How is A Certain Magical Index even comparable to A Certain Scientific Railgun?
ACMI has awful pacing, cliché characters, saves any meaningful characterisation until episode 7 onwards, leaving us with bland boring characters for the beginning.
While ACSR opens with interesting characters, quickly develops them and their relationships throughout leaving us interested when action does take place.
I just don't know how they fucked up Index so bad, the first 6 episodes are so fucking terrible. They do all this big emotional shit without us really knowing even the main character yet.
So my question is how did one show end up so good right of the bat while the other is boring as fuck, despite being made by the same studio?
Is it a problem with the source material of index being worse or did they just fuck up the show itself?
Yeah, SAO's way better.
>Believes in gender equality
>Constantly tells people how they should live their life
>Likes big boobs
He sound spretty great to me.
>Index starts boring
>Railgun starts great
Are you sure you didn't mistake the series? Because the Railgun start was slow as hell, and it only gets good on Railgun S with the sister's arc.
On the other part, Index starts with Touma vs Stiyl and Kanzaki, then the Himegami arc, then Accel and the Sisters Arc...
>Index starts with Touma vs Stiyl and Kanzaki, then the Himegami arc
Both of which are incredibly boring, with no good fights or reasons to be invested in the characters, just dull speeches.
Index had actual plot developed an interesting world and had variety in alternating between magic and science arcs.
Railgun was cute espers doing cute things with maybe 5 minutes every other episode where things actually happen. The anime original arc at the end was made of pure crystallized shit.
Railgun is a good CGDGT, and Index is a shit-tier battle show.
> Index had actual plot
That doesn't start until basically the end of S2 of the anime.
>developed an interesting world
It's terrible at worldbuilding, what are you talking about?
Railgun is a good CGDGT, and Index is a low-tier battle show.
Kuroko's absurdly over the top shenanigans were entertaining enough to get me more invested in Railgun initially.
I gave up on Index when Touma got in a fight with that purple haired swordswoman and started spouting off. I was already unimpressed and he was just really starting to grate on my nerves
I watched railgun first, and since I knew accelerator was going to be in index later it became more bearable.
The second season wasn't too bad
But Kirin was girl of the season.
