Moral of this story: don't do drugs
I see Rita as more of a mom figure, Amira probably is crushing though she's a baby but with how much the show went on about her being a child I don't think Favaro is intended to be going to tap that if/when she's back.
More like moral of the story: don't tell LIES
>lies about taking her to Hellheim
>it's actually a pilgrimage for world end
>tell girl to hug your mom and she'll recognize you
>girl gets turned into a key
>proceed to resurrect the god dragon of destruction
You go to Helheim. I'll take as many "concoctions" as I want.
Gilles no you have a problem. This is an intervention.
Don't lie, don't get high, be a good parent or you'll fuck up your kids and actually even if you try they'll probably be a little fucked up cause shit happens but hey maybe they'll work it out
I want to perform an intervention and put him in therapy and braid his hair, just so he can calm down. And then I can see him smile again. All he needed was his hair braided. That's what drove him over the edge, always styling it by his lonesome.
He's so high he doesn't even know where he is
>All it takes is one bad hair day to reduce the sanest man alive to lunacy.
How often was he blasted throughout the anime do you think? And, more importantly, are you anon enough to get blasted with him?
It made his best friend stupid with thoughts of avenging his family.
Still better than being dead though. It was his only good lie.
That lie seemed so risky, what if it'd just toppled into more despair instead of rage? Wouldn't it be safer to like stick around and be supportive bff instead of leaving him alone to maybe end up offing himself if the despair managed to outweight RAAAAAGE? Like at the end of episode 3. But then again, Favaro doesn't seem touchy feely I guess.
He was constantly high like Bacchus and Azazel were constantly drunk. Substance abuse is rampant in this anime.
>what if it'd just toppled into more despair instead of rage?
I don't know, maybe Favaro figured after losing your nobility status and family no amount of consolation will save him. Plus he's so fucking tsun it'd seem unusual for him. Kaisar also comes across as a hotheaded type at least when it comes to Favaro, so the RAGE method might work on him.
I loved it. All I would have changed would be adding epilogue for Rita and Azazazel. Well, I'd hoped Amira would be okay but the end picture makes it all right.
But I thought the episode was well done and it was a joy to watch.
>put Lavalley in The Wire
>watch him do weird ass scams and fucked up shit in West Baltimore to cop dope
A lot of people in the past threads liked it. Some people wanted a bit more time for closure, which is understandable, but overall the response was pretty positive.
It probably glowed because all the demons were all congregated. Otherwise it should've when he was walking around as Lavalley (well, he's technically the same but you get what I mean).
Well get to it then, it's not gonna suck itself.
>he might have actually looked this cute and innocent once
I suppose so. Damn it's two tsuns stuck together even though Kaisar wants to be dere
>But Lavalley didn't have a bounty
What drove such as handsome man to madness? Well, I guess that's not too unusual given some high profile cases.
>But Lavalley didn't have a bounty and was disguised as a human
The only way a demon could 'disguise' as a human was through the god key a la Amira. He was a human all along and if the bracelet was glowing it was probably because every demon of demonkind was attending the Abos ball.
>tfw I still am
You gotta work through the pain, anon.
Lavalley is Gilles de Rais.
I dunno anon.
He neither human or demon, he's stick somewhere inbetween. With all his concoctions, he made Jeanne and Faravo a demon why couldn't he make himself one? There is no reason for the bracelet to respond to the demons far below fighting.
I'll agree with you that he isn't fully human anymore. He's probably something like Rita because he mentioned "unfortunate bodies".
It just wouldn't make sense for the bracelet to glow to him when it never had in earlier iterations.
>It would now that he's is in his actual form, the form of a known bounty.
I thought of that originally, but the bracelet glows exclusively to demons. Else it should've glowed to Favaro since he had a bounty.
Lavalley is basically anime Gilles.
>That was never said though, we've see it glow to demons and to bounties.
I don't remember if it's been said, but it has been shown. Do you have an example of it glowing exclusively to non-humans? Because I just mentioned it didn't glow to Favaro.
So again it's glowing because demons were nearby in Abos.
So much confucion about the topic, let's clear it up a little.
"Lavalley" is how Gilles actually looks. Since it's a human form, bracelet doesn't glow as a response.
Martinet is how he looks when he passes as a demon, bracelet could glow to him in that form.
To pass between those two forms he uses the concotion, and presumably an antidote in order to avoid bracelets when he goes back to his human form.
When with Belzebuth he needs to turn himself into a demon in order to use black magic and blend in, which is why he poses as Martinet. It is unclear wether he can use his magic as Lavally/Gilles, but his body is modified and resistant to human weapons.
Bracelets glow to DEMONS not bounties. There's enough evidence for that in the series.
This anon gets it.
And since his body is modified to weapons, human ones at least, does that mean he cannot die? Or could he die by the sword Michael gave Jeanne?
>"Lavalley" is how Gilles actually looks. Since it's a human form, bracelet doesn't glow as a response.
>Martinet is how he looks when he passes as a demon, bracelet could glow to him in that form.
What I was saying.
Let's Bahamut to the max! Next week!
We still have the game and possible sequels and supplementary materials to look forward to maybe?
>played RoB for well over two years
>they finally made a show about it
>the main character is a douchey afro'd ginger
The series itself is inconclusive whether Dark Jeanne is a full fledged demon or a 'human of demonic attributes' and is ambiguous about Gilles as well. It's never shown whether Kaisar's bracelet glows to Favaro either.
The bracelets react as a means of protection against black magic, use of which is the reason for a bounty. Petty criminals don't have Bacchus' bounties on their heads, petty criminals who dabble into occult and summon illegal shit do.
>We still have the game
Speaking of that, there was an interview with one of the staff from Cygames and when asked if he wanted to do anything with the universe he said he might make a spinoff game. Here's to hoping.
I wonder what kind of game he would mean? If he meant the one that exists getting he would have said it differently I guess
I'll never understand /a/'s paranoia when it comes to crossboarders. Literally any other board doesn't mind them...except /a/.
In which ways? Enlighten us. But we aware that the game was meant to bring new people into the game, not glorify the game for old users. You guys are already playing, you aren't the target of this shw, but if you were a little bit more open minded, you could enjoy it as much as we do.
Would you get high with him though? Sit by the fire in his warm room and toke up? I would. I wouln't even care what sort of weird ass concoction he gives me.
Do I have good news for you
I doubt any anon here would do naughty things to Unica-chan.
>different established kingdoms
>the primordials don't exist in the show
>realms mean nothing
>instead of warring nations and guilds, it's a story about a demon girl living with humans (which is already established as impossible in the game)
>key characters that shaped Rivenbrandt, like Olivia, Thor, Zeus, Odin, Nightmare, and the priests of Mysteria are nowhere to be seen
>the game makes it very clear that few people know magic, yet everyone in the show does
>is the bazaar even mentioned? It's described as the pulse of Rivenbrandt in the game
A man this handsome can tongue roofie me any day. I'd only fight back if he were in Martinet mode.
Rita is very loving, even if it doesn't show on her face. She wanted to stay with her parents even if they died 200 years ago. She also really cares for Kaisar, hence her tagging along.
If the concern is casting then I'm wholeheartedly behind the choices that have been made by the anime staff. The card designs are impossible to animate, and for a significant part are over detailed and ornamental but not that interesting. Take a look at this faggot here, Albert. So popular, has like 4 sets in the jp versions above PWR 37. But looks how boring he is, how generic. Look beyond the fancy art into the design itself.
And even the designs that were adapted caused the animators constant pain. They've mangled Azazel a lot in order to rid him of some of that detail, took off the harness, horns ect. and animators were still bitching about him.
Then I'll apologize for being quick with you.
But understand that the show is meant to be standalone and easily accessible for the non-playerbase audience. At least that was the intention from the game company.
Albert is actually probably the most fun man realm character/card in Bahamut, he's also pretty goofy in the event stories.
Also most favorite has to be Jeanne, considering she has 5 different cards/final forms when you factor her original's getting a 5th form evolution.
To me it looks like the show just don't dabble too deep into the lore, but nothing that happens contradicts it. It's just ommitted but it could very well exist if you had more time and episode to build uo the world more. And yeah it's evident that clans and factions are competing against eachother. Did you even watch it?
A lot of the designs do have that super impractical detail style. To do it all proper they'd need high budget cgi. Would have liked more card cameos though with any they could manage to pop in though since going though the ones I've managed to get so far there's some nice possible low level monsters.
Loki shows up
Its clear the anime is supposed to be a loose adaption to the game, not a direct one. The events of "Genesis" as well as the title is a spin-off.
Neither Favaro or Kaiser are supposed to represent the hero Knight MC in the game. The story of the anime probably takes place prior to the events in the game.
>generic shounen spawn
String together more buzzwords if that suits you. The entire reason the game is so successful because design wise it panders to everyone; monster musume fags, lolicons, shotacons, fujoshi, etc...
>There you have your problem, prevalent horrible taste for boredom
Yeah sure, whatever. Jeanne is the mascot character of the game with the Bahamut, retard.
>One Legend card
>Also has a 5th form evo
>One Demon Legend card
>Two X-Legend ones, and Jeanne of Orleans is the second most powerful man card in the game
And plenty of other characters look like generic fapbait. What's your point?
>tfw have a 6-11 super'evoed Albert with 29.5k atk
>only other man card I have that is stronger is my Princess Merville who does 30.3k attack
Game made 2 billion this year alone. And you wouldn't have the anime without the game.
Mobage > You.
Cerberus doesn't want to die.
I'm really confused as to what kind of point you're trying to make? That the anime should have stuffed as many cards as possible with the exact same intention to pander to everybody? That it should have been exactly the same the card game is?
And that the characters should reflect the card statistics 1-1, recreate the game events and only then you guys would be satisfied?
That wasn't the point he was making other then that calling out one character as being "over-designed" or generic is retarded.
Everything else is you projecting and make some kind of really weird strawman about stuff neither of us said.
Let's work on your reading comprehension:
You said he looks generic
Responded rebuking your retarded nonsense about designs or generic style in appearance.
You respond by talking about out of the blue a strawman argument about nothing said prior about more characters or cards should be in the anime. Then you followed up with more nonsense about gameplay mechanics and crap like that which no one said anything about.
And now you get called out again for being stupid while samefagging.
You have it several posts above, /v/fag comes in and claims game "veterans" hate the anime, he is then asked why. To which he replies by lising a number of differeneces between the anime and the game.
And that in itself is pretty autistic. Judging a loose adaptation solely on the grounds of being faithful to the canon is a terrible practice.
I'm not every anon mate, this is the extent of my involvement in this talk.
So much ire between animefags and cardfags. Why not enjoy both?
To an argument about aesthetics you reply with the game jargon mumbo-jumbo. This is my first time talking to a /v/irgin, please try to be more adjusted around here, all things considered.
The only benefit anyone here needs is you with the rampant shitposting, samefagging, and inability to actually argue since you keep making shit up.
>character doesn't look generic
>HOLY SHIT ARE YOU SAYING THE ANIME SUCKS?
When a person talks about the sky, do you randomly think they're insulting the sea?
I go away for a while and this thread goes off the rails.
To me the bigger moral lesson is: You can even prevent the end of the world as long as your bro has your back.
I want a special extended version of the episode on the BDs and a follow up movie where such scenario could happen but only if it's well justified within the canon. No bullshit happy endings please and no skimming on Azazazaz.
>implying he didn't save Favaro by turning him into a human
Everyone who doubted Kaisar should feel bad.
Even he acknowledges this. Still best tagalong because FAVAROOOOO.
Next time he gets useful he'll lose the other arm.
The plot and the original cast is pretty much done and Bahamut may come back after a hundred years or more but with a different story.
What I really like to see is an ova prequel showing Zeus and Satan trying to stop Bahamut or explaining what it is or where does it come from or who was that human who stopped Bahamut, something like in the first chapter.
Kaisar's limb loss was fucking dramatic, but Favaro's leg just randomly detached.
I don't know about you guys but I give this a good 9/10.
That literal bitch demon was really useless, wasn't she?
Would've wanted to see the other demon lords and angels. They have some pretty interesting character designs.
Also, second season confirmed?
