Is it just me, or have there not been any good anime osts lately? I feel like the last one to really touch me was Kill la kill. There have been good OPS and EDs, but I can't remember any tracks that stand out in each episode. Where are soundtracks on par with Eureka 7 or Bebop or Wolf''s Rain?
There have been good ones but nothing has surpassed Yoshikazu Suo's and Hijiri Kuwano's masterpiece yet.
Non Non Biyori Repeat had a great OST. Loved how it had more focus on string instrumentation than piano. But not a lot from 2015 did, you're right.
2014 had some good ones. WIXOSS and Isshuukan Friends come to mind. Locodol also had a great soundtrack.
>x has really great music
>oh yeah? whos the composer?
>the what? dude I'm talking about OP/ED, the music sucks
this is most of you /a/. please know the difference.
Fafner and Mushi-shi, both have amazing music.
Are you joking OP?
Even from that season I thought Kyousougiga's OST was better.
>Waited an eternity for Haikyuu's OST to release everything
>Now I have to wait for the S2 OST
I don't agree some of them have been top quality, Kekkai Sensen/OPM for starters.
>no Hiroyuki Sawano
I know KLK and A0 were mentioned, but I was talking about his compositions in general
Which is the most memorable OST for you guys?
Hard mode: No Sawano and Taku.
Just from this last year Taimadou, Kekkai Sensen, Rolling Girls, Yuri Kuma Arashi, Owari no Seraph, Rokka no Yuusha, *Monogatari, and maybe some others I didn't watch all had good music. 2014 also had a bunch of good soundtracks as well. You're just not watching enough anime.
I have no idea when it comes to composers but definitely Bebop. Samurai Champloo is great too thanks to based Nujabes.
I don't see it mentioned often in these threads but Clannad had a very underrated soundtrack, even if a lot of the songs were variations of each other.
It's just you, OP.
I can think of at least 4 anime OSTs from last year that I thoroughly enjoyed, and I probably watched only 7 anime.
