The 3d was hit and miss through out the show. There is some really nice looking parts and then you really shitty animation. They should make the cgi run at 30, help smooth it out at bit.

It's not bad, the best CGI I have seen recently, was on show by rock, sure it was few scenes, but it was top quality.

Didn't mind the CG, but I wasn't a fan of the character designs. More of an issue with the clothing and colors than anything, just seemed to be too much going on there.

They had to cut frames because more fluid doesn't feel like anime.

Didn't save the pic but studio's director once talked about it, they literally make everything at high framerate then cut some to make it more anime-ish.

I hope they can eventually manage to perfect their techniques.

That design style kind of reminds me of raver/extreme sports/counterculture style that's not unlike things in Jet Set Radio. It's a very youthful if erratic visual style and is offset by the more classic tones set by the older cast members. It helps create that us vs them appearance, but aesthetically it's not going to appeal to everyone, and its a bit dated. If they wanted a more contemporary youth look they should have gone with printed character Tees.
