A mecha show that's not about mechas but SoL social commentary stuff. It supposedly becomes more plot-driven toward the end but I never got that far.

Probably the most interesting thing about it is that one of the main girls is voiced by Yuko Miyamura.

I watched pretty much everything post-2000 that seemed vaguely slice-of-life-ish, hell, slice of life is more than a third of all the anime I've seen.

Overall I'm pretty impressed with this thread. I haven't heard of most of these; I guess to a large extent it's just a matter of reaching far enough back in time.

I'll go with Infinite Ryvius. There are other contenders, but I suspect there are at least some people who have seen Sexy Commando, Fruits Basket, Irresponsible Captain Tylor, Ebichu and whatnot, since they're relatively popular shows.

Maybe also Blue Drop. Shit, I think I watched Blue Gender at one point... now that was crap. I suspect both have been seen, though.
