First Rokka thread of the year.
> No sales.
>/a/ and nips still has shit taste.
> LN updates still on hold.
The darkness and despair is my only friend.
Best girl deserves love. Bunnies can go fuck off and die in a monster's belly.
The show wasn't bad. In fact it captured the suspense and direction of the novel giving much detail and style that was quite good. Alot of people did not like the slow pacing even though it was needed to give the words of the novel into life. The producers didn't need to apologize for anything since they tried their hardest with the limited amount of budget and abysmal amount of employees. It still became the best anime from the story and style alone. Nips have bad taste and so do you.
>mfw there'll never be 2nd season of Rokka
Nipps really have shit taste...
Still waiting for BD1 to arrive, being britfag is suffering.
I got mine just before Christmas, took like a week and a half to get from one coast of the US to the other. I hate the giant case, they should've used a normal sized multi-disc one, or thin cases and had them held together in a sleeve or box. Didn't get an original key frame either, and I pre-ordered it pretty early, so that sucks.
A little disappointed that they didn't sub the OP and ED, at least in. Other than that the translation seems to be alright. All the QUALITY still seems to be in place.
>, at least in
I don't know why that's there. But yeah they didn't even go the alternating Japanese and English lyrics route, they just didn't sub the songs at all. No yellow font though, so that's nice.
Nope. I bought it through RightStuf and asked them about it and apparently they ran out before they got to my order, even though I ordered well before the original cutoff date and before the key frame was included as a bonus. So "while supplies last" really means "as much as we fee like giving out". I'd contact Ponycan directly, but I can't find an e-mail and I'm not making a Facebook or Twitter account and hope that I get the attention of someone in customer service, if they even have such a thing.
I kind of regret getting the US release instead of the Japanese, but since I have the first volume I'm getting the other two as well for the pre-order bonus storyboard.
I used to despair at Rokka no Yuusha, then I watched antimagic this season.
>crappy cgi fights
>shitty original end
I least Rokka got a great adaptation and the novels are active. Even the manga got picked up.
Well, let Takeru have his happy ending. There's not going to be a S2 anyways, and the LN readers already have their wild ride. I'm happy enough that the Rokka anime let me discover the LN. There are no taste faggots but it's their loss.
The only thing I remember being listed under extras was textless OP and ED. I don't have access to the set for a few days so I can't look through the menu again, sorry.
Episodes 1-4 on BD & DVD (white subs, no subs for songs)
OST Volume 1
Booklet (contains character and setting info, I think)
Textless OP & ED
3 postcard-sized character cards (Adlet, Flamie, Nachetanya)
6 replica key frames if you pre-ordered by Nov 28-ish
1 original key frame if you pre-ordered by Nov 28 and got lucky
Giant case for no fucking reason
Double-sided cover (reverse side has the same images but it's textless)
Clear sleeve that's ruined by PONYCAN US text on one side
I don't think I'll be buying anything from Pony Canyon's US releases after Rokka's finished, unless they have something I really, really like.
I'll check again Monday or Tuesday when I'm home, but the picture dramas aren't listed on their site either. Maybe they're saving them for the third volume?
You know the amount of times I saw it and I forgot to save it every time.
They could easily just release it and let the community essentially do their work for them as well. I don't expect a perfect translation and I'd mark up what's wrong with it as I read it, and they could do a second pass later.
>even the producers apologized for creating it.
