Prove me wrong. Elegant, doesn't have a useless big bust, non-loli, legs that go on forever, and British born.
Kancolle on the left, Arpeggio on the right
I-401 > Iona
Kongou = Kongou
Haruna < Haruna
Hiei > Hiei
Kirishima < Kirishima
Hyuuga = Hyuuga
Takao < Takao
Maya = Maya
Yamato < Yamato
Musashi > Musashi
Nagato > Nagato
>I play Kancolle
>Shitposting with an Arpeggio thread comparison
Sure thing buddy.
Hiei is handsome, unlike Hiei.
So you are basically still a shitposter then.
Just wanted to say that Kancolle Kongou doesn't need to put up with bell pepper.
That is all.
Neither does manga kongou. She's doing quite well at the moment.
Both kancolle and Blue steel Kongou
have their ups and down.
But the one that would get some the most is the Dere-dere Kongou (blue steel)
There's Arpeggio scans past 51? Where?!
The one that have already gotten some is the British Kongou (Kancolle)
>Kancolle anime by Sunrise
>>Semi-serious war drama with ship girls killed right and left and glorious dakka done right with the Kanmusus and beam spam with the Abyssal girls
>Kancolle by KyoAni
>>Kongou sisters or Akatsuki sisters having tea and being silly, sort of like a SoL spin-off involving each episode having cameos from other ship girls interacting with the main cast, admiral is a shota
>Kancolle by Bones
>>It becomes a trainwreck by the 5th episode, and filled with awkwardly created acronyms and side switching with fleet girls and Abyssal girls constantly
>Kancolle by Dogakabo
>>Some kind of mix between Love Lab, GJ-bu, and Nozaki-kun featuring Prinz Eugen and Nozaki-teitoku's daily adventures at the Imperial Fleet Academy
>Kancolle by Toei
>>Precure Lite with more QUALITY mixed with badly done CGI featuring a crossover movie with the Precures and Saint Seiya Omega
>Kancolle by Satelight
>>QUALITY as fuck but we get a heroic young pretty boy Teitoku whose a half-breed from Murrica' who hates the IJN but the kanmusus work him over his self-hating racism while his-sister/imouto is a female Teitoku whose madly in love with him
>Kancolle by Shoji Kawamori
>>CLTs, CLTs everywhere
>>Kiso dies after eating pineapple curry
>>Every suffering moment is directed towards Zuikaku, who gets broken, turns evil, turns good again but still gets treated as bad as ever.
>Kancolle by PA Works
>>Screechy OP by Nano.ripe
>>Fubuki starts out having to tortuously befriend some aloof shipgirl (dunno, Shiranui or something) and work out her relationship with the admiral.
>>no actual battles, just a lot of drama between shipgirls
>>nobody gets the admiral
Some of these look like okay ideas to write up. How about a hybrid of PA Works + Okada, music from Amelie and Great Expectations?
Meanwhile anything Suzuya+Kumano would have this manner of music
I will post this occasionally until you like her.
Thanks, bro. I need to update where I look for new manga.
Okay, so, I'm reading this book on the Battle of Midway. What strikes me is the pure fail and incompetence of the Japanese at the high command level down to the operational level. Basically, they are terri-bad at this modern naval warfare thing.
Why is that, /a/? Is it because of, as expected, being Japan?
>flash swf quality
>watching an animated powerpoint presentation
>Ship photo cutout montage
>all the budget goes to an animated fight
>the rest of the anime is just super deformed DDs
That's good for our best ship, I guess.
>they are terri-bad at this modern naval warfare thing
Naval warfare was undergoing rapid changes back then.
wow, this thread just became a bit lively.
Wider, heavier, Built around Their main cannons.
You confused me there hehe
You can partly blame giving the command to Chuuichi Nagumo. He's really not a naval aviator in any way, being a torpedo and surface fleet man.
They lost at Midway for a host of reasons. One was not the lack of forces. It's how they used them mainly. They didn't need 4 different fleets spread over 3000 miles. If they had combined all their ships in one massive fleet and drove straight to Midway, the US would have lost. Yamamoto got too caught up in complex plans. Didn't understand KISS.
I'll let you off the hook due to your awesome taste.
kancolle >big bust, sizeable hips, Thighs,
high end cuteness
Blue Arppegio >Slim, beautiful, Sizeable hips,
thighs are nice But not as big as Kancolle's.
there are kancolle kongu pictures in this thread (red and white) and blue steel version kongou (black/purpleish dress) take a look.
I know, wont stop me from liking both.
Because they were drawn by different artists and different people tend to interpret things differently. Also not every Kancolle character designer is trying to be super accurate with their designs like Shibafu.
>If they had combined all their ships in one massive fleet and drove straight to Midway, the US would have lost
Mahan pls go.
The whole idea of Yamamoto's plan was to appear scattered / weak to lure the Americans out of Hawaii -- he, of course, didn't know that no luring was required, the Americans were itching to slap some japs. Once lured out, he'd spring his trap and wipe out the remaining USN carriers. But due to multiple and serious recon derps, having their codes broken, the plan itself being retarded (Yamamoto only got his way with it after threatening to retire), and finally, a string of hilarious derps sealed the deal.
Not to mention they split the Carrier strike force, the invasion force, and the MAIN force actually attacking Midway up out of mutual support range. The US was VASTLY out numbered in ship type. Japan had over 200 ships including 7 Battleships, 4 Fleet carriers and 3 light carriers. The US only had about 40 ships including 3 carriers and one of them (Yorktown) was actually "damaged" previously at Coral Sea.
Plenty. The game already features the Abyss gaining initiative on the kanmusume with the surprise counterattack at the end of MI in the bonus stage, and there's no reason as not to show this sort of thing happening in later episodes in the anime.
Japan was only good at suicidal attacks really. When it came to war tactics they were pretty much brain dead.
The simple fact they wasted so many war resources on giant useless battleships pretty much proves it right.
It angers weebs, who are the core audience for this awful, awful game. Because they would have no interest in it if it weren't for the jap otaku getting all into it because some big anime names liked the VAs and designs.
How do you turn a ship into a girl? There are no standardized guidelines for that.
Kancolle has some sort of informal rules about displacement = bust size, sister ships looking alike, submarines wearing swimsuits. Things like that.
In arpeggio the associations are not as stringent, owed to the mental models being free to change appearance at will and frequently making use of that ability. Some of them go through multiple outfits in a single chapter. It's a bit of a fashion show at times.
Small ships tend to have physically smaller MMs.
Some sister ships share aspects of their appearance but others are quite dissimilar. E.g. takao and atago look alike but their sister maya is quite different.
Hiei's group wearing matching uniforms is something she imposed on her fleet.
The plan was in large part fine, the major fault was in the intelligence intercept with many minor faults in the actions of commanders in the carrier fleet and the general over confidence of the Japanese.
In the game, the Kanmusume often reference their history. Like the whole night battle thing with those destroyers or not liking fog or ramming into each other. The Mogami comes to mind at Midway.
This actually was translated in-game with the inability to commit assets sent for Aleutian island campaign for the Midway portion.
Anime following through with this is more than likely.
Cause Kancolle maps and 4koma all reflect real life battles. Tokyo express expedition runs were the rat transportation runs carried out by the DDs, and Operation Kon event really took place in 3 phases as it did for the IJN.
The IJN had a few things going for it -- they pioneered large scale multi-carrier flight operations. The Hotels weren't the very most ingenious designs, but they were incredibly powerful and heavily armoured. The Zeroes were very good for their time and place. Japanese torpedoes were very good. The experienced IJN pilots were probably best in the world at naval aviation. They had some good night battle tech.
But high quality strategic thought? Nope. Politics and bullshit plenty of that. Shitty fire control. Lots of trashy design choices (like a command deck that was the size of a small apartment living room, etc and so on).
I am not going to diss the hotels when it comes to innovation. The first true use of bulbous bow to reduce drag were on the hotels, and that they had outstanding turning radius for any battleship.
IJN were unparalleled in torpedo squadron surface action, especially at nighttime. Only the RN had any comparable training at night battles.
How is this shit relevant to the animu? Yasen warrior CLs and DDs were meant to wreck shit at night, and they rightly do in-game.
They're fighting with their arms tied behind their backs though. If they were serious humanity would be dead within a few days.
They could at least show the abyssals die. It seems far too clean.
How can one crane be so comfy?
The Japanese poorly managed their more limited resources. You hear particularly with the Yamato design that they went for quality over quantity, knowing they couldn't match America's production and yet they wasted so many ships and planes, experienced crews and pilots, on the dumbest things because of "muh honor".
You can only wonder what would have happened if they carried out the war in a slightly more rational manner.
I'd rather talk about turret placement with Ise, those black bodysuit are delicious.
Yeah superior human tactics....you mean how a special Fog loli sub just happens to follow a kid and they go to build their fleet with other female ships. You should watch Tenchi or Sekirei. Arpeggio is just a harem story.
Considering the focus on Wo, I doubt it. They're saving abyssal air power to shock the protagonists in the next fight, when Fubuki thinks it's going to go easily with the Akagi/Kaga curbstomp again.
Abyss Jets soon fellow Admiral.
Knowing they'd be pounded if they couldn't pull off their Pacific Campaign in less then a year was a major factor in Japan's strategic retardation.
On the other hand, they didn't even consider getting serious about mass producing carriers until the disastrous showing at Midway. Unryu class was partly shelved until then, and it was only at the 11th hour that the design bureau finally went along with using arc welding to save time with their construction.
Matsu/Tachibana class escort DDs came on the scene way too late as well. The Japanese shipbuilding industry couldn't replenish the losses just in first class DDs, yet the idea of making more economical vessels weren't really taken to account until it was all too late.
I see thinking isn't your strong suit.
Except that there isn't much haremy about it. Only takao obsesses about gunzou. Iona is more like an imouto looking up to her big bro. Well, there's kotone but she's busy scheming things together with yamato.
There are dozens of other girls who aren't interested in his vibration warhead.
>superior nipponese fighter flown by venerable spirit of ancestors
Who thought this was a good idea?
Who looked at Japanese planes and said "Yeah, this can take out an alien Hornet, no problem."
Well, there is Mutsu
Sacrifice more fairies for glorious nippon.
I expect the groups running into each other. Takao & Co., Haruna & Co and the central government. The MMs are terrible at evading intelligence services. 402 is about as subtle as a honking clown parade.
She never did in the manga.
And I think she had the opportunity to restock on nanomaterials by now, e.g. she could have asked maya for some, but she didn't for makie's sake. There's a mini-kirishima inside the bear though, I guess she could wear a downsized version of that if she wanted.
