Since the cast is being announced tomorrow, let's have a thread.
Director: Uemura Yasushi (Dantalian no Shoka)
Script: Uchikoshi Koutarou (Ever 17)
Character Design: Iwasaki Shouta
Composer: Komuro Tetsuya (Vampire Hunter D, most successful music producer in Japan's history)
>Uchikoshi: The protagonist, Yuuta Iridatsu, somehow has an out of body experience.
>To get his body back, he must find the ancient indian sacred book, Nandara-Gandara.
>This book seems to be hidden somewhere in in Yuutas apartment building, Koraikan.
>Meanwhile, Yuuta flies around the building, "appreciating", and sometimes interfering with, the everyday lives of the of the girls that live there, uncovering the truth behind the terrorist attack from the begining and revealing the mystery of a meteor approaching earth...
>So basically, it's a situation comedy surrounding the hilarious misadventures of the tenants of Koraikan! But as the story progresses...
>The rest is for you to see with your own eyes.
-Mihara Michio (Kaiba, Kemonozume, Space Dandy, etc) storyboarded eps 8, 9, and 12.
-Storyboard for ep 12 is being completed this week.
According to him, 4/5ths of the series are "pretty serious", and with plenty of action.
-Yoneyama Mai, Saitou Kengo confirmed for working primarily on Punchline at the moment. Rumor has it the same is true for most of TRIGGER's and Khara's young animators (Iseki, Handa, Mimiya, etc)
-OP is called Punchline, sang by Shokotan, composed by Hyadain
It was good, the ending was rushed though. Haven't seen Garo though. I've been meaning too. Some anons said the OP was good I listened to it and was not impresed
so I didn't watch it.
Considering they've only done like 4 shows in total, out of which 3 were pretty good (Bahamut, Garo, Sakamichi) and even the fourth one still looked and sounded great despite being a giant shit in writing, I'm very confident in MAPPA's ability
>Chief Animation Directors: Saitou Kengo, Handa Shuuhei
>Prop Design: Yoneyama Mai
If this is true, Ninja Slayer is FUCKED. These three + Shouta are TRIGGER's main workforce, with Yoshinari Sushio no doubt doing LWA2, it will be a subcontract fest.
I'll give this a chance but I'm almost 90% certain it will be shit. Who knows maybe it will be a pleasant surprise.
They have some good looking films coming up. One of them has takashi nakamura and michael arias codirecting which is hype as fuck.
>interested in shows because of the studio not the staff
Easy way to spot a pleb. You will be far more effective in predicting the likelihood that a show will be to your taste if you start paying attention to the staff members of the shows you like and following them instead. Even within studios the quality of shows varies hugely depending on the staff it is completely unreliable.
His style is a lot more rounded than Sushio. Look at his Satsuki.
Mihara's storyboards. Ep 9 on the left, about half of ep 12 on the right.
The first half of ep 12 is all action, so it took a regular episode's worth of sheets to do it.
Better than the original meaning of the word, or else it would be an anime about stand up comedians
I hope they are also using the pun to refer to action and not just ecchi shit
Who cares? They've had a bunch of good shows. That's all that matters, unless you're one of those mouthbreathers who won't shut up about sales figures for Blurays they don't even buy themselves.
>Humanity is doomed if you see her panties!
Doesn't look good, Jim.
This is going to be the next in the list of shows that had what seemed to be wacky fun premises with high potential but turned out to be disappointments, like Gatchaman Crowds and Sekai Seifuku.
No, it isn't, stop, pulling shit from your ass.
OVA releases have OPs and EDs anyway so you trying to differentiate Ninja Slayer's OP by calling it a "main theme" only shows retarded you are.
>he is allowed to to do everything in LWA 2
Praise the sakuga god.
>inb4 his wife kill him because he can't meet the deadline
>Script: Uchikoshi Koutarou (Ever 17)
This guy's a hack for pumping out VNs with the same perspective twists, but I'm looking forward to seeing what he'll do with a different medium.
Honestly, the main reason I'm interested in this is because original anime are almost always the most entertaining to watch while airing, and despite being a big season, Spring is really lacking in that area (this, Plastic Memories, the Subaru mahou shoujo, and that's basically it). Plus I have no idea where they're trying to go with this.
So will Spring possibly be the best season for anime in the past 5-7 years?
>Shokugeki no Foodgasm
>Danna Ga Nani S2
>UBW Part 2
>New Lupin series by TMS
Literally something for everyone in Spring.
Plus Sidonia, DxD S3 and Kekkai Sensen. And other shit I'm not interested in but have their fans (Nisekoi S2, Digimon). On paper, it looks like a fantastic season. But I'm just not excited for it for whatever reason.
I CLAIM THE BLONDE GIRL WITH GLASSES.
SHE IS BEST GIRL.
YEAH, WE ARE READY FOR THE
THERE'S NO USE WITH ALL YOUR GIMMICKS
Considering this is an Aniplex produced show I'm mainly curious to see how the manage to Aniplex it up and make it completely insufferable and unpalatable to me yet somehow widely popular and "the hype" with everyone else out there cause they seem to have a knack for that.
