I drop shows like I drop my books. If I am reading a book and after an hour I am still not entertained then I will put it away and start with another.

Same goes for a series. If by the second or third episode I am not engaged, then the series is not for me and I will go to another one.

For example. Several years ago someone told me to watch One Piece. Everyone was raving about it. I watched 5 episodes of it but couldn't be bothered to watch more. For me personal the story was bland, the artstyle was annoying and the pacing was horrible.

I stopped watching in and never regretted it. Same goes for Stein's gate. Lot's of people like it, but I had to stop watching it because I was still bored after the third episode.
