>this underrated show is suffering because nips are still mad as fuck that they didn't get muh index 3
Fuck them, the only good parts of season 3 would be seeing half the girls get fucked up and watching double jesus.
Heavy Object is fun as fuck and they should feel ashamed of themselves.
Genuinely the most fun show last season and it'll probably keep its place this season too.
I love Index and Heavy Object. As long as I can get some semblance of enjoyment from watching a series I don't care.
Burning Alpha is my buddy.
Yeah, first episode didn't really pull me in.
I considered dropping it and actually waited a couple weeks before finally watching episode 2, then watched 3 and 4 immediately afterwords.
This season seems to have a couple shows like that, too.
It heavily relies on the viewer enjoying the characters since the story is just the same shit every time but a different object.
I like it though, Specially a certain female.
I dropped it after the 8 episodes, everything was just boring and the "banter" fans praise to for was boring too, but I blame the VAs, they're just too anoying and scream too much.
I dropped it after they blew up the first object by casually coming across its instruction manual, which just happened to include how to blow it up in the first few pages. Also the blonde girl was annoying
Did it really get better?
>not watching index S3 for GROUP shenanigans
>not watching to see Accelerator rip Kakine to shreds
Fucking faggots, the lot of you.
It doesn't help that the first three episodes were pretty shit and most people probably dropped it by the time it picked up. Or that the QUALITY is everywhere.
HO is underperforming because it's b-movie material based on b-movie material from a franchise that only did moderately well in terms of video sales to begin with. I'm really only watching it for Frolaytia and the retarded banter between Havia and Qwenthur. The formula is stale and the plot non-existent.
I like the show but I'm not gonna lie, marathoning it would be a slog. At the moment its like a Saturday morning cartoon with what hijinks will they pull this time to blow up the objects, but it would get old fast.
I mean, heck I 'marathoned' (well more like in 3-4 hour chunks here and there) index and railgun, so I don't have incredibly high standards.
I usually watch a 12 episode show in one or two sittings, I don't like following "live" stuff because sometimes I REALLY want to see what happens next when I'm into it, and then by the time next week rolls around, I'm already distracted with something else and don't get around to it; unless of course it's something I'm really into, then I'll get the new episode the second it gets subbed, but that's like a very small minority of stuff even when I used to follow things 'live', I don't think I enjoyed railgun and index enough to have followed it weekly, it was moderately enjoyable, and having a LOT of it on hand to binge on was nice; so I kind of don't want to ruin Heavy Object by not giving it that benefit.
I mean really; when you have the whole show there, it's easy to lower your standards and enjoy rather than making a conscious effort to remember to get it every week (as well as the continual battle to justify to yourself the act of doing so).
Downloaded and watched everything up to the OP in episode 13 simply because it was there alongside the new shows this season.
Those operator maids make me want to pick it the fuck up. Guess I'll have to endure the first few episodes that you guys are calling shit.
>He doesnt know what QUALITY means
>He comes from /v/
>He tries to fit in
>He hasn't lurked
YOU NEVER GAVE UP
YOU NEVER WAKE UP
it's like watching one of these, made in anime.
You werent here for the dengenki bunko 2014 were you anon?
>highest QUALITY show of last season - even over DBS
>annoying unlikable MC(s)
>bland as fuck main girl
>only likable character is a christmas cake
Glorious Nippon taste is infallible, anon. Learning this quickly will allow you to avoid terrible shows much quicker desu.
We got months of hype, and we were having a special announcement about kamachi and index 10th anniversary on the last event, the VAs got invited and called in, they even got mami kawada there and played all the index OPs, only for us to sit through 8 hours of nips trying to be funny to get a
>heavy object anime announced
That was an awful way of handling things and being mad is perfectly understandable. But it's kinda childish to shit on a show just because it's not the show you wanted.
Can't I have both? They're best when they're together.
I expected dumb military antics, and that's more or less what I got so I guess I was better off then.
Not sure why people would expect a lot of mecha action when Objects are barely even mecha and the focus is on the two grunts on the ground.
The first few episodes were shit, if you get past them you get a decent show with amusing character interactions.
It's got some QUALITY issues and the plot is minimal, but it's worth a watch since this season is pretty mediocre.
I don't think people are really mad, but the preorder sales of the BD are very low.
Also didn't they say if you want to see Index 3 please support the authors other work so maybe people could be mad about that?
I never thought I'd be saying this about an anime aimed at otaku, but this would be a lot better if the girls didn't exist.
Usually it's the other way around.
You didn't say mad but the post above said crying and the OP said mad.
Only 1st volume went on sale like a week ago and the show is already being dubbed and airing in english so might have extra revenue streams that offset low sales. Still early to say general reaction to the show, but people are starting to say better things about the later eps.
I dropped it originally because the first ep gave off a very strong impression of it going the typical route of bro getting sidelined while all these generic sluts keep piling up for MC.
Bro has a fiance, so while he does whine about the MC getting all the girls, it doesn't actually matter in the end because he has a girl he actually does like waiting for him already.
>The first few episodes were shit, if you get past them you get a decent show with amusing character interactions.
I dropped it at episode 2 because it was boring me out. will take your word for it and give it another chance.
Also apart from Frolaytia being a total weeb, Japan is pretty much completely irrelevant and the main characters are entirely European.
It's nice that Kamachi didn't just go with "really he's half Japanese" excuse to make them easier to relate to for Japanese audiences.
You dont even know half of it, there were a shit load of clues and hints about how it would be Index III announcement before the event, and those 8 hours of nips being funny had a lot of puns with the number 3, its like they were poking fun at us.
>Miki already said they still dont have any plans for the thirds season
I think Miki just said we don't have a third season yet, sorry.
>This shit has been on "its way" for atleast 5 years.
The movie and Railgun S came out in 2013.
Daily reminder that you should read the fucking LNs. You have no idea how the adaptation actually is.
I can't blame Index babies to shit on it when they only know the anime, the stupid retards.
You have no fucking excuses, it's fully translated.
24 episodes aren't even enough to get to the best early volume
That's because she is irrelevant. She's mostly there to deliver the finishing blow on the Objects if the two idiots didn't do it themselves first (which is a rarity). Frolaytia is 'da chief' so she's has a place in their buddy cop routine, Hime isn't even officially the love interest yet, so she's just, well, there.
3rs season will never happen because the LN are still selling very well. They don't need any more advertisement. Anyone familiar with how the industry works know making a 3d season is an incredible bad financial decision.
I don't get why the anime does it's best to shoehorn her or otherwise extend her screentime as much as possible.
For like 9 volumes, if anything Floreytia is the main girl.
The story clearly isn't about girls though. Which is why it's bombing.
That's what I mean. Hime just feels like she gets in the way and more often than not whenever she does something it's putting the mission at risk because of her petty jealousy.
Qwenthur, Havia and Frolaytia on the other hand have a really good dynamic going and I'm glad most of the focus seems to be on those three regardless of how much they try to shoehorn hime in.
This isn't really an Index thread but the sales are down. However because sales for the entire anime/manga/LN overall are down hard to know if it is enough to want to commission another season or if talks plans might already be happening. They do not want to only come out with a series when the franchise is already run into the ground as people might not come back. Also because Kamchi writes as quickly as he does the books are so far ahead of the series that normal LN rules might not apply.
The LNs are so far ahead anime might not actually promote the current sales so won't ever bother.
The LNs come out so fast that the hold up isn't Index series but the railgun manga which comes out at a more normal pace. As they alternate and might add Accelerator into the mix taking a break helps them so they won't have to have filler for railgun which was not as well received.
This will also bomb, and I'll thoroughly enjoy it anyway.
>Saikyō o Kojiraseta Level Counter Stop Ken Seijo Beatrice no Jakuten Sono Na wa "Buu Buu" (The Name of the Weakness That Has Aggravated the Strongest Max Level Sword Holy Woman Beatrice, is "Buu Buu"
>In an alternate world, Beatrice is alone in her brilliant and shining position that she has earned for mastering sword and magic, and she wants to cry a little. It seems she is promised to marry a miniature orc, but what's aggravating her?
It's like a Waltrude sequel
I liked them at first but she's not a very interesting character so far.
Floorladya just keeps getting better and better, I like seeing strong girls getting embarrassed/flustered, Maid-sama was great for this too.
For me it's just that every time there's kyaa kawaii waifu hijinks that just means less bro hijinks, which is the only thing this series really excels at. No matter if it's hime or Frolatya, I just feel like it's a waste of time.
Knowing Kamachi, it probably isn't something as simple as that. Given that the female's name is Beatrice, maybe it's related to Dante's Inferno or some obscure mythology somehow? Or I could be overthinking it and we're getting sword/tentacle hijinks again. Which is both great.
Despite the trolling that they did I'm actually rather surprised HO sold that low, considering how it did have a decently-sized fanbase in Japan.
They were on crack I guess. I remember that day like it was yesterday and everyone and I mean everyone was pissed.
Yep, people were pretty mad. It had been talked about in Index threads for days beforehand, and people were really getting their hopes up. And then that happened.
I like Heavy Object too but damn it a third Index season would've been so nice. The series was finally at the point where actual shit was happening. It was such a disappointment.
>Every episode is just forced world exposition and comedy duo destroying things, one season fitting in multiple arcs
I mean, the series is kind of shit, but it isn't slow as it's clearly meant for teenagers with small attention span.
I can actually understand why everyine would want an S3
>Tsuchimikado packaging touma and droppig him in the sky with him
>Accel Skydrop and standing on a lava
>Accel ripping Kakine to shreds
>double jesus showing and fucking shit up
>Double Jesus making touma sword surf to punch a british princess in the face so hard
>Fianma and WW3
>sneaking into russia
>WORST breaking Accel
>Despair Horizon Accel vs Touma Round 2
>catching a giant flaming sword
>Accel angelification and tanking a euroasia destroyer attack
>misaka and missiles
>punching the faggot who started the war in the face
>punching an archangel
Shit would be soo good
>Despite the trolling that they did I'm actually rather surprised HO sold that low, considering how it did have a decently-sized fanbase in Japan.
No one cares about a pair of guy shenanigans; that's like fujo stuff but they're too straight for the fujos to care so it's stuck at a weird boundary
Acqua of the Back aka the most hype character other than accelerator.
