I don't like Saber.
Even in Tsukihime with his low technical quality, Takeuchi's designs have always been amazing.
>mfw I don't recognize any of these
Man, feels so good being a patrician with refined taste.
whoever first designed the characters for Lim Dall-Young to ride high on for the last decade with the worst writing
Was the character designer for Eureke AO also the same character designer for the original Eureka?
>i don't recognize the big people involved in my hobby
>Feels good to be a 'patrician'
Well damn, you posted five character designers so I'll post ten that are better than any of those:
The character designer for LotGH directed one episode in space dandy that was better than anything in that slide show.
Everyone else is shit tier before his genius. That game was haunting.
Appreciating the modest effort in creating potentially interesting and non-cyclical topics today. Unfortunately this is probably going to be filled with
>Your shit taste
>No your shit taste
>No you go to Reddit
in about the next hundred posts max.
He's the only character designer I've come across where his concepts give such a strong sense of the character and the mood, rather than just being a reference for the animators. Sure, the show isn't riding on it, but I like that.
Also came here to post this.
Kouhaku Kuroboshi's character designs have sold a lot of artbooks.
It's a shame so few of these series adaptations stuck with his style.
Maybe you just don't recognize to many character designers.
Ito - works on most Yuasa anime: Kaiba, Kemonozume, Child Machine, he also adapted the source material designs for Ping Pong, Tatami Galaxy and Mind Game
Sadamoto - most Gainax works and the guy has variety: Wings of Honneamise, Evangelion, FLCL, Diebuster also Hosoda films. I mean the guy created some of the most iconic designs in the medium
Sadamoto - Angel's Egg, Uri no Tora he also created designs for lots of the Final Fantasy installments. Just google the guy, his art is beautiful/, stylish and very characteristic
Take - designs for Katanagatari, Zaregoto and worked on the JAE short - I can Friday by Day.
Also gonna add Umakoshi, adapted shitload of designs like Berserk but he also created original ones for Casshern Sins and Precure.
Reddit is the place true oldfags hang out. I consider myself lucky for not being part of the first batch of 4chan autists (2003-2006). I'm rather a superior '07 gen.
It only takes a few minutes to look up on Google on how cringeworthy oldfags were with their literal reddit/something awful-tier comedy.
Yabuki or Mashima
Tomonori Kogawa, Kenichi Yoshida are very good.
Recently I've liked Shota Iwasaki's art and designs in Punchline and Naoyuki Asano.
Kubo is my favorite fashion designer.
Literal hack designer.
>Make broad, sharp eyes
>Subtle :3 looking mouth
>Extra highlights and pink skin where articulations are
>If possible, band aid in knee
>Knee covered with thigh high socks? Doesn't matter just slap it in there.
There you go, you are now Watanabe.
07-08 were mostly the same, just with a bit more self awareness and more funny animu face templates pasted on every image
It wasn't til maybe 2009-2011 that all the mspaint comics had been reposted to death that idiots started just assembling them into shittier comics
That's what's so great about Adachi. My favourite manga/anime is Touch. And reading anything else from Adachi makes me feel like I read Touch for the first time again. It's like when you were a child and you force your parent to tell you the same story over and over again but always a bit different so it feels new everytime you here the same story.
No i'm not, go do it yourself if it's that easy.
I came in here to post Naoyuki Onda. Patrician taste.
