Show us where you watch your animu
I have no photos, but it's either my home theater or my PC.
Home theater in an LG 47" T.V. with an Onkyo surround and BIC America VK-12 subwoofer.
PC is one I built myself. I listen to the chipmunk voices of my animu with Beyerdynamic DT 990 PROs.
I kind of want to get a larger monitor to watch on. Maybe even a way to watch my mkv's on a TV or something.
This is my battlestation but now I have a 27" monitor next to the other one, so I haven't been watching on the TV as much lately
I like to keep some distance to my monitors.
This setup makes a lot of sense, believe it!
Pretty much spend 90% of my time awake here, except when I go to work
Sometimes I wonder if the tv is a little too big...
>mfw I recognize those two pictures framed on the wall as well
Oh no! People are making blogshit, rule-breaking /soc/ tier threads on my /a/! Where are the mods when I need them?
Go to fucking /g/ if you want to brag about your room, retard. Adding "anime" to the OP doesn't magically make a battlestation thread /a/-relevant.
I always post the same fucking picture. Too lazy to take another one.
>All of those awesome setups
You lucky bastards.
I wanted to get a pair of Razors but I couldnt find any so I just said fuck it and got a pair of Turtle Beach X-21's which ive had before. The only problem is my shit laptop doesnt have a mic port so I cant use the mic at all.
Please anon, please.
Meh, if the mods haven't shut it down by now they probably won't shut it down. So stop crying and just leave if you don't like it.
Where I've been sitting almost every hour of every day for the past month
On my bed, otherwise on sofa in sitting room watching them on TV
>Not liking Yuuki
Hey man, I just found a random picture to pull up for the picture. I was going to use Sinon since shes my waifu but I didnt feel like browsing through my folder to find one. Besides Yuuki is cute.
It suffices for while I'm at uni, would much prefer a larger desk area than I have though.
Clean that desktop yo.
Thanks. Still waiting until I buy some proper modeling glue so I can guild the M240.
>tfw she becomes your waifu before you knew
>tfw every waifu you've ever had has suffered
>tfw you can change the course of any series by waifuing a character, at the cost of that character suffering
Why does it always happen to me?
>having multiple waifus
>having a seasonal waifu
Shut the fuck up. "Waifu" does not mean "my favorite girl in this show's cast", you retard.
>tfw slave wage and have to spend 5 hours a day traveling
>I know what kind of headphones you have.
>same thing as "what headphones you have anon-kun"
You need to learn how to read. I was calling him out because I specifically know those are fucking video game headphones, and not /a/ related.
PC in the middle is connected to the 40 inch as well for animu watching.
>Video game headphones
>Calling me out for it not being /a/ related
Dude this entire thread isnt really /a/ related.
Here's mine I also have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S which I took the pic with and I usually use it when I want to watch an anime on the go.
That's fair enough but I have general rule of thumb, if you like any of Kawahara's girls. Then I can't wait for fatalpulse to tear them apart.
Fuck you, you know what I mean. There are so many goddamn video game controllers and headsets in these pictures it's disgusting. Literally any headphones not made for gaming could be anime headphones.
Why is your room distorted and curving? Do you live in a different dimension?
Either this or in the living room via notebook connected via HDMI to TV.
Most of the stuff in here I've had lying around for years. It needs cleaning up but I can't be fucked because I'll most likely move out of my parent's house soon anyway.
The second monitor is for doujins.
It's a laptop hooked up to a monitor. Plus my waifu.
Sorry it's blurry, here's a better one.
I would rather not die of a bladder infection, thanks.
enough about me, tell me about you, anon.
only went to psychiatrist a few days ago, those are purely for my physical issues.
Only posted two pictures, and other anons are clearly interested in more. Not my fault they are asking for it. Maybe if you stopped being an edgy cunt people would like you more.
i feel kinda sorry plebs here who still watch on chink&gook TN-panel based displays
watching on a large plasma panel or THX-certified home projector is the only way to experience Pure Love!
i don't live in a 3rd world country like you
It's the no-fun police
there's nothing wrong with anon's battlestation or her posts
I still can't understand how people jump onto every female and scream attention whore every single time
>other anons are clearly interested in more
>56kg, 163cm. enough about me, tell me about you, anon.
>only went to psychiatrist a few days ago, those are purely for my physical issues.
>"There's nothing wrong with her posts"
>"Why do people claim attention whore?"
Your fedora is cutting off circulation to your fucking brain
I just obtained a 20ft HDMI and 55 inch TV as well
>they implied I was a landwhale so I corrected them
>they implied my medicine was for mental issues, so I informed them of the truth
>They are talking about me as if they want to know more, speculation and curiosity are very common
>I posted my battlestation as per the thread request, get called a blogger
Discussing things on an imageboard is wrong! Only image dumps! No discussion allowed!
>attention-whores are so delusional they don't see why people would dislike their posts
Congratulations, you've managed to be the most insufferable retard in an off-topic blog thread.
I'll put something on the shelves other than the skeleton eventually
HDMI cable that connects to a Win 8.1 tablet I got. I access my anime thats stored on my main desktop downstairs. I just keep the tablet on my night stand and use it to post on 4chan from my bed and watch anime when i don't feel like going downstairs. Here's a wider picture to go with the wide I'm watching right now.
>but m'lady would never do something like that! It has to be someone impersonating her!
I'm sure the anti-collingwood circlejerk is just as much of a derailment.
You seem to be missing the point.
It doesn't matter if you're the same person or not.
You are supporting their posting habits which means you are just as much at fault as they are.
>implying it's not you
Seems to be a lot more shitposting about the tripfag than the femanon, maybe if you took your kenji-goggles off you could see that.
"120 hz" LCD gives out shitty soap opera effect and destroys film & anime cadence.
Kuro and other THX-certified plasmas >>119756280 >>119756306 on the other hand delivers deep black levels, full motion resolution (and no blur unlike LCDs) without destroying film & anime cadence (24.976 fps).
You're missing the point. It's not about shitposting, this thread was doomed the second OP hit submit. The issue is that beta retards are defending some fucking idiot's blog and saying "hurr durr no fun it's everyone else that's the problem"
Moved in recently so I still haven't unloaded all my figs yet
>Supporting any team in AFL
>actually liking AFL
the so-called "120hz" LCD is just a 60hz display with a compensator (that also gives out the absolutely-haram "soap opera" effect) so it can keep up with plasma's inherent full motion resolution. WIthout that compensator LCD/LEDs look absolute shit in live action events.
second hand ELITE KURO still tops any new LCD/LEDs out there in gamma+color accuracy and blacks
>I'm saying you shouldn't be using a television for your main display on a computer.
Kuro plasma is essentially a monitor (accepts native 1080p60&24 with HDMI) with a TV tuner and audio processor for speakers and add-on subwoofer.
I've been using Kuro plasma as monitor for years without issues.
I fucken love housefires
No that is 120hz, doing that is illegal to sell.
A bit above 120hz but still gets the job done, digital tweening is something that 120hz+ monitors have however.
I'm jelly of your sheets and sora no method was fun.
My dorm room, messy because I've been packing to go back home Friday for a month.
Damn that looks cozy as hell.
Been doing just fine, it took a while to recover from drinking with /a/ and /jp/ in Tokyo though.
I-it's only 49C now.
Yep, see pic.
My K701s broke, so bought a new pair until I can be assed to repair them.
i'm a purist and when the original source is 23.976 (film or anime bluray) I should set my Kuro monitor to play 24p mode & 72hz (sans interpolation or "3:2 pull-down")
The shit station, pretty fucking dirty atm, though it usually doesn't get much cleaner.
Well, they might get shit faced enough to fulfill the checklist I posted, so there is still hope.
A lot of normal fags have those headphones as well. They're kind of overrated as a product and a lot of people buy them. So much so that Audio-Technica can keep charging a high price for them and people are still eating it up. They don't become good bang for buck until you get them for under $100.
I don't think it's that bad, everything mostly runs directly from one end to another, there's just a fucking lot of cables under there. I guess I could tie them together and try and tidy it up but I need to move quite a lot of them regularly enough that it'd be a pain in the ass and again, I can't be bothered touching anything in here at all since it'll all be gone soonish.
>I'll probably spill spaghetti anyway.
If only Debido kun was here.
I guess someone will recognize this. I still haven't invested into a projection screen and probably never will. It looks good enough, the image is pretty sharp.
Please don't hate me if I like a boat too.
I've had them for ages, before I started reading /g/, and I don't see the problem with it.
As well as my SE215.
Well good thing you know now. Though admittedly these days /g/ isn't too bad with headphone recommendations. The shitposting has toned down since a year ago.
It's more like they're not the good headphones that people keep praising them for. If I can, perhaps I can make the analogy that /g/ recommending the M50 is like /a/ recommending Code Geass.
Well it is a different sort of thing. You actually have a few options here though. You can do returns, in which you'll lose a few bucks on return shipping, but in that case you can really get some high end stuff to try out. You can try searching for local audio stores and see if they can let you demo. You can search online for local meetups in your area. You can search for people locally who have good headphones and arrange things with them. It's not too bad really.
There's no real problem. They're just over hyped by the internet. The SE215 is actually extremely like the M50 in this regard, though to a lesser degree. These days, both the M50 and SE215 are deprecated greatly in terms of value for money.
At the time that image was taken, minimum wage whilst living with my parents. Minimum rent, maximum battlestation.
>All that shit that would have cost ass loads
>A plastic fucking chair
Thanks for the help. Sounds like a bit of effort to really get yourself something solid but I suppose that's to be expected. Problem with something like headphones is that it's really difficult to know whether whoever you're talking to actually knows what the fuck they're talking about.
I dunno though, I've had M50s myself for a couple of years after listening to /g/ and looking into them a bit. Most reviews I read were pretty positive and I haven't had a problem with them, but at the same time I'm not at all an audiophile and I really don't know if I'm missing much in terms of quality and things like that. I'm gonna take your information to heart and try and make my next purchase a little more informed though.
What, the plastic sheen doesn't give it away? Nah, they're capguns. I just broke the orange tips off the end and filed them down because I still enjoy playing Cowboy when no-one's watching.
It's easier than you think. Ask whoever you're talking to about headphones if they know about certain obscure headphone science related things. Like ear and driver impedance mismatches, or ear occlusion. Then you'll know if they're really autistic about headphones. As for not knowing what you're missing, that's kind of a hard thing to pin down. I went on a bit of lecture on /g/ the other day. Briefly, it's really kind of hard to get the ultimate experience, and sometimes you don't even realize it until you look for it.
The best comparison I can make is with virtual reality. You don't know how good it is until you try it out with a good configuration. Then everything just clicks and your brain is amazed at everything.
The real problem is getting good standards that fit everyone. With audio, that's a very very hard thing to do, especially with the state of the industry today where companies all have their own different standards. Generally higher priced equipment will sound better, that's sort of a given. At this point I can only really give you links so that you can do your own research. I personally think hydrogenaudio and innerfidelity, are decent sites to start off with. Head-fi has loads of information, but a lot of it is also misinformed and biased, expect for maybe their sound science forum, which if you're curious about the science, I recommend taking a look at. With that said, head-fi is an extremely good resource if you know your way around the site and are able to wade your way through the misinformed and biased posts.
