He made an entire city fear him and even the MC and friends how fucking terrifying it is to screw with him. Vegeta has never made Goku fear him, while Shun became an unstoppable force that makes even important and powerful characters to job.

Vegeta is a super powered alien warrior race who lets his arrogance get in the way of saving people he cares about. He's vain cruel, stupid, and only ever shows character development when he realizes how much of a little bitch he is.

Hercule is an ordinary human who although arrogant has trained for years to be as strong as he is. Sure he's not even as strong as the weakest Z fighter. But he has a daughter he loves, he's a real showman for his fans, and he was the only person who might have saved the world from Majin Buu were it not for other stupid humans triggering his rage.And he did this all without any kind of absurd training but good old fashioned human will and determination.

So you tell me who the real badass is? The guy with all the power and confidence, or the one who knows he's weak but tries to do something anyways?

Its hard not to like Vegeta when hes one of the strongest characters in the show, even though he loses a lot of fights, conceptually he still a awesome character, its just that there is no way toriyama could give him more shine than Goku, so he has to be that guy that comes close but not close enough.

Never has a real reformation moment, it's all convenience to him. Takes an earth bride and dares anyone to confront him about being a murderous asshole his entire life, everyone walks on eggshells with him because of his anger problems.

His only motivation is his ego, since power remains the only thing important to him. He stakes his self worth on comparing his strength to Goku's. That's weakness of character. There's nothing badass about him.

Easily his worst character trait, being arrogant is one thing, but obsessing over goku was some gay shit.

Honestly though I think Vegeta could have been much stronger if he just asked for help, he spent all his time training with machines when he should have been sparring with Goku or Gohan, just imagine if he has learned instant transmission.

Goku is a lot more arrogant now. He refused to fully use SSJ God when the earth was in danger, because "it's not his own power". Whereas Vegeta made a retard of himself infront of everyone to calm Bills down. Also, he still surpassed Goku with machine training, it's the cause that made the difference not the training. Now that Vegeta is 100% good guy and is fighting as an "earthling" for earth and his family, he can be allowed to win and even surpass Goku.

This is the same Goku who doesn't hesitate to use Spirit Bombs and resort to fusion when facing a strong opponent. He had no problem lending the powers from nature and everyone in the entire universe but when it comes to borrowed power from a couple Saiyans he goes 'bawwww I don't wanna use this its not mine ;_;'. Suddenly Goku is acting more like Vegeta and Vegeta more like Goku instead.
