so that it would get hidden/pushed to the bottom.
