Read the motherfucking guide: buyfag.moe
Anyone know if this will be available in normal stores in Japan and not just in the online ones?
Picked these figures up in Tokyo a couple days ago, it's the start of my collection! Ougi figure is my favorite so far.
I feel truly sorry for you guys.
No man should ever have to fear for his safety just because he likes cute 2D lolis or DFC.
I wouldn't mind setting up a forwarding service for britbongs or other concerned /a/nons in the Schengen area if it were even remotely feasible
But that aside, my
syrianmailman delievered pic related today.
Newfag reporting, got a question about deliveries. I live in an apartment complex and quite a few people here (including the staff) know me pretty well. I want to buy something from Toy Demon, but sometimes the delivery people in this area have a habit of just dropping stuff off at the main office. Should the packaging be discreet enough to avoid suspicion?
>hating Takaki favourite senran
As long as it's actually marked as 'book' and/or is under the tax thresholds on the package it'll probably pass through customs before they even have the time to bother giving it second glance.
It'll probably be marked as "doujin" which then gets might get taxed if it's high value enough because UK Customs don't know that doujins is a type of book.
That being said customs never actually opens packages unless the xray makes it look like an AK47 so it'll be fine.
I need more levi figures. I wonder if they are going to make a suntan version of her second figure.
Was the OAV cancelled? I remember watching the trailer few years ago, before the original Levia-tan got released.
I bought it for 6000 yen at the Mandarake store in Akihabara.
Ah, damn. I shouldn't keep trying to pick up lottery prizes so quick after release.
Any reason why I shouldn't use canned air to dust of my figures, have some left after I used it to dust of my desktop?
If you're not actually taking your figures outside your room you're just blasting dust all over the place. It's also not going to remove it all by itself.
It's useful to get the job done faster, but game a makeup brush to finish up.
It's not just about holding it straight you know, and the contents are not simple air either, blast too close and it condenses right on the surface. Old air cans can also expel drops of the shit contents.
If you've ever tried to use canned air to do anything other than remove the thick layers from the inside of a computer you ought to know that it doesn't dust for shit
it's going to leave a thin layer of dust behind that you'll have to dust off with a normal method anyway
And I already said to use the air as a means quickly remove the more built up area and use a makeup brush to finish off. If actually use it properly you're not going to damage a damn thing.
Cloths only work out if you've got a figure with lots of smooth surface area with no possibility of snagging.
Pot calling kettle, eh?
Thanks, anon. I guess I could have been a little less autistic and found that myself.
Who else is getting this delicious milf?
She'll look so good next to my Mamiya.
Here you go! Hope this gives a good idea of the scale.
does she have a figure? or is it one of those cases of never ever?
Does anyone own this?
Yeah, so how the fuck do I get her crossed arms on and have them stay on?
What's your figure that has appreciated the most?
Pic related, it's mine.
Just like the promo photos, if not better.
The supports are lackluster, but other then one, not needed.
There is no need to use that much force to dust figures. A simple $6 Kabuki make-up brush is more than enough.
truely a cancerous fanbase
Just ja-ja-jam it in. If they don't stay on then you might need to use a little bit of school glue. The arm hole might me loose on yours.
Also, Sakuya is best touhou.
Do you need to use a proxy/forwarding service to order internationally from the kotobukiya nippon site? I want the Rory Mercury fig with the extra face but fucking about with their site is a huge pain and I can't read nip to see what all this says. Am I just better off getting the normal version from amiami?
>implying some anon's shit taste excuses your own
Prisma Illya is Fate's only redemption. Everything else is shit.
>Just ja-ja-jam it in.
Yeah I figured it out. Jesus Christ it's like a science.
For a moment there, I thought you didn't have the PCB Sakuya figure and was about to be disappointed. Now I see it's just hidden in the darkness.
Anytime. Enjoy your Sakuya nendo.
I have a very old and derpy Sakuya figure coming after Amico returns from her holiday break. I will collect all of Sakuya's figures, even the bad ones.
8 years and still going strong.
You are wise to question things. I am glad some people on 4chan aren't stupid.
She is from a thread on the futaba figure board. Looks like someone made it themselves.
I'm really impressed with how quickly new images are added. Within a minute of a manufacturer posting on twitter or their blog it is usually up on MFC.
She looks cute and innocent from the front. I love the juxtaposition of sluttiness and cuteness. Too bad she is a poor quality prize.
it's more of the bend in her back that makes it stick out so much
Do you have Kourindou Sakuya yet?
In a pose that shows movement.
Yeah, picked the full size version by accident.
Probably just something that someone made that they will be bringing to wonfes.
Here is the post that I took the image from. Go investigate.
if the puff balls were better it would be a perfect figure
Those kind of look like Cocoa Puffs.
Or rabbit poop.
I'm hesitant to spend more than 6,000 yen on a nendo. But if it has a lot of extras I may increase that limit a bit. The most I paid for one was about $67 cdn after shipping, but it came with a quite a few extras so I didn't mind much.
Sounds that way, sadly. All I can ascertain now is that its wonfes 2016, they don't even seem to have even updated their homepage with it yet. Well, if it doesn't get picked up maybe our favorite Chinese will do a recast.
Should i do it? , saw the prototype at SDCC last year and it looks incredible, $340, i bought their raiden statue and its probably the best in my collection
>Guys I'm new and can't use google, so please spoonfeed me.
You can definitely tell when it's the school holidays. The quality of posting does noticeably drop as the age of the posters drops.
Anyone else waiting for April? My slutterfly collection takes pride of place in my living room. One of these days I'm going to use an actual tree for it but finding the right one in the middle of suburbia is a hassle. Everyone seems to think trees are property to be owned.
It's a figma.
on paper it seems fine but over all we want the quality guts is getting in a figure for her.
Do you really need more info on that?
is tokyo otakumode having a shop a new thing? I came across it the other day and it has nice stuff that's easy to order, I don't know how good the prices are though and the guide doesn't mention the site, I thought tokyo otakumode was just a news site
I really do like those figures. I have a personal rule where I can only buy a handful certain characters' figures which basically rules out OC figs for me, but those were tempting.
My Ching Chong came in the mail.
She's much larger than I was expecting.
Ordered pic related since I just couldn't stop myself.
Awesome! Inu Sakuya is on suruga-ya right now if you want her as well.
>reading stories that will never reach their conclusion and you know it
If the story's never going to end then there's no point. "The journey is more important than the destination" requires there to actually be a destination and an intent on getting there eventually.
>spoilers are such a big deal?
I never got the big deal about spoilers. Maybe it's just me, but hearing/reading about an ending is in no way as impactful nor does it hinder my enjoyment of something. There's a difference between hearing about something secondhand and actually experiencing it.
I've never even heard of this series, but I want her.
Go for it, the figures were the source material anyway.
Like I wrote earlier, it doesn't really make an impact on me. I'm fully in the moment when I'm watching things, I don't have time to be thinking "OH SHIT, IS THIS WHEN HAN SOLO DIES?".
Really, like plenty other HJ franchises, the main point is the merchandise, the anime series are just long commercials for them.
She is great. Just make sure you use the hammer support properly or her arm will gradually bend and pop out;.
>no doujinshi where rei gets raped by a tentacle monster angel
just kill me to be honest family
>No scale figures for Witchcraft Works
>Not even any nendos
I don't understand. They even show them in perfect nendo scale every other episode.
Looking for cheap B2 Poster frames and I'd rather not import a jap one because they're overpriced.
Hows this one look?
My concern is if it will fit, B2 frames are 20.08 x 28.35 inches i think.
If it fits then that'd be great because of how cheap the frame is compared to importing, i don't want to unroll a poster to measure but i might just do that to be sure that it will fit.
they aren't noticeable when on display. it's a nice fig for the price
That size didn't work for my B2 and I manually measured my B2s and they were all different sizes by 3-5 mm so don't believe the default sizes online and manually measure yours.
You could always just make your own frames. It will cost you about $10-$20 in materials per frame. The only tool you will probably need to buy is a mitre cutting box to make good clean frame corners.
Once I got sniped for 1 yen. Missed a pretty good deal and still salty. FromJapan proxy has a sniping service that bids like 5 minutes before it ends. Do note that YJA does have auto timer renewal so bid wars can happen.
Same logic applies to buying anything online. Check their reviews/feedback. It's just eBay except for Nips.
Yeah I was looking into those.
As long as they don't cut up my posters then it might be good but I can't help but feel like everytime i look at them I'll think about how they would look much better behind a frame.
+ It's there, I guess
+ Don't have to put in credit card info
+ one-time passwords sent to your phone for security
- They use their own rates for currency conversion which are almost always worse than the actual exchange rate
If you've ever dealt with them as a business who accepts payments through them, or even as an ebay seller, they're unspeakably vile fuckers. I'm kind of amazed that Amico et al. deals with them at all, but I guess it's damned if you do, damned if you don't.
If mine can make it into South Australia, the anti-loli capital of human civilisation, then Canada is a walk in the park.
Once it gets to the point where it's asking you for passwords or CC info, it should go to https. They don't have their main page or shopping pages encrypted, probably for performance reasons.
gumi is a good girl. she didn't do nuffin.
Any anons have experience buying figures off Amazon? I found a gift card from like 2008 for $25 and I figured that will knock down the Kotobukiya Juri to a price I'm comfortable with, but not if it's a bootleg or bad condition or anything. I figure Kotobukiya figs are fine to buy because there are a lot of American distributors, but if Amazon is just a crapshoot I'd rather just
buy an onahole or Nier.
Frame doesn't look that great.
I suggest mounting your posters, since anime posters really have no resale value. You can also make non permanent mounts too so it's not a big deal. Do it yourself, a shop will fuck it up badly.
Or buy an oversized frame and then use an insert to block out the excess like a painting, you can even cover up logos like that to make it look nicer.
If you want tips on mounting it just ask, actually I think mounting is the best option, but it makes moving kind of sucky. It definitely looks the nicest.
Honestly it's really not. For the figure, it's a large base, lots of accessories, and it's probably the best lewd loli figure made. If it was 20k it wouldn't even be surprising, but it's way lower than that. The wonfest one made the regular version cap out a bit lower since it's rarer.
It's actually fuck all, sorry about the disappointment
I got one of the original promo posters for Tsuki though
5050 actually I fucked up, it's more like we're in a line and 5082 is in the middle
Nah but I'm still hoping at least, fuck I wish Madman got Monogatari and not that small company
the doll and loli box made everyone ignore the monstrosity of a thing you call furniture in the back.
What is wrong with you people. Get rid of that piece of shit. Cancel one figure and buy something used if you can't afford it.
Wow three whole weebs in Adelaide. Knowing what the population is like (isolated, small gene pool etc) I'd not have thought it possible for there to be so many evolutionally successful people here.
>this mad over a chest of drawers
I didn't take a picture of my umaru meme mug.
Super easy. Buy 3M spray art mount. Don't buy the spray glue, there's two kinds. Go to Blick/Walmart and buy large foam boards slightly oversized, you can ask them to cut it for you for like 50 cents a cut I think at Blick. Or you can cut it yourself, but make sure you cut it with a super sharp utility blade, because the edge will become jagged if you don't. Your blade will also dull after like 15 cuts and you'll need to use a new one. Cut the foam 1cm smaller than your poster, so it hangs over the edge a little. It's better that way.
Then practice one or twice on the back of a foam board with something you don't care about like a newspaper or piece of paper. You'll need to get the spray just right to make it non permanent and also to expertly get rid of bubbles.
Then once you're good at it spray a liberal amount of it on the board and slap your poster on. Easy. Tape up the board with mounting tape. At any point if you did it right you can peel off the poster and it will be like new and all the glue will either stick to the foam board or you can roll it off with your finger. Looks about 100x better than a taped up poster, only costs like $6ish dollars a mount, and it looks better than framed I think. Frames look bad depending on what the rest of your furniture looks like. Personally I think frames look pretentious for anime stuff.
how difficult would it be to get this painted, i have zero knowledge on the subject and would probably find someone to paint it for me, its between this kit and the $340 black swordsman statue
Damn, I've been trying to find one of those posters. where did you get yours from?
And Melbourne probably has a better chance of getting Kizu than Adelaide, so if it does screen there I'll see it when I'm over there for uni in a month.
As long as it's a Japanese or American seller and the price isn't lower than what you'd expect for the fig it should be fine. Unless you're an idiot the main issue with Amazon isn't bootlegs, but rather being overcharged.
Those kinds of posters are even better to frame because they're kind of hard as fuck to find in a good condition and most of the time they're well designed and not tacky like any poster that wasn't made for an ad.
I got mine off of Otaku.com (yes what a name) but it sold out in like an hour, a good year and a half ago. they're all long gone now and they never ended up getting Owari. They are like the only place other than Mandarake I've seen the things. Might be worth keeping an eye out if they get a Kizu one in though
Maybe, I dunno if I'd be able to make the trip to see it in Melbourne though as I'm actually going to Uni here, I'd probably shell out $100-150 all up to travel etc to see it there but not any more
If the seller reviews are okay and you don't mind that the box probably won't be in mint condition, then go for it.
I've bought a fair amount of older figures off Amazon, and haven't really had major issues. The worst was one figure had a delicate part that was broken, but it was easy to super glue in a part that didn't show, so I didn't care that much.
>is scared of being associated with autists
>is a 4chan user
Nobody is forcing you to be here.
I frame my ad posters and none of you cunts can stop me
If you have Makoto by any chance, how tall is she next to Hibike? Makoto is pretty large for a 1/8 and I've been thinking about getting Hibike to go along with her but not if they're vastly different sizes.
Fair enough, it's definitely a case-by-case basis. Ad posters for shit is still probably one of the coolest things to frame and stick up somewhere. I don't see it really as pretentious at all
the >>>/v/ is strong with this one
I just recently tried to get the GUMI Whisper figure as shown in the OP
ordered it since I had Amazon Prime. However, when the package came they gave me Aquamarine's GUMI Native figure.
Now that product page says GUMI whisper is out of stock, so I'll probably just return my GUMI Native figure for a refund
Yeah. I bought her full price, and another when she binned.
Same with cerberus. It's both a curse and a blessing the figures I love tend to bin after release.
She cost a pretty penny to ship, but with her skin and thigh highs, there was no way I wasn't going to order her.
She's still available on amiami, I would recommend grabbing her. Her only downside is the visible supports.
People buy anime goods and hope to never show anyone, it's like the exact opposite of pretentious. Every week we get some shitpost "what would you do if your sister/mom/longlostchildhoodgirlthatisjustafriend saw your collection."
At what point does one become a buyfag? Is around a hundred volumes of manga and two daki enough?
If you don't mind elves instead of demons, this hits your blue skin and thigh highs.
There's plenty of different types of autist.
1) shit your pants and not know level autism.
2) /v/ autist, play minecraft for 12 hours every day and wallows in own filth because too busy playing games.
3) socially inept making childrape jokes in public level autist.
Obviously some of these types of autists don't get along with others. And some like number 2 aren't welcome posting their collections here.
This shit is way too old for them to still be making figures of. What's the point. Way too irrelevant unless they were only hoping to sell to people aged 27+, so like less than 15% of their customer base.
In case you missed it. Animaru/Tzone rereleased this for comiket89. Sold out again instantly, but there's one on mandarake.
Ya, but those are classic characters. There's a chance many people would take interest in the source and watch or read it after seeing a cool figure, then buy the figure. However an MMO is very specific with its audience and very ephemeral in popularity. There's little chance someone will see a dark elf figure and want to play Lineage 2 right now. Nor will they find the game so amazing that they'll then want to buy the figure. You just had to have been there, or buy the figure entirely based on the character design.
It just seems like they're specifically targetting an obsolete demographic. Like they're intentionally trying to lose money.
I wish the Code of Princess figs did better. I'd love a Zozo.
This is the one I'm interested in, and it seems unlikely there will be a prepainted fig of this costume. But so far I've only been able to find it on e2046.
Personally I would advise against getting original GKs if you're new to the hobby. They're way too expensive for something you'll almost certainly fuck up.
Also painting GKs has a very high start up cost because you need a shitload of supplies if you want to do it properly. I really wouldn't recommend getting one if you don't plan on doing more.
that shouldn't matter at all. just pay through credit card through paypal. they are just forcing you to use paypal because all the beaners and chinks are using forwarders to scam internationally.
The only purpose of getting them is to play with them and make funny poses or whatever but they look like shit
if you want to interact with the figs as a hobby get gunpla or something
you and steven can fuck off you creepy cunts
As you say >>135613628, they are funny figures of my favourite characters from anime which I can play with. In my opinion, they are more worthing than the scale/static figures .
preferably a pose that fits the character/costume
Best bang for your buck figure.
