First half was scooby doo.
Second half was something bad, I don't even know what to call it. Wannabe action-thriller? You could've made like three different movies based off of what happened there.

Too many ideas, not enough cohesion between them, when the "bad guys" showed up they were dogshit (and kind of went against the narrative because they weren't even fucking scientists, it was just a gang that used psykers), but worst of all was the ending. That was not something you can write up in one episode.

It was bad. Putting aside the fact that he does the same fucking thing every single time there were still a few large problems. The show spent quite a few episodes on some of the side characters then near the end made those characters completely useless to the story. The time they wasted on pointless characters ended up making the ending rushed as hell and even if the ending wasn't rushed having someone literally go around the entire planet in the fashion that he did is entirely impossible given the time limitations.

It had too much plot and didn't know what to do with it. The episodes before the imouto arc were completely unrelated to the outcome.

Nao a cute, pizza sauce a cute, the show had potential to be AOTS, AOTY, even, but they crammed the amount of material that could be enough to make an entire second cour into ONE episode.

Imagine if instead that shit, we had the crew going around the world (sorta like the first couple of episodes, but with more plot and various locations) having Yuu capture abilities and tracking the gang that fucked shit up, which, of course, escaped, and was not immediately captured. There could be shit about dealing with Yuu going nuclear due to all the powers, and the whole ethics of time travel thing, where one of the last abilities Yuu gets finally allows him to time travel again (and make it so that he doesn't land in his shota body), and he has to choose between staying in the world that he has now cured, with his cute gf Nao, or going back in time to fix everything completely.

Then you could have a scene where tiny Nao goes to school with her onii-chan, and Yuu's just out there watching.
