Modern day science and techniques are fucking useless in a medieval world though. Everything we have is built upon previous techniques and tools; creating something from scratch is damn near impossible.

There was this one guy would tried to build a toaster from scratch. Even with all the knowledge on the internet as well as unlimited access to raw materials, it took him years to make a toaster that broke the moment he plugged it into the wall.
